A synthetic route is presented to attain high‐optical‐quality multilayered structures that result from coupling ordered mesoporous titanium oxide thin films to the surface of a dense one‐dimensional photonic crystal. Such architectures present spectrally well‐defined photon resonant modes localized in the outer coating that finely respond to physicochemically induced modifications of its pore volume. The potential of these porous coatings in detection of environmental changes through variations of the photonic response of the ensemble is demonstrated by performing isothermal optical reflectance measurements under controlled vapor‐pressure conditions.  相似文献

HEV32, a 32-residue, truncated hevein lacking eleven C-terminal amino acids, was synthesized by solid-phase methodology and correctly folded with three cysteine bridge pairs. The affinities of HEV32 for small chitin fragments--in the forms of N,N',N"-triacetylchitotriose ((GlcNAc)3) (millimolar) and N,N',N",N"',N",N"'-hexaacetylchitohexaose ((GlcNAc)6) (micromolar)--as measured by NMR and fluorescence methods, are comparable with those of native hevein. The HEV32 ligand-binding process is enthalpy driven, while entropy opposes binding. The NMR structure of ligand-bound HEV32 in aqueous solution was determined to be highly similar to the NMR structure of ligand-bound hevein. Solvated molecular-dynamics simulations were performed in order to monitor the changes in side-chain conformation of the binding site of HEV32 and hevein upon interaction with ligands. The calculations suggest that the Trp21 side-chain orientation of HEV32 in the free form differs from that in the bound state; this agrees with fluorescence and thermodynamic data. HEV32 provides a simple molecular model for studying protein-carbohydrate interactions and for understanding the physiological relevance of small native hevein domains lacking C-terminal residues.  相似文献

The structures and stabilities of cyclic DNA octamers of different sequences have been studied by NMR and CD spectroscopy and by restrained molecular dynamics. At low oligonucleotide concentrations, some of these molecules form stable monomeric structures consisting of a short stem of two base pairs connected by two mini-loops of two residues. To our knowledge, these dumbbell-like structures are the smallest observed to date. The relative stabilities of these cyclic dumbbells have been established by studying their melting transitions. Dumbbells made up purely of GC stems are more stable than those consisting purely of AT base pairs. The order of the base pairs closing the loops also has an important effect on the stabilities of these structures. The NMR data indicate that there are significant differences between the solution structures of dumbbells with G-C base pairs in the stem compared to those with A-T base pairs. In the case of dumbbells with G-C base pairs, the residues in the stem form a short segment of a BDNA helix stabilized by two Watson-Crick base pairs. In contrast, in the case of d, the stem is formed by two A-T base pairs with the glycosidic angles of the adenine bases in a syn conformation, most probably forming Hoogsteen base pairs. Although the conformations of the loop residues are not very well defined, the thymine residues at the first position of the loop are observed to fold back into the minor groove of the stem.  相似文献

A new multipotential pulse technique called differential staircase voltacoulommetry (DSVC) is developed to study charge transfer processes which take place in an electroactive monolayer. We have demonstrated that the faradaic capacitances obtained from DSVC ((ΔQE)-E curves) are identical to those obtained in cyclic voltammetry ((I/v)-E curves) when the pulse amplitude fulfils ΔE ? RT/(nF), independently of the reversibility of the electrode process.DSVC presents the advantage of allowing a simpler and more effective correction of the non-faradaic components of the response than does cyclic voltammetry (CV), even considering that the non-faradaic interfacial capacitance changes with the redox state of the adsorbed species.Moreover, DSVC leads to a peak shaped response which is easily characterisable for reversible processes whereas other multipulse techniques lead to null currents in such a way that it is necessary to use short time pulses in order to transform the response to quasi-reversible, which is much more difficult to analyse and which will present a greater distortion, due to non-faradaic effects.Methods for calculating the surface excess and the thermodynamic and kinetic parameters of the electroactive adsorbates are proposed, experimentally tested and compared with those of CV.  相似文献

Total phenolic content of seven improved common bean cultivars (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) namely, Negro Altiplano, Negro Durango, Negro Sahuatoba, Flor de mayo sol, Flor de Mayo Bajío, Flor de Mayo 94044MX and Bayo Madero were analyzed. Acetone and methanol extracts from bean cotyledons were obtained by successive extractions. Total phenolic content was evaluated following Folin–Ciocalteu method; antioxidant activity by the DPPH technique; antimutagenic potential by the Ames method; and preliminary identification was realized by 2D-TLC. Results indicated high correlation between total phenol content and antioxidant activity for acetone extracts, and also high correlation between antioxidant and antimutagenic activities. In contrast, low correlation coefficients were obtained for methanol extracts. Three cultivars (two Negro cultivars and a Flor de Mayo type) showed lower antimutagenic activity than catechin.  相似文献

采用冷喷涂法在铝(Al)基体上沉积单颗粒铜(Cu),利用聚焦离子束/电子束(FIB/SEM)系统精确定位并原位制备了完整单个颗粒Cu沉积在Al基体上的透射样品,分析其显微结构及形成原因。实验结果表明,撞击过程中温度与应力分布不均匀,导致沉积Cu颗粒不均匀形变。Cu/Al界面受影响较大:颗粒动能转化为形变能和热能,打破了界面处氧化膜,使界面附近温度迅速升高,发生动态再结晶,生成金属间化合物Cu_9Al_4;Cu颗粒内距界面越远的区域,受温度和应力的影响越小,其变形主要是通过晶体内位错增殖和移动;沉积颗粒顶部,远离Cu/Al界面,几乎不受应力和温度影响,保持原始显微结构。  相似文献

The Tinto River (Iberian Pyritic Belt) is a unique ecosystem characterized by extreme acidity and abnormally high concentrations of heavy metals in water, sediments and alluvium, with high microbial diversity and low plant diversity. The low pH value, a direct consequence of the high amount of Fe and S derived from the bedrock, promotes the dispersion of heavy metals. Less mobile elements (Fe, As, Pb, Ag and Ti) show the highest concentrations in the mid stretches of the river while easily mobile metals (Cu, Zn and Cd) accumulate in the estuarine sediments. Tinto River soils show a scarcity of nutrients (Ca, K, P, Mg and Na) due to the lack of lithologic sources and to loss by acid washing. Sea water and phospho-gypsum deposits near Huelva contribute to increase the Na, Mg and P concentrations in the estuarine soils. As a whole these features represent an extreme habitat to which plants must adapt.  相似文献

Fully bio-based and biodegradable active films based on poly(lactic acid) (PLA) blended with poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) and incorporating lactic acid oligomers (OLA) as plasticizers and carvacrol as active agent were extruded and fully characterized in their functional properties for antimicrobial active packaging. PLA_PHB films showed good barrier to water vapor, while the resistance to oxygen diffusion decreased with the addition of OLA and carvacrol. Their overall migration in aqueous food simulant was determined and no significant changes were observed by the addition of carvacrol and OLA to the PLA_PHB formulations. However, the effect of both additives in fatty food simulant can be considered a positive feature for the potential protection of foodstuff with high fat content. Moreover, the antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of the proposed formulations increased by the presence of carvacrol, with enhanced activity against Staphylococcus aureus if compared to Escherichia coli at short and long incubation times. These results underlined the specific antimicrobial properties of these bio-films suggesting their applicability in active food packaging.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a DEA approach aimed at deriving a common set of weights (CSW) to be used to the ranking of decision making units (DMUs). The idea of this approach is to minimize the deviations of the CSW from the DEA profiles of weights without zeros of the efficient DMUs. This minimization reduces in particular the differences between the DEA profiles of weights that are chosen, so the CSW proposed is a representative summary of such DEA weights profiles. We use several norms to the measurement of such differences. As a result, the CSWs derived are actually different summaries of the chosen DEA profiles of weights like their average profile of their median profile. This approach is illustrated with an application to the ranking of professional tennis players.  相似文献
