In this paper, the design of decentralized PID controller for interactive and delay time processes is proposed. Direct controller synthesis approach is used to obtain parameters of the multi-loop controllers. A detuning factor for each loop is specified based on the closed-loop time constant. Then appropriate controller settings are determined using the Maclaurin series expansion and the model of the process. The success of the proposed algorithm is based on the detuning parameter thus the selection of the desired closed-loop time constant is an important factor. The proposed method has no limitations regarding systems weak or strong interactions, multiple delays, and its operating behaviors such as monotonic or oscillatory. The proposed algorithm is simpler and improved performance of various processes are achieved as compared to some of the prevalent techniques. This paper investigates the influence of the position of the antennas in a dual-radio mesh router by characterizing the router components from an electromagnetic point of view. Since the behavior of a wireless router equipped with multiple devices and antennas can be affected by mutual coupling among several close conducting bodies, numerical and experimental tests are carried out to provide some suggestions for an accurate positioning of the antennas. A reference configuration is implemented in an electromagnetic Computer-Aided Design (CAD) simulator. The most significant numerical results are validated by performing a campaign of measurements in anechoic chamber and deploying a testbed for the derivation of the experimental values of throughput, return loss, power density, and directivity. 相似文献

This paper analyses the relationship between productive efficiency and online-social-networks (OSN) in Spanish telecommunications firms. A data-envelopment-analysis (DEA) is used and several indicators of business “social Media” activities are incorporated. A super-efficiency analysis and bootstrapping techniques are performed to increase the model's robustness and accuracy. Then, a logistic regression model is applied to characterise factors and drivers of good performance in OSN. Results reveal the company's ability to absorb and utilise OSNs as a key factor in improving the productive efficiency. Many large retailers decided to adopt RFID as their new supply chain technology, but RFID adoption by all industries did not spread as rapidly as initially expected. We believe that its benefits constituted the major barrier to its adoption, and argued that a major contributor to the delay has been its inappropriate implementation. Our study reports the result of six in-depth case studies, which, together with case content analysis of 88 reported RFID applications, provided us with a clear view of the RFID implementation landscape, suggesting that organizations often mindlessly adopted RFID applications that were misaligned with their supply chain strategies, leading to unsatisfactory benefits. In this paper a shock coupled fourth-order diffusion filter is proposed for image enhancement. This filter converges at a faster rate while preserving and enhancing edges, ramps and textures present in the images. The proposed filter diffuses with varying magnitudes in the directions normal to the level-curve and along it. The magnitude of the directional diffusion is controlled by a diffusion function, meant to provide a good response in the direction along the level-curves, than across them. The proposed filter can still preserve the planar approximation of the image, thereby avoiding the discrepancy caused due to the staircase effect, as in the second-order counterparts. The anisotropic property of the filter is thoroughly studied, analyzed and demonstrated with perspective and quantitative results. The performance of the proposed filter is compared with the state-of-the-art methods for image enhancement. A hardware-based performance comparison of lightweight block ciphers is conducted in this paper. The DESL, DESXL, CURUPIRA-1, CURUPIRA-2, HIGHT, PUFFIN, PRESENT and XTEA block ciphers have been employed in this comparison. Our objective is to survey what ciphers are suitable for security in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and other security applications with demanding area restrictions. A general architecture option has been followed for the implementation of all ciphers. Specifically, a loop architecture has been used, where one basic round is used iteratively. The basic performance metrics are the area, power consumption and hardware resource cost associated with the implementation resulting throughput of each cipher. The most compact cipher is the 80-bit PRESENT block cipher with a count of 1704 GEs and 206.4 Kbps, while the largest in area cipher is the CURUPIRA-1. The CURUPIRA-1 cipher consumes the highest power of 118.1 μW, while the PRESENT cipher consumes the lowest power of 20 μW. All measurements have been taken at a 100 kHz clock frequency. 相似文献
