When conventional methods for treating complicated problems such as acute and chronic renal failure or metabolic diseases fail, the therapy of choice is peritoneal dialysis (PD) in neonatal period. However, in cases that involve technical difficulties, such as bulky lesions in the abdomen or complications from previous abdominal surgeries, it is not always possible to place a peritoneal catheter. In such situations, continuous venovenous hemodiafiltration (CVVHDF) can be effective. This case series presents our experience in 2013 with the administration of CVVHDF to four patients in our neonatal intensive care unit who could not undergo PD for various reasons. 相似文献

The effects of Mg substitution in Bi-2223 superconductor system has been studied for the Bi1.7Pb0.3Sr2Ca2Cu3−x

nominal composition (x=0.00, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15 and 0.20) which was prepared by the conventional solid-state reaction. The properties of these compounds
have been investigated by measuring the electrical resistivity, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and density. Also, scanning electron
microscopy (SEM) was employed to investigate the surface microstructure of the samples. It has been found that the effects
of Mg substitution support the development of both the Bi-2212 and Bi-2223 phases. These measurements and analyses enable
us to discuss the effects of Mg dopant on superconducting properties. We found that onset critical temperatures (T
c, onset) decrease with addition x>0.10 in resistivity measurements. The presence of Mg influenced the microstructure of the samples and decreased the mean

Procreation of the C1 continuous displacement FE efficient vibration model, which can be attained by exploiting the unparalleled conciseness and cost-objectiveness of a computer automated exact analytical integrator, is considered. The proposed Kirchhoff-conforming, rectangular four dof/node plate FE vibration simulator is demonstrated to achieve high accuracy with low CPU expenditure in a straightforward and systematic framework without calling for any ad hoc mechanisms. Due to idiosyncrasies of the formulation, the code has the potential for providing high-speed computational power to aid accurate and reliable identification of a wide spectrum of vibration modes that faithfully captures the physical behavior of thin plates, frequently encountered in real-life engineering applications. 相似文献

Seasonal changes in heavy metal (Ag, Cr, Ni, Pb, Cu, Fe, Zn) concentrations in muscle, gill, hepatopancreas and gonad tissues of both male and female green tiger shrimp (Penaeus semisulcatus) from Iskenderun Bay (Northern East Mediterranean Sea, Turkey) were measured for a year period by using ICP-AES. The relationships in various heavy metal concentrations in organs were compared according to sex and seasons. Heavy metal content varied with type of metals, seasons and sex. Accumulations also differed significantly in certain organs. Metal concentrations (as μg g−1 w.w.) were highest in male gonads whereas lowest in the muscle of all shrimp species. From the human consumption point of view, heavy metal concentrations except for copper in male and female green tiger shrimp’s muscle were below the admissible limits. Thus, precautions should be taken on account of higher content of heavy metals as well as in other organs that could be affected by industrial pollution. 相似文献

This study aimed to identify degradation intermediates and to investigate the stoichiometry of decolorization and degradation, decolorization kinetics, and removal of antibacterial activity of malachite green (MG) using ozonization processes. The decolorization of MG was optimal at an acidic pH value of 3 based on molecular ozone attack on MG molecules. The stoichiometric ratio of decolorization between ozone and MG was calculated to be 7.0 with a regression coefficient of 0.995, whereas the ratio for degradation was calculated as 13.1 with a regression coefficient of 0.998. With MG concentrations in the range of 0.30-1.82 mM, the concentration of decolorized MG increased with higher initial concentrations of MG, whereas the ozonolytic decolorization rates of MG, decreased with increasing initial concentration. The pseudo-first-order degradation rate constants (k') decreased with the initial concentration and ranged from 0.769 to 0.223 min(-1). Twelve different intermediates were produced during the ozonation of MG with ozonation times between 5 min and 30 min and were identified by GC-MS. Although 86% of MG in the reaction mixture was removed by ozonation after 10 min, the decrease of antibacterial activity was very low (10%) for Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus epidermidis because the degradation intermediates, phenol and benzoic acid, also have antibacterial activity. The antibacterial activity of both MG and its intermediates were removed successfully with ozonation times above 26 min. 相似文献

In this study, we used ARIMA, seasonal ARIMA (SARIMA) and alternatively the regression model with seasonal latent variable in forecasting electricity demand by using data that belongs to “Kayseri and Vicinity Electricity Joint-Stock Company” over the 1997:1–2005:12 periods. This study tries to examine the advantages of forecasting with ARIMA, SARIMA methods and with the model has seasonal latent variable to each other. The results support that ARIMA and SARIMA models are unsuccessful in forecasting electricity demand. The regression model with seasonal latent variable used in this study gives more successful results than ARIMA and SARIMA models because also this model can consider seasonal fluctuations and structural breaks. 相似文献

Biofilm formation by 30 Staphylococcus aureus dairy isolates and their control by phytochemicals were investigated. The majority of strains were biofilm positive by phenotypic analysis. The nuc and icaA genes were present in 30 and 27 strains, respectively. In addition, 13 strains were positive for all nuc, clfA, fnbA and icaA genes. The antimicrobial and antibiofilm activities of citral, cinnamaldehyde, eugenol, farnesol, limonene and terpinen‐4‐ol were also evaluated for seven strains. It was shown that the use of farnesol, cinnamaldehyde or terpinen‐4‐ol at a concentration of 2 mg/mL could be at least 80% effective on S. aureus strains and their biofilms. 相似文献

The introduction of naturally occurring fibrillary structured halloysite clays (HNTs) into the Nafion matrix resulted in an enhanced proton conductivity and a reduced activation energy for proton transport. To assess the effect of the various states of the HNTs as a membrane additive, the σH+ of the composite membranes (Nafion/HNTs, Nafion/HNTs-NH2, Nafion/HNTs-SO3H) was measured at 30 °C and 80 °C and at different levels of relative humidity (%RH). An overall improvement of the σH+ of the Nafion was observed in the presence of the nanotubular additives (HNTs or HNTs-NH2) which can be attributed to the high specific surface area accommodating hydrophilic functional groups and therefore contributing to the water retention/management in the composite membrane. However, the Nafion/HNT-SO3H composites are distinguished in terms of enhanced performance in σH+ which persist in the whole range of % RH levels and noted that the σH+ values are almost 2 times higher than native Nafion in the low humidity region (30%–50%) and at 80 °C. In agreement with the σH+ enhancement, the activation energy is lower than that of native Nafion indicating that the proton transport is facilitated in the presence of -SO3H modified HNTs, probably due to an improved connectivity and arrangement of ionic conducting domains. 相似文献
