“Castelo Branco” cheese is a Portuguese DOP cheese made from raw ewe’s milk coagulated with Cynara cardunculus, ripened for at least 40 days. “Merino da Beira Baixa” pure race is frequently used to produce milk for this cheese, however, exotic races such as Assaf and crusade of these two races are also used. The aim of this work has been to compare the volatile profile and sensory characteristics of DOP “Castelo Branco” cheeses manufactured during winter season with milk of breeds from Merino, Assaf and crusade of these two races and identify volatile compounds that can distinguish these cheeses. 相似文献

Mesoporous amorphous silica-aluminas were synthesised with standard aluminium and silicon sources by means of the formation of inorganic–organic composites with the addition of chitosan biopolymer, and compared to analogous catalysts synthesised conventionally. Some catalysts were subjected to hydrothermal treatment. The resulting specific surface areas were from 480 to 573 m2/g in the untreated samples and 300–430 m2/g in the hydrotreated catalysts, average pore sizes ranging from 32 to 100 Å with sharp, unimodal distributions. The chitosan materials showed higher specific surface areas and larger pore sizes than those of their non-chitosan counterparts. The most important differences in the acidic properties were in the relationships between tetrahedral and octahedral aluminium atoms, the chitosan materials having higher relative amounts of tetrahedral aluminium than the conventional silica-aluminas. Evidences of stabilization in the physical and chemical properties were observed in the chitosan-containing catalysts. The catalytic performance was evaluated with the conversion of tri-isopropylbenzene at 400 °C, to assess activity and accessibility, and cyclohexene at 300 °C, to assess hydrogen transfer properties. The highest activity and accessibility was observed in the hydrotreated, chitosan-containing catalyst, while hydrogen transfer capabilities were similar to those of medium unit cell sizes, equilibrium commercial FCC catalysts. 相似文献

The desorption isotherms and thermodynamic properties of cocoa beans were obtained during the drying process of this product. The isotherms were determined by dynamic method for various temperature (25, 35, 45 and 55 °C) and relative humidity (RH) conditions (30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80%). Equilibrium moisture content data were correlated by the Guggenheim–Anderson–de Boer (GAB) model, which presented good fit to the data, according to statistical procedures. Equilibrium moisture content ranged from 5.90 to 16.67 d.b.; it increased with an increment in the RH and decreased with increased temperature at a constant RH. Enthalpy values for each model coefficient were encountered, ranging from ?90.05 to 545.96 kJ kg?1. The integral isosteric heat of desorption and differential entropy increased with decreased equilibrium moisture content, a tendency also found for Gibbs free energy. 相似文献

The ISO 9001 standard is considered as an effective tool to support a quality management system (QMS). A steady growth in the number of ISO 9001 issued certificates is observed worldwide, confirming the interest of companies in this approach. However, information regarding this behaviour over time in the American Continent is scarce. This paper presents a set of qualitative and quantitative analyses related to the ISO 9001 certification (globally and at the country level of the Americas), the use of this standard in countries that were part of the ISO Survey 2011 and modelling the ISO 9001 certification for American countries, in order to characterise through mathematical models, the evolution of the certification process and to identify factors that influence the ISO 9001 issued certificates in the various countries analysed. Based on the work developed, a positive relationship was found between the number of issued certificates in each country per 1000 inhabitants and the indicators of economic development (Gross National Income Per Capita). It is determined that the total reserves of a country is an economic variable that directly affects the number of issued certificates, a finding not observed in other forecasting models. 相似文献

The evaluation of the effects of sugars, metals, acids and other antioxidants on the in vitro antioxidant capacity of purified anthocyanin extract by different techniques was the purpose of this study. Three methods and the ways of expressing their results were evaluated: ABTSTEAC (capacity equivalent to Trolox, by ABTS (2,2′‐azino‐bis(3‐ethylbenzothiazoline‐6‐sulphonic acid))), DPPHTEAC (capacity equivalent to Trolox, by DPPH (2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl)), DPPHEC50 (50% reduction in the radical, by DPPH), DPPH%Sca (reduction in the scavenging capacity, by DPPH), FRAPTEAC (capacity equivalent to Trolox, by FRAP (reduction power of iron)) and FRAPEC50 (50% reduction in the radical, by FRAP). The way of expressing DPPH and FRAP results as EC50 showed the greater interfering extent, mainly when the medium contained tartaric and ascorbic acids. The most coherent method was ABTSTEAC in which only ascorbic acid interfered. Ascorbic acid was shown to interfere in all methods; thus, it must be removed prior to determining the in vitro antioxidant capacity of anthocyanins in food materials. 相似文献

The latex obtained from Hancornia speciosa is used in folk medicine for treatment of several diseases, such as acne, warts, diabetes, gastritis and inflammation. In this work, we describe the biocompatibility assessment and angiogenic properties of H. speciosa latex and its potential application in medicine. The physical–chemical characterization was carried out following different methodologies (CHN elemental analyses; thermogravimetric analyses and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy). The biocompatibility was evaluated through cytotoxicity and genotoxicity tests in fibroblast mouse cells and the angiogenic properties were evaluated using the chick chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) assay model. The physical–chemical results showed that the structure of Hancornia speciosa latex biomembrane is very similar to that of Hevea brasiliensis (commercially available product). Moreover, the cytotoxicity and genotoxicity assays showed that H. speciosa latex is biocompatible with life systems and can be a good biomaterial for medical applications. The CAM test showed the efficient ability of H. speciosa latex in neovascularization of tissues. The histological analysis was in accordance with the results obtained in the CAM assay. Our data indicate that the latex obtained from H. speciosa and eluted in water showed significant angiogenic activity without any cytotoxic or genotoxic effects on life systems. The same did not occur with H. speciosa latex stabilized with ammonia. Addition of ammonia does not have significant effects on the structure of biomembranes, but showed a smaller cell survival and a significant genotoxicity effect. This study contributes to the understanding of the potentialities of H. speciosa latex as a source of new phytomedicines. 相似文献

In recent years, several papers on machining processes have focused on the use of artificial neural networks for modeling surface roughness. Even in such a specific niche of engineering literature, the papers differ considerably in terms of how they define network architectures and validate results, as well as in their training algorithms, error measures, and the like. Furthermore, a perusal of the individual papers leaves a researcher without a clear, sweeping view of what the field’s cutting edge is. Hence, this work reviews a number of these papers, providing a summary and analysis of the findings. Based on recommendations made by scholars of neurocomputing and statistics, the review includes a set of comparison criteria as well as assesses how the research findings were validated. This work also identifies trends in the literature and highlights their main differences. Ultimately, this work points to underexplored issues for future research and shows ways to improve how the results are validated. 相似文献

Simulation of metal forming processes using the Finite Element Method (FEM) is a well established procedure, being nowadays possible to develop alternative approaches, such as inverse methodologies, in solving complex problems. In the present paper, two types of inverse approaches will be discussed, namely the parameter identification and the shape optimization problems. The aim of the former is to evaluate the input parameters for material constitutive models that would lead to the most accurate set of results respecting physical experiments. The second category involves determining the initial geometry of a given specimen leading to a desired final geometry after the forming process. The purpose of the present work is then to formulate these inverse problems as optimization problems, introducing a straightforward methodology of process optimization in engineering applications such as metal forming and structural analysis. To reach this goal, an integrated optimization approach, using a finite element code together with a numerical optimization program, was employed. A gradient-based optimization method, as a combination of the steepest-descent method and the Levenberg-Marquardt techniques, was used. Numerical applications in the parameter optimization category include, namely, the characterization of a non-linear elasto-plastic hardening model and the determination of the parameters for a nonlinear hyperelastic model. It is also discussed the simultaneous identification of both constitutive material model parameters and the friction coefficient parameters. From the point of view of shape optimization problems, the determination of the initial geometry of a specimen in a upsetting billing problem as well as a methodology for defining the most suited blank shape to be formed in a square cup, are discussed. The final results for both categories show that this kind of algorithms have great potential for future developments in more demanding and realistic benchmarks. It is also worth noting that the presented integrated methodology can be easily applied to a first introduction of optimization techniques and numerical simulation to undergraduate courses in engineering. 相似文献

Separation of concerns is a well-established principle in software engineering that supports reuse by hiding complexity through abstraction mechanisms. The Abstract Design Views model was created with reuse in mind and allows the designer to apply separation of concerns in a software system from the design to the implementation. In this model, viewed objects represent the basic concern, i.e., the algorithms that provide the essential functionality relevant to an application domain, and viewer objects represent the special concerns related to other software issues, such as user interface presentation, synchronization, and timing. In this paper we use a reuse taxonomy to analyze and validate this model. Using this analysis and the properties of the relationship between viewer and viewed objects, called views, we also indicate how to map the views-based designs into implementations based on design patterns that satisfy the views properties. Finally, we show how to apply the principles of our approach, using views and the design patterns, to design e-commerce applications. 相似文献
