A series of sequential interpenetrating polymer network (IPNs) based on styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) and polyalkyl (methyl, ethyl, and butyl) methacrylates have been prepared by using tetraethylene glycol dimethacrylate as crosslinker. The IPNs were characterized by infrared spectrophotometer, dynamic mechanical analyzer, thermogravimetric analyzer, and swelling study. IPNs have exhibited higher tensile properties compared with pure SBR. IPNs based on PMMA have shown higher tensile strength compared with others. Dynamic mechanical analysis has shown that the IPNs have superior dynamic properties than SBR. Because of IPN formation, tan δ peak shifted inward between SBR and acrylates. Although the magnitude of tan δ decreased, the peaks were broadened because of micro heterogeneous phase separation. Epoxy resin was chemically modified with carboxyl‐terminated poly(ethylene glycol) adipate (CTPEGA) and the modified epoxy networks were made by curing with an ambient‐temperature hardener. The modified epoxy networks containing various concentrations of CTPEGA were characterized for their tensile, flexural and impact properties. It was observed that the mechanical strength gradually decreases and the strain increases with increasing CTPEGA concentration. However, the toughness and impact strength gradually increase with increasing CTPEGA concentration, attain a maximum and then decrease. The optimum CTPEGA concentration was found to be 20 phr. OCR Prediction Using Support Vector Machine Based on Piezocone Data   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
The determination of the overconsolidation ratio (OCR) of clay deposits is an important task in geotechnical engineering practice. This paper examines the potential of a support vector machine (SVM) for predicting the OCR of clays from piezocone penetration test data. SVM is a statistical learning theory based on a structural risk minimization principle that minimizes both error and weight terms. The five input variables used for the SVM model for prediction of OCR are the corrected cone resistance (qt), vertical total stress (σv), hydrostatic pore pressure (u0), pore pressure at the cone tip (u1), and the pore pressure just above the cone base (u2). Sensitivity analysis has been performed to investigate the relative importance of each of the input parameters. From the sensitivity analysis, it is clear that qt=primary in situ data influenced by OCR followed by σv, u0, u2, and u1. Comparison between SVM and some of the traditional interpretation methods is also presented. The results of this study have shown that the SVM approach has the potential to be a practical tool for determination of OCR.  相似文献

The importance of thesupport functionin representation, manipulation, and analysis of convex bodies can indeed be compared with that of the Fourier transform in signal processing. The support function, in intuitive terms, is the signed distance of a supporting plane of a convex body from the origin point. In this paper we show that, just as simple multiplication in the Fourier transform domain turns out to be the convolution of two signals, similarly simple algebraic operations on support functions result in a variety of geometric operations on the corresponding geometric objects. In fact, since the support function is areal-valuedfunction, these simple algebraic operations are nothing but arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, reciprocal, and max–min, which give rise to geometric operations such as Minkowski addition (dilation), Minkowski decomposition (erosion), polar duality, and union–intersection. Furthermore, it has been shown in this paper that a number of representation schemes (such as the Legendre transformation, the extended Gaussian image, slope diagram representation, the normal transform, and slope transforms), which appear to be very disparate at first sight, belong to the same class of the support function representation. Finally, we indicate some algebraic manipulations of support functions that lead to new and unsuspected geometric operations. Support function like representations for nonconvex objects are also indicated.  相似文献

This article investigates the feasibility of multivariate adaptive regression spline (MARS) and least squares support vector machine (LSSVM) for the prediction of over consolidation ratio (OCR) of clay deposits based on Piezocone Penetration Tests (PCPT) data. MARS uses piece-wise linear segments to describe the non-linear relationships between input and output variables. LSSVM is firmly based on the theory of statistical learning, and uses regression technique. The input parameters of the models are corrected cone resistance (q t ), vertical total stress (σv), hydrostatic pore pressure (u 0), pore pressure at the cone tip (u 1), and the pore pressure just above the cone base (u 2). The developed LSSVM model gives error bar of predicted OCR. Equations have also been developed for prediction of OCR. The performance of MARS and LSSVM models has been compared with the traditional methods for OCR prediction. As the results reveal, the proposed MARS and LSSVM models are robust models for determination of OCR.  相似文献

Acryloyl based novel energetic monomers having nitro acrylates and nitro triazole acrylates were synthesized and further used for polymerization. Due to scavanging properties of nitro groups, syntheses of nitro aromatic polymers are not facile at normal conditions. In this regard, we report a simple protocol to synthesize these energetic group embeded acroloyl polymers. These polymers were characterized by FTIR, and NMR spectroscopic techniques. gel permeation chromatography (GPC) technique was employed in order to understand molecular mass of these polymers along with average molecular weight, number average weight and poly dispersity index. Glass transition temperature (Tg) was determined by using DSC analysis. It was observed that with increase in nitro groups in polymers there is a decrease in glass transition temperature. Two steps degradation were depicted in the TGA thermograph in nitro containing polymers. Heat release during this reaction was found up to 951 J/g. Increase in nitrogen content in polymer unit enhanced the heat release of polymers.  相似文献

Film forming organo-copper polymer was synthesized from diethanol amine. The organo-copper polymer (copper salt of polyester amide) contains long chain amide in the side group. The intermediates and the final products were characterized for chemical structure, molecular weight, copper content, curing and thermal properties of cured resin. Organo-copper polymer was used as soluble resin to formulate a coating. Mechanical strength and leaching behavior of the coating were studied. Single layer and multilayer polymer thin film coating on polymer substrate are gaining significant importance in different industries. The quantitative and qualitative estimation of interface response for thin film coating under different service conditions is significantly important from the perspective of modeling and designing novel materials. However, to characterize an interface between the soft polymer layer and soft polymer substrate is challenging because of the confinement effect, surface roughness, the viscoelastic nature of the polymers involved, and most importantly, the comparable mechanical properties of soft polymeric film and polymer substrate. Nanoindentation technique was applied in this work to find out the mechanical response of thin film PMMA (100–200 nm) and Epoxy interfaces of different interfacial strengths. Interfaces of different strengths were obtained by exposing the film‐substrate system to different service conditions. It has been observed from this study that pile‐up plays a major role in finding out the mechanical response of the interfaces of different strengths. A collaborative filtering-based recommendation system has been an integral part of e-commerce and e-servicing. To keep the recommendation systems reliable, authentic, and superior, the security of these systems is very crucial. Though the existing shilling attack detection methods in collaborative filtering are able to detect the standard attacks, in this paper, we prove that they fail to detect a new or unknown attack. We develop a new attack model, named Obscure attack, with unknown features and observed that it has been successful in biasing the overall top-N list of the target users as intended. The Obscure attack is able to push target items to the top-N list as well as remove the actual rated items from the list. Our proposed attack is more effective at a smaller number of k in top-k similar user as compared to other existing attacks. The effectivity of the proposed attack model is tested on the MovieLens dataset, where various classifiers like SVM, J48, random forest, and naïve Bayes are utilized.  相似文献
