Freshwater lakes store water for human use and agricultural irrigation and provide habitats for aquatic fauna and flora. However, a number of these lakes have been degraded by human activities at a rapid rate. Here, we used historical land cover information and remotely sensed data to explore a 7-decade (between 1930s and 1998) shrinkage and fragmentation of Dongting Lake, the second largest freshwater lake in China, located in the drainage basin of Central Yangtze River. The water surface area of Dongting Lake decreased by 49.2%, from 4955 km2 in the 1930s to 2518 km2 in 1998, with an average decrease rate of 38.1 km2/yr in the past 7 decades. The lake was also fragmented, as indicated by a decreasing mean patch size from 4.2 km2 in the 1930s to 1.7 km2 in 1998. The degradation of the lake is largely attributed to a rapidly growing human population in the lake region that led to extensive impoldering. The degradation of the lake has resulted in negative ecological consequences, such as frequent flooding, a decline of biodiversity, and extinction of some endemic species. Our results also suggest that lake restoration projects implemented in this region since the end of the 1990s will help to decrease the lake degradation. 相似文献

Uranium may present in soil as precipitated, sorbed, complexed, and reduced forms, which impact its mobility and fate in the subsurface soil environment. In this study, a uranium-contaminated soil was extracted with carbonate/ bicarbonate at varying concentrations (0-1 M), pHs, and redox conditions in an attempt to evaluate their effects on the extraction efficiency and selectivity for various forms of uranium in the soil. Results indicate that at least three differentforms of uranium existed in the contaminated soil: uranium(VI) phosphate minerals, reduced U(IV) phases, and U(VI) complexed with soil organic matter. A small fraction of U(VI) could be sorbed onto soil minerals. The mechanism involved in the leaching of U(VI) by carbonates appears to involve three processes which may act concurrently or independently: the dissolution of uranium(VI) phosphate and other mineral phases, the oxidation-complexation of U(IV) under oxic conditions, and the desorption of U(VI)-organic matter complexes at elevated pH conditions. This study suggests that, depending on site-specific geochemical conditions, the presence of small quantities of carbonate/bicarbonate could result in a rapid and greatly increased leaching and the mobilization of U(VI) from the contaminated soil. BACKGROUND: Faba bean is one of the important legumes in Asian countries. It is also a major source of micronutrients in many rural areas. Unfortunately, the bioavailability of iron from faba bean is low because it is present as an insoluble complex with food components such as phytic acid. The influence of soaking, germination and fermentation with the expectation of increasing the bioavailability of iron was investigated. RESULTS: Fermentation treatments were most effective in decreasing phytic acid (48–84%), followed by soaking at 10 °C after preheating (36–51%). Steeping faba beans for 24 h at 25 °C had the least effect on the removal of phytic acid (9–24%). With increased germination time at 30 °C, phytic acid progressively decreased from 9 to 69%. Most wet processing procedures, except soaking after wet preheating, caused losses of dry matter and iron (8–15%). In vitro iron solubility, as a percentage of total iron in soaked faba bean after dry preheating, was significantly higher than in raw faba bean (P < 0.05). Fermentation and germination did not have significant effects on the solubility of iron. CONCLUSION: The expected improvement of iron bioavailability levels due to lower phytic acid was not confirmed by increasing levels of in vitro soluble iron. Soaking, germination and fermentation can decrease phytic acid in faba bean. However, results from in vitro solubility measurement of iron showed little improvement of iron bioavailability in fermented and germinated faba beans over untreated raw faba beans (P < 0.05). It seems that componets of dietary fibre other than phytic acid are more important in binding iron. Influence of sugars on the characteristics of glucono-δ-lactone-induced soy protein isolate gels 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The effects of the reducing sugars (glucose and lactose) and the non-reducing sugar (sucrose), heated in combination with soy protein isolate (SPI) at neutral pH, on the physicochemical and rheological properties of SPI were determined. After formation of gels induced by glucono-δ-lactone (GDL), the textural profile and physicochemical bonds of the non-heated and heated SPI gels were investigated. The gelation of SPI was induced in three stages of processing that is similar to some tofu-making procedures. First, SPI was heated in the presence of sugars at neutral pH above the denaturation temperature of SPI; then gelation was induced by GDL at iso-electric pH and finally the acidic gels were heat treated again. Heat treatment with glucose at neutral pH resulted in SPI with higher glycation degree than with lactose, whereas SPI heat treated in the presence of sucrose was not glycated. GDL-induced gels of SPI glycated with glucose was more soluble in water than gels of SPI reacted with lactose, which in turn was more soluble than the control and gels of SPI heated in the presence of sucrose. This indicates a change in the net charge of proteins caused by the glycation reaction. Glucose and lactose had a protective effect on protein denaturation at neutral pH, albeit less than sucrose, resulting in GDL-induced gels with increased water holding capacity and reduced gel hardness than sucrose. Chemical analysis indicated that disulphide bonds were involved in maintaining the structure of the gels, and solubility profiles of gels in different buffers indicate that other types of covalent bonds besides disulphide bonds were formed in gels of glycated SPI, resulting in reduced gel elasticity. 相似文献

提出了一种使用具有方向偏向性搜索模板和基于预测模式自适应选择运动估计方案的EPZS(enhanced predictive zonal search)改进算法。该算法将运动估计过程与H.264/AVC中多参考帧、多预测模式等编码工具紧密结合,充分利用视频中运动具有高度时空相关性的特点,综合考虑速度、图像质量及压缩效率等方面的性能。实验结果表明,该算法以极小的计算量得到了与全搜索方法接近的效果;与EPZS算法相比,运动估计的处理速度有了较大幅度的提高,同时保持了与之相当、有时甚至更优的率失真性能。此外,该算法具有很好的鲁棒性,并且能够产生平滑的运动矢量场。 相似文献

研究了Ti-600合金在3种温度(550、600、650℃)、5种应力(150、200、250、300、350 MPa)下的蠕变性能,并分析了硅化物对合金蠕变性能的影响。研究结果表明,Ti-600合金具有较小的稳态蠕变速率及较大的蠕变激活能,反映出该合金具有较好的蠕变抗力。当温度升高、应力增大时,Ti-600合金的稳态蠕变速率增大。600℃下,当蠕变应力高达350 MPa时,Ti-600合金的稳态蠕变速率低至3.72×10-7s-1。Ti-600合金的蠕变激活能最高可达574.6kJ·mol-1,最低为332.7 kJ·mol-1。在蠕变过程中,Ti-600合金内析出了S2型(TiZr)6Si3硅化物,能够钉扎位错、阻碍位错滑移,提高合金的蠕变抗力。 相似文献

针对某航天发射场整流罩空调机组经常出现前级蒸发器结霜和送风温湿度波动问题,进行问题机理分析,结合新风与表冷后目标露点的焓值差提出了一种基于冷量阈值的压缩机PID控制方法;该方法首先根据新风和目标露点的焓值差计算出处理空气所需的实际冷量,然后将该冷量作为基于露点PID控制压缩机输出的上限值;冷量阈值的使用一方面使PID控制一直保持欠调节状态,避免了压缩机投入比的上下跳变而导致送风温湿度波动的问题;另一方面有效解决了压缩机投入冷量过多而导致的蒸发器结霜问题;实践证明,优化后的空调机组运行稳定可靠,温湿度控制精度得到有效提升,分别达到了±0.5 ℃和±3%,满足航天器产品保障需求。 相似文献
