The local solid flow structure of the bubbling fluidized bed of sand particles was investigated in order to identify and characterize the clusters. Extensive experiments were carried out using an optical fibre probe, measuring the velocity and the diameter of clusters. Under all operating conditions, ascending and descending clusters co‐existed at all measurement locations. The locus of the inversion point at which the directions of cluster motion changed was determined. The velocity of the ascending clusters was a function of both superficial gas velocity and the radial and axial position. With increasing superficial gas velocity, both the velocity and the diameter of ascending clusters decreased near the wall. However, the velocity of descending clusters depended mainly on superficial gas velocity and the largest clusters existed closer to the wall. The results of this study help to explain cluster hydrodynamics in fluidized beds.  相似文献

Fluidization quality of beds containing alumina and iron oxide nanoparticles in the Agglomerate Bubbling Fluidization (ABF) was improved by applying a combination of vibration and magnetic field. Pressure fluctuations were measured and analyzed by Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), Recurrence Plot (RP) and Recurrence Quantitative Analysis (RQA). Results of FFT showed that the wall vibration creates a periodic signal at 100?Hz which is not originated from the bed hydrodynamics. RP of pressure fluctuations before and after applying the assisting forces showed that the white areas in the plot decrease in size, which indicates an increase in the contribution of meso-structures such as agglomerates and small bubbles. The transition in the equilibrium bed hydrodynamics, between the condition in which assisting forces are not applied and condition in which they are applied, was tracked. It was shown by the determinism of pressure fluctuations that when the iron oxide nanoparticles exist alongside with alumina nanoparticles, this transition to the new equilibrium condition was reached in a shorter time. Determinism of pressure fluctuation of beds containing iron oxide decreased after applying the assisting forces. This trend confirms that large bubbles start to disappear and become substituted by smaller structures when magnetic field is applied to the bed. Under this condition, the interphase contact efficiency increases and the bed becomes closer to the Agglomerate Particle Fluidization (APF) regime.  相似文献

Tele-medical information system provides an efficient and convenient way to connect patients at home with medical personnel in clinical centers. In this system, service providers consider user authentication as a critical requirement. To address this crucial requirement, various types of validation and key agreement protocols have been employed. The main problem with the two-way authentication of patients and medical servers is not built with thorough and comprehensive analysis that makes the protocol design yet has flaws. This paper analyzes carefully all aspects of security requirements including the perfect forward secrecy in order to develop an efficient and robust lightweight authentication and key agreement protocol. The secureness of the proposed protocol undergoes an informal analysis, whose findings show that different security features are provided, including perfect forward secrecy and a resistance to DoS attacks. Furthermore, it is simulated and formally analyzed using Scyther tool. Simulation results indicate the protocol’s robustness, both in perfect forward security and against various attacks. In addition, the proposed protocol was compared with those of other related protocols in term of time complexity and communication cost. The time complexity of the proposed protocol only involves time of performing a hash function Th, i.e.,: O(12Th). Average time required for executing the authentication is 0.006 seconds; with number of bit exchange is 704, both values are the lowest among the other protocols. The results of the comparison point to a superior performance by the proposed protocol.  相似文献

The human sensory test is often used for obtaining the sensory quantities of odors, however, the fluctuation of results due to the expert's condition can cause discrepancies among panelists. Authors have studied the artificial odor discrimination system using a quartz resonator sensor and a back-propagation neural network as the recognition system, however, the unknown category of odor is always recognized as the known category of odor. In this paper, a kind of fuzzy algorithm for learning vector quantization (LVQ) is developed and used as a pattern classifier. In this type of fuzzy LVQ, the neuron activation is derived through fuzziness of the input data, so that the neural system could deal with the statistics of the measurement error directly. During learning, the similarity between the training vector and the reference vectors are calculated, and the winning reference vector is updated by shifting the central position of the fuzzy reference vector toward or away from the input vector, and by modifying its fuzziness. Two types of fuzziness modifications are used, i.e., a constant modification factor and a variable modification factor. This type of fuzzy-neuro (FN) LVQ is different in nature from fuzzy algorithm (FA) LVQ, and in this paper, the performance of FNLVQ network is compared with that of FALVQ in an artificial odor recognition system. Experimental results show that both FALVQ and FNLVQ could provide high recognition probability in determining various known categories of odors, however, the FNLVQ neural system has the ability to recognize the unknown category of odor that could not be recognized by the FALVQ neural system.  相似文献

The microstructural, in vitro and in vivo properties of the microwave‐synthesized samples were investigated using the optical microscope, scanning electron microscope, X‐ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimeter, contact angle goniometer, cell cytotoxicity assay, and chick chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) model in the study. When the calcium sulfate dihydrate (CSD) precursor underwent microwave irradiation treatment at temperatures between 100°C and 160°C, the crystal morphologies and crystalline structures were transformed from (tablet‐like CSD (monoclinic)) → (tablet‐like CSD (monoclinic) + long column α‐calcium sulfate hemihydrate (α‐CSH, hexagonal)) → (long column CSD (monoclinic) + short column α‐CSH (hexagonal)) → (uniform short column α‐CSH (hexagonal)). The high‐purity α‐CSH with uniform short column crystals around 10 μm in length can be synthesized at 160°C for 10 minutes and exhibits a higher hydrophilic feature in blood. Moreover, the cell cytotoxicity assay indicated that the microwave‐synthesized samples possessed well biocompatibility. In vivo results also demonstrated that the microwave‐synthesized α‐CSH not only induces angiogenesis formation but also facilitates osteogenesis. Therefore, the microwave‐synthesized α‐CSH is a promising bone graft substitute that can be applied in dental and orthopedic fields.  相似文献

Mangifera pajang (family: Anacardiaceae; local name: bambangan) and Artocarpus odoratissimus (familiy: Moraceae; local name: tarap) are popular edible fruits in Sabah, Malaysia. The flesh, kernel and peel from M. pajang; seed and flesh from A. odoratissimus were analysed for total antioxidant activity, total polyphenol, total flavonoid and total anthocyanins contents. M. pajang kernel extract displayed the highest free radical scavenging and ferric reducing activities. Total phenolic content of the samples were in the range of 5.96–103.3 mg gallic acid equivalent/g. M. pajang kernel and M. pajang flesh contained the highest and lowest total flavonoid content with the values of 10.98 and 0.07 mg rutin equivalent/g, respectively. The antioxidant activities of extracts were significantly correlated with the total phenolic and flavonoid content (but not the anthocyanins content). The phytochemicals and antioxidant properties of M. pajang and A. odoratissimus, especially their by-products (kernel/seed), indicate that they may impart health benefits when consumed and should be regarded as a valuable source of antioxidant-rich nutraceuticals.  相似文献
