In this paper, we describe a procedure for the processing of SiC-whisker-reinforced MoSi2 composites via tape casting. Based on the characteristics of SiC whiskers and MoSi2 powder in aqueous and nonaqueous solvents, a slip formulation (solvent, dispersant, binder, etc.) has been developed. The formulation developed allows for a uniform distribution of SiC whiskers in the matrix, easy separation of the tapes from the polymeric carrier, convenient control of both tape thickness and orientation of SiC whiskers, and a low binder burnout temperature. The latter is important for the prevention of the oxidation of MoSi2 powder during the binder burnout in an oxidizing atmosphere. 相似文献
This paper is concerned with the tracking control problem of robotic systems perturbed by time-varying parameters, unmodelled dynamics and external force (and moment) disturbances. The upper bound of system uncertainties and disturbances is not required for controller design. Also, no limitations are assumed on the speed of variation and the magnitude of unknown parameters and perturbations. An adaptive algorithm with simplicity and universality properties is proposed to ensure robust tracking. Presenting the closed loop stability proof analytically, the tracking controller is applied to a two-link robot manipulator and the simulation results are demonstrated to show the effectiveness of the method. 相似文献
This paper investigates the state feedback stabilization problem for a class of positive switched systems with time-varying delays under asynchronous switching in the frameworks of continuous-time and discrete-time dynamics. The so-called asynchronous switching means that the switches between the candidate controllers and system modes are asynchronous. By constructing an appropriate co-positive type Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and further allowing the functional to increase during the running time of active subsystems, sufficient conditions are provided to guarantee the exponential stability of the resulting closed-loop systems, and the corresponding controller gain matrices and admissible switching signals are presented. The statistical selectivity models were developed for four different Fischer–Tropsch synthesis product range, including methane (CH4), light olefins (C2=C4), light paraffins (C2–C4), and long-chain hydrocarbons (C5+), based on the experimental data obtained over thirteen γ-Al2O3 supported cobalt-based catalysts with different cobalt particle and pore sizes. The input variables consist of cobalt metal particle size and catalyst pore size. The cubic and quadratic polynomial equations were fitted to the experimental data, however, the mathematical models were subjected to model reduction for the enhancement of model adequacy, which was investigated through ANOVA. The multi-objective optimization revealed that the maximum C5+?selectivity (84.150%) could be achieved at the cobalt particle size and pore sizes of 14.764 and 23.129 nm, respectively, while keeping the selectivity to other hydrocarbon products minimum.
One of the biggest challenges in water quality monitoring is how to optimize big Data gathered from a wide range of resources. This paper presented a new software-based pathway of process mining approach for extending a flexible WQI (Water Quality Index) that would deal with uncertainties derived from missing data occurrence in short- and long-term assessments. The methodology is based on integration of four multi-criteria group decision-making models coupled with fuzzy simulation including AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process), fuzzy OWA (Ordered Weighting Average), TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution), and fuzzy TOPSIS that were used for data mining and group consensus evaluation.. Examining the methodology on groundwater resources being supplied for drinking in Shiraz, Iran showed high integrity, accuracy, and proximity-to-real interpretation of water quality. This was the first study where decision-making risks such as Decision Makers’ risk-prone or risk-aversion attitudes (optimistic degree), DMs’ power, and consensus degree of each water quality parameter have been considered in WQI research. The proposed index offered a flexible choice in defining the intended project duration, stakeholders’ judgments, types of water use and water resource, standards, as well as type and number of water quality parameters. Thus, beside sustaining the unity in structure, this methodology could be suggested as a potentially WQI for other regions. The presented methodology would help more efficient monitoring of water resources for drinking purpose with respect to water quality.
The effects of gum tragacanth obtained from two species of Astragalus Gossypinus (GT-G) and A. Parrowianus (GT-P) at two levels of 10% and 30% combined with cellulose nanofibers (CNF; 5%) on the physico-mechanical and structural properties of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) nanocomposite film were investigated in this study. The water solubility and water vapor permeability of the films decreased with increasing the content of both gums, especially in the film containing 30% GT-P. The highest values of the tensile strength (39.3 MPa) and elongation at break (445%) belonged to the treatment containing 10% GT-P (90/10P/0). The FTIR and DSC analyses confirmed good interactions between GT and PVA in the 90/10P/0 treatment. SEM images indicated the dense structure of this film as the optimum treatment. Although the presence of CNF in the films containing GT-G improved some properties, especially the Young modulus, it impaired all the functional properties of nanocomposite GT-P film. 相似文献
In this paper, we evaluate the adequacy of several performance measures for the evaluation of driving skills between different drivers. This work was motivated by the need for a training system that captures the driving skills of an expert driver and transfers the skills to novice drivers using a haptic-enabled driving simulator. The performance measures examined include traditional task performance measures, e.g., the mean position error, and a stochastic distance between a pair of hidden Markov models (HMMs), each of which is trained for an individual driver. The emphasis of the latter is on the differences between the stochastic somatosensory processes of human driving skills. For the evaluation, we developed a driving simulator and carried out an experiment that collected the driving data of an expert driver whose data were used as a reference for comparison and of many other subjects. The performance measures were computed from the experimental data, and they were compared to each other. We also collected the subjective judgement scores of the driver’s skills made by a highly-experienced external evaluator, and these subjective scores were compared with the objective performance measures. Analysis results showed that the HMM-based distance metric had a moderately high correlation between the subjective scores and it was also consistent with the other task performance measures, indicating the adequacy of the HMM-based metric as an objective performance measure for driving skill learning. The findings of this work can contribute to developing a driving simulator for training with an objective assessment function of driving skills. 相似文献
Interoperability is the ability of systems to provide services to and accept services from other systems, and to use the services exchanged so as to operate together in a more effective manner. The fact that interoperability can be improved means that the metrics for measuring interoperability can be defined. For the purpose of measuring the interoperability between systems, an interoperability assessment model is required. This paper deals with the existing interoperability assessment models. A compara- tive analysis among these models is provided to evaluate the similarities and differences in their philosophy and implementation. In this paper, we propose a source localization algorithm based on a sparse Fast Fourier Transform (FFT)-based feature extraction method and spatial sparsity. We represent the sound source positions as a sparse vector by discretely segmenting the space with a circular grid. The location vector is related to microphone measurements through a linear equation, which can be estimated at each microphone. For this linear dimensionality reduction, we have utilized a Compressive Sensing (CS) and two-level FFT-based feature extraction method which combines two sets of audio signal features and covers both short-time and long-time properties of the signal. The proposed feature extraction method leads to a sparse representation of audio signals. As a result, a significant reduction in the dimensionality of the signals is achieved. In comparison to the state-of-the-art methods, the proposed method improves the accuracy while the complexity is reduced in some cases. 相似文献
