We developed a new training system, called ‘UR-System 2’, for the recovery of motor function of a plegic upper limb after stroke. UR-System 2, which was redesigned based on knowledge gained from clinical tests using UR-System 1, was newly equipped with a function for testing the motor function of patients, such as isolated movement. In order to verify the effectiveness of UR-System 2, we conducted the following procedures: we verified the safety of training in healthy persons; we gathered standard data on pronation and supination of healthy forearms during tests; and, we verified that the test function was effective in evaluating the recovery effect of isolated movement in two hemiplegic patients.  相似文献

Platinum/carbon (Pt/C) composite materials were prepared by the hydrazine reduction of H2PtCl6 confined to a mixed surfactant lytropic liquid crystal (LC)/C mixture with varying amounts of water. The reaction at relatively low water contents successfully yielded cross-linked Pt nanowires with wire-widths of 2-5 nm. The novel Pt nanostructure is believed to be from poorly hydrated hexagonal domains formed together with layered domains by the phase separation of the precursory LC mixture in the presence of carbon. Electrochemical measurements using cyclic volutammetry and membrane electrode assemblies revealed that the cross-linked nanowired Pt/C composite exhibits fairly high electrocatalytic activity for oxygen reduction reaction, as well as a high performance as the cathode material for polymer electrolyte fuel cells.  相似文献

This paper presents a novel posture control approach using feedback compensation with an unstable pole. For a narrow and small personal mobility robot (PMR), this is needed in order to control its posture for achieving quick turning and high acceleration. However, in the conventional control approach that uses the posture angle as a controlled variable, the zero moment point (ZMP) does not settle to the desired point in the following cases: an unknown disturbance force given to the PMR, a fluctuation in the center of gravity of the PMR, and a change in the conditions between the tires and the road surface. In this paper, a novel control method using feedback compensation with an unstable pole is proposed to achieve the desired ZMP in the steady state. The proposed controller changes the control input for the actuator of posture control to zero in order to achieve the desired posture angle. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is verified through experiments using a prototype of the PMR.  相似文献

Recently, renewable energy has been attracting attention as a result of global warming and the depletion of fossil fuels. Photovoltaic (PV) systems have spread rapidly around the world because they generate electric power quietly and can be installed in many places. The output power generated in a PV system fluctuates with changes in solar irradiance and panel temperature. The reverse flow of surplus power in output spikes may have a negative effect on electric power quality, such as on the frequency and voltage in a power system. A residential distributed generation (DG) system composed of a fuel cell (FC) unit, an electrolyzer (EL) unit, and a PV system has been proposed in order to resolve these problems. In order to operate this system without interruption, the hydrogen storage volume must be managed. This paper proposes a novel hydrogen management method for a residential DG system with PV cells and hydrogen‐storage type FCs. The hydrogen storage volume is maintained at the preset frequency by operating the FC unit and the EL unit. Models of the PV, FC, and EL were constructed for a simulation. In the simulation, we showed that the proposed management method is viable for a residential DG system with PV cells and hydrogen‐storage FCs.  相似文献

Recently a German appraisal instrument for clinical guidelines was published that could be used by various parties in formal evaluation of guidelines. An user's guide to the appraisal instrument was designed that contains a detailed explanation for each question to ensure that the instrument is interpreted consistently. This paper describes the purposes, format and contents of the user's guide, and reviews the key factors influencing the validity of guidelines. Taking into account international experiences, the purposes, chances and methodological limitations of a prospective assessment of clinical practice guidelines are discussed.  相似文献

We have recently demonstrated that the growth of murine macrophages is induced by oxidized low density lipoprotein (Ox-LDL) and that lysophosphatidylcholine (lyso-PC), a major phospholipid component of Ox-LDL, plays an essential role in its mitogenic effect. The present study was undertaken to further characterize the role of the macrophage scavenger receptor (MSR) in Ox-LDL-induced macrophage growth. The growth-stimulating effect of Ox-LDL on murine resident peritoneal macrophages was inhibited by maleylated bovine serum albumin (maleyl-BSA), a non-lipoprotein ligand for MSR but a poor carrier of lyso-PC, while maleyl-BSA itself failed to induce macrophage growth even in the presence of lyso-PC. Moreover, it competitively inhibited the endocytic uptake of 125I-Ox-LDL and the specific uptake of lyso-PC by MSR, whereas nonspecific lyso-PC transfer to cells was not affected. Furthermore, the Ox-LDL-induced cell growth of peritoneal macrophages obtained from MSR knockout mice was significantly weaker than that of macrophages obtained from their wild-type littermates. Our results suggest that the MSR is an important and efficient internalization pathway for lyso-PC in Ox-LDL-induced macrophage growth.  相似文献

We herein report an 83-year-old man who presented with a pleural tumor in the right thorax. The tumor was surgically resected and histopathologically diagnosed as ectopic primary pleural thymoma lacking any evidence of a mediastinal tumor. The authors evaluated, using computer image analysis system, 15 renal biopsy specimens from patients with MCD and 15 from patients with FSGS. As a control group 5 biopsy and 10 autopsy renal specimens were used. These studies revealed, that in MCD glomeruli showed proliferative changes unrecognizable by light microscopy. In FSGS glomeruli without sclerotic changes were larger than in controls and showed glomerular cells proliferation (per unit of glomerular area) similar to MCD. FSGS in comparison with MCD showed larger glomeruli and prominent interstitial fibrosis. These observations appeared to be helpful in distinguishing MCD and recent forms of FSGS. There were no correlations between relative interstitial volume and glomerular changes in MCD as well as in FSGS. The authors concluded, that histomorphometry can't be used instead of morphological examinations of renal biopsy specimens, but it gives objective informations about progression of the illness and may be useful in differential diagnosis of selected cases of MCD and FSGS.  相似文献

Four mono-O-methylated and one mono-O-acetylated UDP-D-Gal analogues and UDP-L-Fuc were synthesized. 2-O-Methyl-D-galactose residue was enzymatically transferred to give 2'-O-methyllactosaminide in high yield. UDP-Fuc and UDP-Man showed potent inhibitory activities against beta-1,4-galactosyltransferase. Structural requirement and steric allowance for the ground and transition states of the enzyme reaction were discussed.  相似文献
