This study was conducted to determine the effect of both soy protein and glycerol contents on physico-chemical properties of soy protein isolate-based edible (SPI) films. The aim of this study was to better understand the influence of SPI and GLY contents on the behavior of the physico-chemical properties of soy protein isolate-based films. Films were casted from heated (70 °C for 20 min) alkaline (pH 10) aqueous solutions of SPI at 6, 7, 8, and 9 (w/w %), glycerol (50%, w/w, of SPI) and SPI at 7 (w/w %), glycerol (40, 60, 70 %, w/w of SPI). Water vapor permeability (WVP), was measured at 25 °C and for four different relative humidities (30–100%, 30–84%, 30–75%, 30–53%). Surface properties and differential scanning calorimetry were also measured. Varying the proportion of SPI and GLY had an effect on water vapor permeability, wetting and thermal properties of SPI films. A synergistic effect of glycerol and protein was observed on the water vapor permeability. Glycerol and RH gradient strongly enhance the moisture absorption rates and permeability of SPI based films. SPI content weakly increases the WVP and does not modify the surface properties. The temperature of denaturation of soy protein decreases glycerol content except for the higher concentration whereas it increases with protein ratio.Industrial relevanceThis topic of research aims to control mass transfers within composite foods or betweenfoods and surrounding media (for instance the headspace in packagings). The targeted applications from this work deals with the food product coating or the coating of paper-based packaging for limiting both the loss of water and flavors by cheese based products. This will allow to maintain the weight of the cheese during “ripening” and commercialization, and also to prevent (off-) flavour dissemination from very odorant cheese as produced in France and Poland.  相似文献

Six flavonoid glycosides were isolated from the n-butanol fraction of cowpea seeds (Vigna sinensis K.) through silica gel (SiO2) and octadecyl silica gel (ODS) column chromatographies. Based on their chemical structures determined via interpretation of spectroscopic data including NMR, MS, and IR, the compounds were identified as kaempferol 3-O-β-d-sophoroside (1), quercetin 3-O-β-d-sophoroside (2), isoquercitrin (3), hyperin (4), catechin 7-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (5), and quercetin 3-O-β-Dglucopyranosyl( 1→6)-O-β-d-galactopyranoside (6). This is the first report of the isolation of these flavonoids from this plant. Among these flavonoids, compound 2, 5, and 6 significantly inhibited LDL oxidation exhibiting 96.0±0.1 (IC50: 3.9 μM), 96.8±1.7 (IC50: 2.9 μM), and 97.4±0.1% (IC50: 3.5 μM) inhibition, respectively, at a concentration of 40 μM.  相似文献

Niemann-Pick type C disease (NPC) is a rare inherited neurodegenerative disorder characterized by an accumulation of intracellular cholesterol within late endosomes and lysosomes due to NPC1 or NPC2 dysfunction. In this work, we tested the hypothesis that retromer impairment may be involved in the pathogenesis of NPC and may contribute to increased amyloidogenic processing of APP and enhanced BACE1-mediated proteolysis observed in NPC disease. Using NPC1-null cells, primary mouse NPC1-deficient neurons and NPC1-deficient mice (BALB/cNctr-Npc1m1N), we show that retromer function is impaired in NPC. This is manifested by altered transport of the retromer core components Vps26, Vps35 and/or retromer receptor sorLA and by retromer accumulation in neuronal processes, such as within axonal swellings. Changes in retromer distribution in NPC1 mouse brains were observed already at the presymptomatic stage (at 4-weeks of age), indicating that the retromer defect occurs early in the course of NPC disease and may contribute to downstream pathological processes. Furthermore, we show that cholesterol depletion in NPC1-null cells and in NPC1 mouse brains reverts retromer dysfunction, suggesting that retromer impairment in NPC is mechanistically dependent on cholesterol accumulation. Thus, we characterized retromer dysfunction in NPC and propose that the rescue of retromer impairment may represent a novel therapeutic approach against NPC.  相似文献

Computational simulations are used for the optimization of production processes in order to significantly reduce the need for costly experimental optimization approaches. Yet individual simulations can rarely describe more than a single production step. A set of simulations has to be coupled to each other to form a contiguous representation of a process chain. Eventually, simulated results have to be analyzed by domain experts to gather insight from the preformed computations. In this paper, we propose an IT infrastructure and software tools that aim at a rather non-intrusive way of coupling resources and domain expert’s knowledge to enable the collaborative setup, execution and analysis of distributed simulation chains. We illustrate the approach in the domain of materials processing. Beyond means originating from the domain of GRID computing for resource management, a data integration component assures semantic data integrity between the simulation steps and stores simulation data in an application independent way. Thus, we can transform this data into native formats for each simulation tool, and finally into a format that allows for contiguous visualizations and an intuitive, comprehensive analysis of complete simulated process chains.  相似文献

Understanding how members of a research team cooperate and identifying possible synergies may be crucial for organizational success. Using data-driven approaches, recommender systems may be able to find promising collaborations from publication data. Yet, the outcome of scientific endeavors (i.e. publications) are only produced sparingly in comparison to other forms of data, such as online purchases. In order to facilitate this data in augmenting research cooperation, we suggest to combine data-driven approaches such as text-mining, topic modeling and machine learning with interactive system components in an interactive visual recommendation system. The system leads to an augmented perspective on research cooperation in a network: Interactive visualization analyzes, which cooperation could be intensified due to topical overlap. This allows to reap the benefit of both worlds. First, utilizing the computational power to analyze large bodies of text and, second, utilizing the creative capacity of users to identify suitable collaborations, where machine-learning algorithms may fall short.  相似文献

The lipid composition of the seed oil of three varieties (L-74, VIR-11 and BGR-455) of Lallemantia iberica Fisch. &; Mey. (Lamiaceae) harvested in Bulgaria was examined in detail. Triacylglycerols (TAG >90%), phospholipids (<3%), sterol esters (~0.2%), and accompanying compounds—sterols (~0.3%) and tocopherols (336–499 mg/kg)—were determined for the first time. In addition, the specific distribution of fatty acids between the lipid classes was elucidated. Nineteen TAG species were unambiguously identified and quantified and of these the highly unsaturated trilinolenin, dilinolenyl linoleate and dilinolenyl palmitate comprised 59% of the total TAG. Phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylethanolamine were the main phospholipids. Beta-sitosterol was the main sterol component, followed by campesterol and stigmasterol. Gamma-tocopherol predominated (>90%) in the tocopherol fraction. Palmitic acid (16:0) was the major fatty acid of the phospholipids and oleic acid (cis 9-18:1) dominated in the sterol ester fraction. The three varieties have similar lipid compositions with BGR-455 being slightly more saturated. Due to its composition, Lallemantia oil might compete successfully with flax and other plant oils as a source of linolenic fatty acid in industrial and dietary applications.  相似文献

Three studies, 2 conducted in Israel and 1 conducted in Bosnia and Herzegovina, demonstrated that affirming a positive aspect of the self can increase one's willingness to acknowledge in-group responsibility for wrongdoing against others, express feelings of group-based guilt, and consequently provide greater support for reparation policies. By contrast, affirming one's group, although similarly boosting feelings of pride, failed to increase willingness to acknowledge and redress in-group wrongdoing. Studies 2 and 3 demonstrated the mediating role of group-based guilt. That is, increased acknowledgment of in-group responsibility for out-group victimization produced increased feelings of guilt, which in turn increased support for reparation policies to the victimized group. Lasiocepsin is a unique 27‐residue antimicrobial peptide, isolated from Lasioglossum laticeps (wild bee) venom, with substantial antibacterial and antifungal activity. It adopts a welldefined structure consisting of two α‐helices linked by a structured loop. Its basic residues form two distinct positively charged regions on the surface whereas aliphatic side chains contribute to solvent‐accessible hydrophobic areas, thus emphasising the amphipathic character of the molecule. Lasiocepsin structurally belongs to the ShK family and shows a strong preference for anionic phospholipids; this is further augmented by increasing concentrations of cardiolipin, such as those found at the poles of bacterial cells. The membrane‐permeabilising activity of the peptide is not limited to outer membranes of Gram‐negative bacteria. The peptide interacts with phospholipids initially through its N terminus, and its degree of penetration is strongly dependent on the presence of cardiolipin.  相似文献

Nowadays, one of the main challenges in factory planning is the consistent and coherent information modelling along planning processes. Despite the current efforts in the fields of virtual production as well as digital and virtual factory, planning and simulation applications mostly support only the analysis and the optimisation of single planning aspects. However, to match nowadays challenges, planners require solutions that provide an integrated view to evaluate planning scenarios in advance and to achieve increasing production quality and efficiency. The concept of virtual production intelligence (VPI) provides a basic concept for such an integrative information system that enables planners to integrate, to aggregate and to analyse data gathered during one planning project as well as to compare different projects. In this study, we present such an information system for factory planning using the concept of the VPI. The focus lies in particular on the information modelling as well as the information integration and evaluation. Therefore, the study presents theoretical basics and implementations of the VPI platform within a precise application scenario in factory planning. This is to process and provide a consolidated information base along the whole planning process to support factory planning projects.  相似文献
