Signing avatars are increasingly used as an interface for communication to the deaf community. In recent years, an emerging approach uses captured data to edit and generate sign language (SL) gestures. Thanks to motion editing operations (e.g., concatenation, mixing), this method offers the possibility to compose new utterances, thus facilitating the enrichment of the original corpus, enhancing the natural look of the animation, and promoting the avatar’s acceptability. However, designing such an editing system raises many questions. In particular, manipulating existing movements does not guarantee the semantic consistency of the reconstructed actions. A solution is to insert the human operator in a loop for constructing new utterances and to incorporate within the utterance’s structure constraints that are derived from linguistic patterns. This article discusses the main requirements for the whole pipeline design of interactive virtual signers, including: (1) the creation of corpora, (2) the needed resources for motion recording, (3) the annotation process as the heart of the SL editing process, (4) the building, indexing, and querying of a motion database, (5) the virtual avatar animation by editing and composing motion segments, and (6) the conception of a dedicated user interface according to user’ knowledge and abilities. This paper studies the effect high performance pipelined GF(2^256) bit-serial multiplier on elliptic curve point operations. A 3-stage pipelined version of the Massy-Omura GF(2m) normal basis multiplier for 160 ≤ m ≤256 was studied in terms of area overhead and throughput improvement. Simple gate area and delay models were used to estimate the throughput of the pipelined and the non-pipelined multipliers. The proposed pipelined architecture has been shown to have a significant improvement in throughput allowing a single 3-stage pipelined multiplier to have higher throughput than an architecture employing three parallel non-pipelined multipliers. The AT2 performance metric has shown an even more significant improvement.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

In this work, the formulation of a new triangular finite element is presented for static and free vibration of plate bending. The developed element which contains the three essential external degrees of freedom at each of the three corner nodes is based on the Reissner/Mindlin theory and the strain-based approach. This element is based on the linear variation of the three bending strains and constant transverse shear strains. The present element performances are evaluated through several tests related to moderated thick and thin plates with various shapes where it is found to be numerically more efficient than the bilinear element.  相似文献

A novel highly sensitive Ag‐nanocomposite for humidity detection has been successfully prepared. Initially, cellulose isolated from Tunisian palm date petiole was converted to carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) as biomatrix under heterogeneous conditions. The synthesized product was thoroughly characterized by means of FT‐IR spectroscopy, viscosity analysis, and high performance size exclusion chromatography multiangle laser light scattering. CMC was used as reducing and stabilizing agent to prepare CMC‐stabilized silver nanoparticles via a rapid green method. The bioreduction of silver ions under different experimental conditions, including Ag+ concentration and pH, was investigated. Optimal experimental conditions provided a long‐term stable colloidal suspension and well‐dispersed spherical shape Ag NPs with a size ranging from 13 to 28 nm. Ag‐nanocomposite coated quartz microbalance crystal was used as sensitive layer for humidity detection. A comparative study showed that the immobilized metallic nanostructures greatly reduced changes in visco‐elastic properties, increased surface area as well as surface local charge density of the CMC. Consequently, sensor performances were greatly enhanced: better stability even at higher relative humidity (RH), good reproducibility and linearity (11–98% RH), low hysteresis characteristics, and rapid response and recovery times (14 and 6 s, respectively) were obtained. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. There are many applications in power electronics that demand high step‐up conversion ratio between the source and the load. A simple way of achieving such a high voltage ratio is by cascading DC–DC boost converters in a few stages. The individual converters in such a cascaded system are usually designed separately applying classical design criteria. This paper investigates the stability of the overall system of a cascade connection of two boost converters under current mode control. We first demonstrate the bifurcation behavior of the system, and it is shown that the desired periodic orbit can undergo fast‐scale period doubling bifurcation leading to subharmonic oscillations and chaotic regimes under parameter variation. The value of the intermediate capacitor is taken as a design parameter, and we determine the minimum ramp slope in the first stage required to maintain stability. It is shown that smaller capacitance values give rise to wider stability range. We explain the bifurcation phenomena using a full‐order model. Then, in order to simplify the analysis and to obtain a closed‐form expression to explain the previous observation, we develop a reduced‐order model by treating the second stage as a current sink. This allows us to obtain design‐oriented stability boundaries in the parameter space by taking into account slope interactions between the state variables in the two stages. A comparative study was performed to determine tocopherols, tocotrienols, fatty acids, and pigments content during the development of three varieties of flaxseed (H52, O116 and P129). Seed samples were collected at regular intervals from 7 to 56 days after flowering (DAF). The highest content of chlorophyll (89.72–130.5 mg/kg oil) was detected at 7 DAF. The maximum level of carotenoids (52.10–65.55 mg/kg oil) was reached at 21 DAF. During seed development, unsaturated fatty acids are the major component, reaching 85% of the total fatty acids while saturated fatty acids content were about 15%. The maximum level of γ-tocopherol (585 mg/kg oil) was reached at 42 DAF in P129 variety. These results may be useful for evaluating the flaxseed quality and determining its optimal harvest period.  相似文献
