On the mechanism of decrease in planar dechanneling of relativistic protons

The results of computer simulation reveal a significant decrease in the number of relativistic protons dechanneled from the (100) planar channel of a germanium crystal. It is shown that the mechanism of this decrease in planar dechanneling is related to the influence of a continuous potential of the planar channel on the evolution of mean square fluctuations of the transversal dynamical variables (coordinate, velocity, and energy) of relativistic protons.

High-power 0.82 mu m superluminescent diodes with extremely low Fabry-Perot modulation depth

Superluminescent AlGaAs-GaAs diodes with 15 mW output power and 1% Fabry-Perot modulation depth and modules with 3 mW polarisation maintaining fibre output have been developed. At output powers of more than 8 mW the effect of saturation on power fluctuations was observed.<>     

Application of the Luikov Approximate Solutions to Mathematical Description of the Process of Self-Freezing of Materials by Decreasing Pressure

A mathematical model for the process of self-freezing of moist materials in a continuously increasing vacuum which is developed on the basis of the approximate solutions obtained by A. V. Luikov for drying of capillary-porous media is presented. Results of experimental investigations into the self-freezing of a moist cloth are given, from which the temperature of supercooling of the surface material layer, the temperature coefficient, and the velocity of deepening of the freezing surface are determined; all of these parameters are used in mathematical simulation of the above process.

This work presents the electrical distribution equipment for the pipeline project and marine terminal installation in prefabricated buildings. The difficulties that occurred during the project and the solutions implemented when applying local regulations and in obtaining GOST-R and GOST-K certification from the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan are described in this article. The marine terminal substation buildings were selected to illustrate the concepts used and the problems encountered during the design, construction, commission, and operation phases.

Mathematical simulation of the drying of suspensions and colloidal solutions by their depressurization

The heat and mass transfer in the process of drying of high-humidity materials by their depressurization has been investigated. The results of experimental investigation and mathematical simulation of the indicated process are presented. They allow one to determine the regularities of this process and predict the quality of the finished product.
