In this work, the effect of low volatile hydroxyethylhydrazine (HEH) as a solute on unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine (UDMH) has been studied in order to reduce harmful effects of UDMH vapors. Desirable physical properties of binary mixtures UDMH/HEH have been measured and compared to pure UDMH. These properties include boiling point, viscosity, density, and vapor pressure that are important for using binary mixtures of UDMH/HEH as less dangerous liquid propellants. Due to the formation of strong hydrogen bonding between UDMH and HEH, the volatility of UDMH has been reduced appreciably upon the addition of HEH. It is indicated that the measured physical properties may deviate significantly compared to corresponding predicted values. Binary mixtures of UDMH/HEH can also react spontaneously in contact with nitrogen tetroxide (NTO) and red fuming nitric acid (RFNA), so they can be called hypergolic propellants.  相似文献

Viscoelastic models composing of different combination of spring and dashpot are usually used to explain the mechanical behavior of textile materials. In this work, a viscoelastic model was presented to analyze the effect of traffic exposure on the compression and recovery performance of the pile carpet. Wear test, performed by a Hexapod tumbling machine, was conducted to simulate the traffic exposure. Using a tensile tester, adjusted in compression mode, one cycle of compression–decompression was applied to the samples. The standard nonlinear model was presented to fit the experimental data. Best curve fitting based on the least square method was then used to fit the model to the experimental curve. Different attributions of compression were then analyzed and discussed. The results showed that the standard nonlinear model was fitted to the experimental curves with an acceptable coefficient of regression (R2). The district model parameters, i.e. the spring and dashpot constants, were both decreased as the wear cycles increased. At the higher level of wear cycles, the model parameters showed some increment. The initial compression modulus showed the same trend. This may be explained by the more compactness of the carpet at higher wear cycles. The decompression modulus, compression and the decompression work also decreased with the increase of wear cycles. However, no significant increase of the formers was observed at the higher wear cycles.  相似文献

Rhenium distribution between Tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP) dissolved in kerosene and sulfuric aqueous media is investigated under different temperatures, acidities, and TBP concentrations. Results show an exothermic extraction reaction with a distribution factor that decreases with the increase of the temperature and increases with the increase of the acidity and the TBP concentration. The stoichiometry of the reaction indicates neutralization of 1 mole of H+ with 1 mole of ReO 4 and solvating of a neutral molecule with four molecules of TBP. The structure of the complexes formed is, therefore, 4TBP · HReO4. The apparent Gibbs free energy of the formation of 4TBP · HReO4 from TBP, ReO 4 , and H+ is determined to be equal to −66,989 + 219.8 T J/mole.  相似文献

A simplified method is shown, based on a semi‐empirical procedure, to estimate the detonation velocities of CHNO explosives at various loading densities. It is assumed that the product composition consists almost of CO, CO2, H2O and N2 for oxygen‐rich explosives. In addition solid carbon and H2 are also counted for an oxygen‐lean explosive. The approximate detonation temperature, as a second needed parameter, can be calculated from the total heat capacity of the detonation products and the heat of formation of the explosive by PM3 procedure. The detonation velocities of some well‐known CHNO explosives, calculated by the simple procedure, fit well with measured detonation velocities and the results from the well‐established BKW‐EOS computer code.  相似文献

The removal of various organic micropollutants (OMPs), including six antibiotics (ERY, ROX, CLA, SMX, SMZ, and TMP), three pharmaceuticals (ibuprofen, salicylic acid, and diclofenac), one industrial product (BPA), and one hormone (cholesterol), was investigated in two pilot plants treating the same raw sewage of the Tel-Aviv WWTP. The effluent production by CAS-UF was 45 m3/h while that of MBR was 40 L/h. Each system's effluent constituted the feed for its RO, which comprised three RO steps after the CAS/UF and a semi-batch RO system after the MBR. Despite significant molecular differences between the selected OMPs, high removal rates were achieved after the RO stage (> 99% for macrolides, pharmaceuticals, cholesterol, and BPA, 95% for diclofenac, and > 93% removal of sulfonamides). However, low antibiotics concentrations and 28–223 ng/L residuals of ibuprofen, diclofenac, salicylic acid, cholesterol, and BPA in the MBR/RO and CAS-UF/RO permeates showed that although RO is an efficient removal solution, it cannot serve as an absolute barrier to OMPs. Therefore, additional treatment techniques should be considered to be incorporated aside the RO to ensure complete removal of such substances.  相似文献

Microbial fuel cells (MFCs) produce electricity as a result of the microbial metabolism of organic substrates, hence they represent a sustainable approach for energy production and waste treatment. If the technology is to be implemented in industry, low cost and sustainable bioelectrodes must be developed to increase power output, increase waste treatment capacity, and improve service intervals. Although the current application of abiotic electrode catalysts, such as platinum and electrode binders such as Nafion leads to greater MFC performance, their use is cost prohibitive. Novel bioelectrodes which use cost effective and sustainable materials are being developed. These electrodes are developed with the intention to reduce start-up time, reduce costs, extend life-span and improve core MFC performance metrics (i.e. power density, current density, chemical oxygen demand (COD) reduction and Coulombic efficiency (CE)). Comparison of different MFC systems is not an easy task. This is due to variations in MFC design, construction, operation, and different inocula (in the case of mixed-culture MFCs). This high intra-system variability should be considered when assessing MFC data, operation and performance. This review article examines the major issues surrounding bioanode and biocathode improvement in different MFC systems, with the ultimate goal of streamlining and standardising improvement processes. © 2018 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to study a simultaneous lot-sizing and scheduling in multi-product, multi-period flexible flow shop environments. A new mixed integer programming (MIP) model is proposed to formulate the problem. The objective function includes the total cost of production, inventory, and external supply. In this study, in case of not meeting the demand of customers, this demand should be met by foreign suppliers in higher price. Due to the high computational complexity of the studied problem, a rolling horizon heuristic (RHH) and particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO) are implemented to solve the problem. These algorithms find a feasible and near-optimal from production planning and scheduling. Additionally, Taguchi method is conducted to calibrate the parameters of the PSO algorithm and select the optimal levels of the influential factors. The computational results show that the algorithms are capable of achieving results with good quality in a reasonable time and PSO has better objective values in comparison with RHH. Also, the real case study for tile industry with real features is applied. Sensitivity analysis is used to evaluate the performance of the model.  相似文献
