In this study, copper samples with 99% purity implanted by N+ and N2 + ions. Implantation of ions performed at 50 keV and various doses ranging from 1 × 1017 to 1 × 1018 ions/cm2. Morphology of samples’ surface studied by atomic force microscopy. Microstructure of modified surfaces after ion implantation obtained using grazing incidence X-ray diffraction technique (GIXRD). Formation of both copper nitride and copper trinities confirmed by GIXRD results. Microhardness properties and corrosion behavior of implanted samples measured by Vickers and corrosion test, respectively. The maximum hardness of copper surface observed after nitrogen ion implantation at the dose of 3 × 1017 ions/cm2. Moreover, the results showed that corrosion resistivity significantly increase.  相似文献

Highly basic CaO nanoparticles immobilized mesoporous carbon materials (CaO-CMK-3) with different pore diameters have been successfully prepared by using wet-impregnation method. The prepared materials were subjected to extensive characterization studies using sophisticated techniques such as XRD, nitrogen adsorption, HRSEM-EDX, HRTEM and temperature programmed desorption of CO2 (TPD of CO2). The physico-chemical characterization results revealed that these materials possess highly dispersed CaO nanoparticles, excellent nanopores with well-ordered structure, high specific surface area, large specific pore volume, pore diameter and very high basicity. We have also demonstrated that the basicity of the CaO-CMK-3 samples can be controlled by simply varying the amount of CaO loading and pore diameter of the carbon support. The basic catalytic performance of the samples was investigated in the base-catalyzed transesterification of ethylacetoacetate by aryl, aliphatic and cyclic primary alcohols. CMK-3 catalyst with higher CaO loading and larger pore diameter was found to be highly active with higher conversion within a very short reaction time. The activity of 30% CaO-CMK3-150 catalyst for transesterification of ethylacetoacetate using different alcohols increases in the following order: octanol > butanol > cyclohexanol > benzyl alcohol > furfuryl alcohol.  相似文献

This paper presents economic efficiency evaluation of electricity markets operating on the basis of a coordinated multilateral trading concept. The evaluation accounts for the overall costs of power generation, network losses, and system and unit constraints. We assume a non-collusive oligopolistic competition. An iterative Cournot model is used to characterize the competitive behavior of suppliers. A supplier maximizes the profit of each of his generating units while taking rivals' generation as given. Time span is over multiple hours. This leads to a mixed integer non-linear programming problem. We use the augmented Lagrangian approach to solve iteratively for globally optimal schedules. An IEEE 24-bus, 8-supplier, and 17-customer test system is used for illustration. The results show that such a market at times of light demands exhibits little market power, and at times of large demands exhibits a great deal of market power. This contrasts with the PCMI and HHI concentration measures, which give fixed measurement values of market power. The results of two-year (730 round) market simulations show a range of deadweight efficiency loss between 0.9 and 6% compared to that of PoolCo which results in a range between 0.5 and 10% for the same test case.  相似文献

Pure water is the fundamental requisite for human life. The water has been recycled naturally but not in an adequate amount for consumption. Nanotechnology with extraordinary applications provides competent ways for the decontamination of contaminated water. In the present study MnWO4 nanoflowers endorsed with inherent antibacterial activity were successfully synthesized by facile hydrothermal approach. XRD, SEM, EDX spectroscopy and UVDRS were used to characterize the as-synthesized nanoflowers. Gram negative Escherichia coli ATCC 52922 bacterium was used as model organism to test antibacterial activity of as-synthesized MnWO4 nanoflowers. This study was conducted to optimize minimum concentration of MnWO4 nanoflowers and maximum contact time required to achieve complete inactivation of bacteria present in contaminated water. Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of MnWO4 nanoflowers was found to be 10 μg/ml. The assessment and interpretation of bacterial viability was done using dual fluorescent staining. The synthesized 3D-nanoflowers were found as potent bactericides. Thus, MnWO4 nanoflowers emerged to be very good future material for disinfection of biological pollutants present in the contaminated water reservoirs and as an anti-biofouling agent.  相似文献

Polyamide 66 fibers were thermoset in a torsion-bending deformation at various temperatures up to 240 °C. Some of the fibers were heat-set at constant length prior to the deformation at presetting temperatures of 150 °C and 200 °C to vary the structural state of the starting material. Fractional recovery was measured after various combinations of temperature and time. It was found that heat setting of PA66 is dominated by time-dependent stress relaxation exhibiting time-temperature equivalence. Increased crystallinity, and/or other molecular rearrangements occurring during presetting, impose additional constraints on molecular mobility, which delay onset of the flow regime and increase the time constant of relaxation at a given temperature. The thermosetting characteristics of PA66 fibers are very similar to those of poly(ethylene terephthalate) fibers. For both polymers, superposing the curves of fractional recovery vs. setting time at different temperatures produce satisfactory master curves, without the need for vertical shifting of the data. Arrhenius plots yield approximate activation energies for the thermosetting flow process of 35-65 kcal/mol in PA66 and 95-115 kcal/mol in PET.  相似文献

Structural changes that occur during thermally induced and strain induced crystallization of polyamide 66 fibers were studied by infrared spectroscopy, density measurement and optical microscopy. Two bands at 924 and 1136 cm–1 were shown to arise from the amorphous phase and assignment of the bands at 936 and 1200 cm–1 to the crystalline phase were confirmed. We demonstrated that two different infrared spectroscopic methods could be used to determine the total crystallinity of polyamide 66 fibers. One is a calibration method in which the band ratio of 1200 and 1630 cm–1 is plotted against the crystallinity measured by density measurements. The other one is an independent infrared method. Crystallinity obtained by the independent infrared spectroscopic method showed good agreement with crystallinity observed by density measurement. Infrared dichroism was used to obtain the crystalline orientation using the band at 936 cm–1. The transition moment angle of 48° was found for the band at 936 cm–1 with respect to chain axis. This study investigated the influence of brain docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) deficiency on simple and complex olfactory-based learning and memory in 2nd generation (F2) adult male rats. Rats raised and maintained on either an n-3-adequate or an n-3-deficient diet were tested for acquisition of an olfactory learning set and an olfactory memory task, and for motivation to obtain a water reward. Despite a 76% decrease in brain DHA, n-3-deficient rats were able to acquire most simple 2-odor discrimination tasks but were deficient in the acquisition of a 20-problem olfactory learning set. This deficit could not be attributed to changes in sensory capacity but, instead, appeared to represent a deficit in higher order learning.
