The genetic algorithm is an important tool in image formation and processing. In the present paper, the genetic algorithm is used in conjunction with a conjugate gradient method as a tool for electromagnetic imaging of dielectric targets. The genetic algorithm is in principle able to reach the global minimum of the “fitness function” resulting from the fitting of the exact measured data with the field-scattered data corresponding to the parameters of the current “image” of the object under test. The conjugate gradient is used to enhance the convergence of the iterative method near the solution. In the following, the formulation of the new approach is described and a numerical assessment about robustness and effectiveness of the method is presented. 相似文献

To determine which structural characteristics of membrane phospholipids influence adenylate cyclase activity, we measured
basal and sodium fluoride- or forskolin-stimulated activity in a murine fibroblast cell line,i.e., Balb/c3T3 cells grown in media supplemented with fetal calf serum (FCS), lipid-depleted FCS (LD-FCS) or LD-FCS complexed
with different phosphatidylcholine (PC) molecular species. Cells grown in the presence of LD-FCS showed a substantial decrease
in their basal and NaF-stimulated adenylate cyclase activities; however, their forskolin-stimulated activity was not altered,
suggesting that the enzyme's catalytic site is not affected by changes in membrane lipids. Media supplemented with different
LD-FCS/PC complexes were shown to prevent the LD-FCS-mediated reduction of basal and NaF-stimulated adenylate cyclase activity
to different extents. Addition ofcis-9-16∶1/cis-9-16∶1,cis-9-18∶1/cis-9-18∶1 orcis-9-18∶1/cis-9,12-18∶2sn-glycerophosphocholine (GPC) completely restored adenylate cyclase activity, whilecis-11-18∶1/cis-11-18∶1 GPC was not effective and only a partial recovery was observed with 16∶0/16∶0, 16∶0/cis-9-18∶1 andtrans-9-18∶1 GPC. Considering the structural features of these seven PC molecular species, the findings suggest that an optimal
lipid environment is conferred to the enzyme by the presence of thecis double bonds, each located in Δ9 position of the PC acyl chains. The limited effect ofcis-9-16∶1/cis-9-18∶1 GPC andcis-9-18∶1/cis-9-16∶1 GPC suggests that an equal length of the terminal hydrocarbon chains extending bevond the Δ9 double bonds is also
important. Moreover, complete restoration of adenylate cyclase activity in cells exposed to 16∶0/cis-9,12-18∶2 GPC suggests that twocis-9,12 double bonds located on the same chain are as effective as twocis-9 double bonds each located on two different chains of PC. As the four double bonds of 16∶0/cis-5,8,11,14-20∶4 GPC had no effect, a mere increase in the number of double bonds seems insufficient to build an optimal lipid

The tripartite model of depression and anxiety suggests that depression and anxiety have shared (generalized negative affect) and specific (anhedonia and physiological hyperarousal) components. In one of the 1st studies to examine the structure of mood-related symptoms in youngsters, this model was tested among 116 child and adolescent psychiatric inpatients, ages 8–16 (M?=?12.46; SD?=?2.33). Consistent with the tripartite model, a 3-factor (Depression, Anxiety, and Negative Affect) model represented the observed data well. Given an input-output map associated with a nonlinear discrete-time state equationx(t + 1) =f(x(t);u(t)) and a nonlinear outputy(t) =h(x(t)), we present a method for obtaining a “discrete Volterra series” representation of the outputy(t) in terms of the controlsu(0), ...,u(t − 1). The proof is based on Taylor-type expansions of the iterated composition of analytic functions. It allows us to make
an explicit construction of each kernel, that is, each coefficient of the series expansion ofy(t) in powers of the controls. This is achieved by making use of successive directional derivatives associated with a family
of vector fields which are deduced from the discrete state equations. We discuss the use of these vector fields for the analysis
and control of nonlinear discrete-time systems.

Participants (N?=?222) completed measures of negative mood regulation (NMR) expectancies, negative life events, coping responses, dysphoria, and somatic symptoms. After 6 to 8 wks, they completed the same questionnaires except that daily hassles in the previous month were assessed instead of negative life events. In cross-sectional analyses and with stable variance in coping and symptoms controlled, NMR expectancies were positively related to active coping and negatively related to avoidant coping and symptoms. Changes in NMR expectancies and dysphoria were correlated. Time 1 dysphoria was positively related to daily hassles at Time 2, which in turn was associated with changes in coping and dysphoria from Time 1 to Time 2. In this paper, we evaluate the potentialities of hafnium-aluminates (HfAlO) materials as possible candidates for the interpoly dielectrics of future Flash memory devices. HfAlO layers of different thicknesses and compositions are integrated in single-layers and in Oxide/HfAlO/Oxide (OHO) triple-layer stacks, and analyzed in terms of coupling and insulating capabilities. We demonstrate that increasing the Hf content allows reducing the leakage current at high voltages but it results in a stronger leakage current at low voltages. We also show that once normalized in electric fields, the leakage current characteristics are independent of the high-k thickness. The electron conduction modes in these materials, at different temperatures, are also investigated. The activation energy increases with the Hf concentration in the HfAlO alloy, resulting in a higher leakage current at elevated temperatures. Finally, it is demonstrated that the conduction in triple-layer stacks is limited by a Poole–Frenkel conduction in the high-k layers, while the trap contribution in the case of single-layers becomes dominant when the HfAlO layer is thicker than 8 nm. 相似文献

Optical flow estimation is a recurrent problem in several disciplines and assumes a primary importance in a number of applicative
fields such as medical imaging [12], computer vision [6], productive process control [4], etc. In this paper, a differential
method for optical flow evaluation is being presented. It employs a new error formulation that ensures a more than satisfactory
image reconstruction in those points which are free of motion discontinuity. A dynamic scheme of brightness-sample processing
has been used to regularise the motion field. A technique based on the concurrent processing of sequences with multiple pairs
of images has also been developed for improving detection and resolution of mobile objects on the scene, if they exist. This
approach permits to detect motions ranging from a fraction of a pixel to a few pixels per frame. Good results, even on noisy
sequences and without the need of a filtering pre-processing stage, can be achieved. The intrinsic method structure can be
exploited for favourable implementation on multi-processor systems with a scalable degree of parallelism. Several sequences,
some with noise and presenting various types of motions, have been used for evaluating the performances and the effectiveness
of the method.
