A new method for enhancing the charge separation and photo‐electrochemical stability of CuBi2O4 photoelectrodes by sequentially depositing Bi2O3 and CuO layers on fluorine‐doped tin oxide substrates with pulsed laser deposition (PLD), followed by rapid thermal processing (RTP), resulting in phase‐pure, highly crystalline films after 10 min at 650 °C, is reported. Conventional furnace annealing of similar films for 72 h at 500 °C do not result in phase‐pure CuBi2O4. The combined PLD and RTP approach allow excellent control of the Bi:Cu stoichiometry and results in photoelectrodes with superior electronic properties compared to photoelectrodes fabricated through spray pyrolysis. The low photocurrents of the CuBi2O4 photocathodes fabricated through PLD/RTP in this study are primarily attributed to their low specific surface area, lack of CuO impurities, and limited, slow charge transport in the undoped films. Bare (without protection layers) CuBi2O4 photoelectrodes made with PLD/RTP shows a photocurrent decrease of only 26% after 5 h, which represents the highest stability reported to date for this material. The PLD/RTP fabrication approach offers new possibilities of fabricating complex metal oxides photoelectrodes with a high degree of crystallinity and good electronic properties at higher temperatures than the thermal stability of glass‐based transparent conductive substrates would allow.  相似文献

A novel and simple coplanar waveguide fed compact antenna is introduced in this paper. The antenna structure combines the advantages of CPW with those of the broadband antenna and simplifies the structure of the antenna by reducing the number of metallization level to construct uni-planar antenna. Prototype of the proposed antenna have been constructed and studied experimentally. The measured results agrees well with the simulated prediction and shows a broad bandwidth of 6 GHz ranging from 3.5 GHz to 9.5 GHz with VSWR ≤2 (return loss ≤−10 dB), which is equivalent to 92.3% impedance bandwidth centered at 6.5 GHz. The proposed antenna shows stable radiation characteristics, gain and axial ratio of less than 1 dB over the whole operating bandwidth. Furthermore, an extensive parametric study was performed to realize the relationship between the resonance frequencies of the broadband antennas and different parameters which is helpful for advancement of the antenna design.  相似文献

Even though various wireless Net-work Access Technologies (NATs) with dif-ferent specifications and applications have been developed in the recent years, no single wireless technology alone can satisfy the any-time, anywhere, and any service wire-less-access needs of mobile users. A real seamless wireless mobile environment is only realized by considering vertical and horizontal handoffs together. One of the major design issues in heterogeneous wireless networks is the support of Vertical Handoff (VHO). VHO occurs when a multi-interface enabled mobile terminal changes its Point of Attachment (PoA) from one type of wireless access technology to another, while maintaining an active session. In this paper we present a novel multi-criteria VHO algorithm, which chooses the target NAT based on several factors such as user preferences, system parameters, and traffic-types with varying Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. Two modules i.e., VHO Necessity Estimation (VHONE) module and target NAT selection module, are designed. Both modules utilize several “weighted” users’ and system’s parameters. To improve the robustness of the proposed algorithm, the weighting system is designed based on the concept of fuzzy linguistic variables.  相似文献

Tungsten heavy alloys (WHAs) are metal–metal composites consisting of nearly pure spherical tungsten particles embedded in a Ni–Fe–W or Ni–Co–W or Ni–Cu–W ductile matrix. In this dual phase alloy, there are several complicated relations between the ductile matrix and hard tungsten particles. The aim of this research was to examine the effect of varying tungsten content on the microstructure and mechanical properties of tungsten heavy alloys. The microstructural parameters (grain size, connectivity, contiguity and solid volume fraction) were measured and were found to have a significant effect on the mechanical properties of tungsten-based heavy alloys. The result shows that the binding strength between the W and the matrix phase has a major influence on the ductility of tungsten-based alloys. The larger this binding force is, the better the ductility is.  相似文献

Shelf life of several marine fish species of Bangladesh during ice storage   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Organoleptic, biochemical and bacteriological aspects of five tropical marine fish such as silver jewfish, Bombay duck, big-eye tuna, Chinese pomfret and ribbon fish stored in ice were studied. Organoleptically all fish were found acceptable for 10–13 days before becoming inedible. Proximate analysis showed that moisture content increased slightly; protein and lipid content decreased gradually and ash had little or no significant change. pH, TVB-N, peroxide and aerobic plate count values increased with increasing storage period but the values were within acceptable range up to 10 days of storage. Changes in myofibrillar ATPase activity and solubility of these fishes showed that Ca2+ ATPase in the presence of both 0.1  m and 0.5  m KCl decreased gradually whereas no marked changes were observed in the Mg+2 ATPase activities in the presence/absence of Ca+2. Myofibrillar protein solubility of all fish samples also decreased considerably during ice storage. The decrement in Ca2+ ATPase activity and solubility indicates denaturation of myofibrillar protein of fish samples during ice storage.  相似文献

Nano sized polycrystalline soft ferrite particles with composition Cu1−xCoxFe2O4 (x =0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9) were synthesized by the sol–gel technique. The existence of well-defined single cubic spinel structure was confirmed in all the samples by X-ray diffraction. The crystallite size found by XRD varied from 14.8 to 34.0 nm. The microstructure was also characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Slight expansion of the unit cell was detected with the increase of Cobalt concentration, which may be attributed due to larger ionic radius of Co2+. Lattice parameter ranged from 8.34 Å to 8.37 Å for Co2+ from 0.1–0.9. The distribution of cations amongst A- and B-sites of the lattice was estimated by X-ray diffraction by using the R-factor technique. The results showed that both Cu2+ and Co2+ ions occupy mainly the B-site while Fe3+ ions were equally distributed among A- and B-sites. The data obtained from cation distribution analysis was used to determine the magnetic moment for each sample and VSM studies were also carried out to validate these calculations. Magnetic measurements showed that the saturation magnetization (Ms) and coercivity (Hc) increased with increasing cobalt content.  相似文献
