The driving force for active transport of Na+ in the isolated toad bladder, ENa, was measured as the reciprocal slope of the change in conductance with change in short-circuit current after stimulation with antidiuretic hormone. The base-line short-circuit current was altered by change in ambient Na+ concentration or addition of amiloride, maneuvers which alter availability of Na+ at the site of active transport. In the absence of a chemical gradient for Na+ across the bladder, ENa was found to be inversely related to the rate of Na+ transport, a finding incompatible with the simple electrical analogue that has been proposed for the system. The results provide additional support for the view that ENa measured in this way has both energetic and kinetic components.  相似文献

Distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) and charge asymmetric resonance tunneling (CART) structures were applied to nitride-based green light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to enhance their output efficiency It was found that we can reduce the forward voltage at 20 mA from 3.7 to 3.2 V with the inclusion of CART structure. It was also found that the electroluminescence peak wavelength of the CART LED is less sensitive to the amount of injection current. The output power and external quantum efficiency of the CART LED with DBR structure measured at 20 mA can reach 7.2 mW and 11.25%, respectively  相似文献

Si ion implantation into p-type GaN followed by rapid thermal annealing (RTA) in N/sub 2/ has been performed. X-ray diffraction analyses indicate that ion-implanted damage remains even with 1050/spl deg/C, 60 s RTA. By varying implantation and postimplantation annealing conditions, we could convert carrier concentration from p-type 3 /spl times/ 10/sup 17/ cm/sup -3/ into n-type 2 /spl times/ 10/sup 17/ cm/sup -3/ /spl sim/2 /spl times/ 10/sup 19/ cm/sup -3/. It was found that typical activation energies of Si implants in p-GaN are lower than 10 meV. Such activation energies are smaller than those observed from epitaxially grown Si-doped GaN films. A deep donor level with activation energy of 60 meV was also found from some samples. Photoluminescence studies show that the peak appears at 372 nm might be related to implantation-induced defects. It was also found that a green emission band could be observed from Si-implanted GaN. It was shown that such a green emission is related to the yellow band observed from epitaxially grown Si-doped GaN. The transport properties of these Si-implanted samples were also studied.  相似文献

In this work, we have demonstrated that amorphous ZnO nanobranches (a-ZnO NBs) could spontaneously react from the crystalline ZnO NWs (c-ZnO NWs) at specific humid environment. The spontaneous reaction mechanism and result can be analyzed by humidity controlling and optical microscope (OM)/scanning electron microscope (SEM)/Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM)/transmission electron microscopy (TEM) system. We can make the c-ZnO NWs spontaneous reaction happen at different humid environments and suppress the a-ZnO NBs spontaneous reaction by oxygen/hydrogen plasma surface passivation. The hydrogen plasma surface treatment also can improve the UV sensing sensitivity more than twofold. This work provides the mechanism and methods of the a-ZnO NBs spontaneous growth and offers the passivation treatment for strengthening and enhancing ZnO-based nanodevice application in humid environment and UV light detection, respectively.  相似文献

Under metabolic stress conditions such as hypoxia and glucose deprivation, an increase in the AMP:ATP ratio activates the AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) pathway, resulting in the modulation of cellular metabolism. Metformin, which is widely prescribed for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients, regulates blood sugar by inhibiting hepatic gluconeogenesis and promoting insulin sensitivity to facilitate glucose uptake by cells. At the molecular level, the most well-known mechanism of metformin-mediated cytoprotection is AMPK pathway activation, which modulates metabolism and protects cells from degradation or pathogenic changes, such as those related to aging and diabetic retinopathy (DR). Recently, it has been revealed that metformin acts via AMPK- and non-AMPK-mediated pathways to exert effects beyond those related to diabetes treatment that might prevent aging and ameliorate DR. This review focuses on new insights into the anticancer effects of metformin and its potential modulation of several novel types of nonapoptotic cell death, including ferroptosis, pyroptosis, and necroptosis. In addition, the antimetastatic and immunosuppressive effects of metformin and its hypothesized mechanism are also discussed, highlighting promising cancer prevention strategies for the future.  相似文献

A new chromene derivative, 2-(4'',8''-dimethylnona-3''E,7''-dienyl)-8-hydroxy-2,6-dimethyl-2H-chromene (1) together with four known natural products, methylfarnesylquinone (2), isololiolide (3), pheophytin a (4), and β-carotene (5) were isolated from the brown alga Homoeostrichus formosana. The structure of 1 was determined by extensive 1D and 2D spectroscopic analyses. Acetylation of 1 yielded the monoacetylated derivative 2-(4'',8''-dimethylnona-3''E,7''-dienyl)-8-acetyl-2,6-dimethyl-2H-chromene (6). Compounds 1–6 exhibited various levels of cytotoxic, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory activities. Compound 2 was found to display potent in vitro anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting the generation of superoxide anion (IC50 0.22 ± 0.03 μg/mL) and elastase release (IC50 0.48 ± 0.11 μg/mL) in FMLP/CB-induced human neutrophils.  相似文献

现在很多部门都需要通过规则处理海量情报数据,规则的数量一旦达到海量级规模,对规则的处理技术的要求将会变得越来越高,海量规则的优化将是一个十分重要的问题.文中展示了一种海量规则的优化方法.若两个规则网最后的计算结果是一样的,则可以认为这两个规则网是等价的.基于该等价规则模块的变换可以将代价小的规则模块替换掉代价大的规则模块,从而以后可以选择一种代价最小的规则模块.本文提出规则网模块等价替换的5种优化方法,并对其做了相应的证明.通过优化,可以使得海量规则网处于计算代价尽量最小状态,以此减少处理机的计算工作量.分析表明,通过等价规则替换,可以大大提高规则处理效率.  相似文献
