OBJECTIVE: The Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) is an instrument designed to identify hazardous drinkers, harmful drinkers and alchoholics. It was translated into Japanese using the WHOQOL method. The concurrent validity and reliability of the Japanese version of AUDIT were evaluated in a complete health examination. The instrument was also compared with the CAGE questionnaire. METHOD: The subjects were 93 applicants attending for health checks in a human dry dock. They completed self-report questionnaires containing the Core AUDIT and CAGE. and underwent a semi-structured interview conducted by a professional physician. RESULT: From the semi-structured interview, it was determined that 23 of the subjects were problem drinkers and 10 were alcoholics. Analyses indicated that the Core AUDIT was sufficiently sensitive and specific for discriminating problem drinkers and alcoholics. Core AUDIT was also superior to CAGE for discriminating problem drinkers from non-problem drinkers, as well as identifying alcoholics. CONCLUSION: The data suggest that the Japanese version of AUDIT is useful for early detection of hazardous or harmful drinkers.  相似文献

DNA vaccines induce immune responses against antigens synthesized in vivo after direct introduction of the DNA's encoding sequences. This unique approach to immunization may overcome deficits of traditional antigen-based approaches and provide safe and effective prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines. DNA vaccines are also useful as a research tool, such as for production of monoclonal antibodies. Efforts are now focusing on understanding the mechanism of antigen presentation and the adjuvant effect of immunostimulatory CpG motifs in the vectors to aid optimization of DNA vaccines.  相似文献

Application of computers to the problem of plant operation is considered to have a great significance in establishing the man-machine system of high qualityThe roles of human operators seems to be changing along with the extent of computer application in plant operation. The importance of development of the inteligent man-machine interface with the aid of computer is stressed.One of the most crucial problems in plant operation is the system failure, where the systematic diagnositics is required. A rare case of primary pineal melanoma is reported. The patient was a 53-year-old woman who complained of a severe headache. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance images revealed obstructive hydrocephalus caused by a mass lesion in the pineal region. A biopsy was performed through an occipital transtentorial approach. A black pigmented solitary tumor was seen without leptomeningeal dissemination. Histologic examination revealed melanoma. Chemotherapy consisting of dacarbazine, ACNU, vincristine, and interferon was used. Follow-up imaging studies showed dramatic reduction of the tumor without recurrence for 4 years. This report demonstrates that a solitary primary intracranial melanoma without leptomeningeal dissemination and with rare mitoses may yield a good result with chemotherapy.  相似文献

Multi-elemental traces comprising particulate matter in natural water collected during summer in 1978 and 1979 from British Columbia, Canada, were analyzed by α-particle excited X-ray fluorometry. Common elements from all waters examined were Si, Cl, Ca and Fe. The similarity of their distribution in different aquatic environments was statistically analyzed. They were distributed homogeneously in the marine environment but heterogeneously in the freshwater environments. No heavy metals concerned with the environmental standards were detected for all waters examined.  相似文献

The development of functional nanofiber materials with high specific surface area and porosity has been a highly interesting field of research in recent years due to its versatile properties for diverse applications. The combination of nanofibers into material clothes can open up new opportunities to improve comfort performance and thermal management properties. In this work, we demonstrated that the porous lightweight nanofibrous membrane could be coated on the fabric and laminated to improve its thermal comfort. The polyacrylonitrile was electrospun onto the surface of the polyester fabric with three different fineness and laminated with a warp knitted interlining in a controlled condition by sewing/fusing. The effect of the nanofibers diameter, sewing and fusing process on thermal insulation, air permeability, breathability, and water resistance of the obtained three‐layer samples were studied. The results showed that the presence of the nanofibers thin layer could improve the thermal comfort by controlling the studied parameters compared to the external face fabric as control. It was obtained that the fusing technique is more efficient than sewing for this purpose. The fused samples are waterproof and windproof, while instantly venting moisture and had good thermal insulation to protect the body from cold. POLYM. ENG. Moldy and split peanut kernels were separated from peanuts exported from Brazil, Sudan, India and Taiwan by visual inspection. The remaining peanuts from Brazil, Sudan and India were roasted lightly and the skins were removed. Stained peanuts were separated from the others. Aflatoxin was detected in moldy and stained peanuts. There was a positive correlation between % of aflatoxin-contaminated peanut kernels and aflatoxin B1 concentration in whole samples. Aflatoxin concentration of moldy peanuts was higher than that of stained peanut kernels.  相似文献

A VLSI-oriented variable-length pipeline structure for data-driven processors is presented. Ordinary inline pipelines have the problem of minimizing the average total processing time through the pipeline, since subdivision of a function along the pipeline is usually optimized for the most complex operations in spite of the fact that simpler operations need fewer stages. As a solution to this problem, a variable-length pipeline scheme in which data go through only the necessary stages according to information contained within is proposed. The scheme has been implemented on a test chip to verify performance. The chip demonstrated a minimum fall-through time (data transmission time from input to output) of 14.4 ns and a data transmission rate in the pipeline of 59 megaword/s (that is, 1/16.9 ns) as a first-in first-out (FIFO) store. By modifying the data transfer control and allocating the processing functions corresponding to the data interval of 16.9 ns, this scheme is applicable as a high-performance processing unit for data-driven processors  相似文献

We investigated the effect of CO2 on layered Li1+zNi1−xyCoxMyO2 (M = Al, Mn) cathode materials for lithium ion batteries which were prepared by solid-state reactions. Li1+zNi(1−x)/2CoxMn(1−x)/2O2 (Ni/Mn mole ratio = 1) singularly exhibited high storage stability. On the other hand, Li1+zNi0.80Co0.15Al0.05O2 samples were very unstable due to CO2 absorption. XPS and XRD measurements showed the reduction of Ni3+ to Ni2+ and the formation of Li2CO3 for Li1+zNi0.80Co0.15Al0.05O2 samples after CO2 exposure. SEM images also indicated that the surfaces of CO2-treated samples were covered with passivation films, which may contain Li2CO3. The relationship between CO2-exposure time and CO32− content suggests that there are two steps in the carbonation reactions; the first step occurs with the excess Li components, Li2O for example, and the second with LiNi0.80Co0.15Al0.05O2 itself. It is well consistent with the fact that the discharge capacity was not decreased and the capacity retention was improved until the excess lithium is consumed and then fast deterioration occurred.  相似文献

A simulation of the deformation of a workpiece with a U-shaped cross section in a three-roll bending process is performed. Based on the properties of the workpiece, the distribution of curvature and bending moment are calculated in accordance with the displacement and the rotation of the rolls. The relationship between the position of the rolls and the final curvature of the workpiece is obtained. An experiment is performed and the accuracy of the simulation is confirmed.  相似文献
