Solution of the problem of identifying structures of discrete stochastic objects based on the minimum posterior error criterion of distribution densities

The importance of studying methods for solving the problem of identifying structures of discrete stochastic objects has been shown. The general structure of an identification algorithm based on the use of generalized probabilistic criteria has been proposed. The structural identification algorithm is synthesized based on the minimum posterior error criterion of distribution densities. A numerical example that makes it possible to assess the effectiveness of the proposed approach has been considered.     

Non-linear S-box of Nyberg construction with maximal avalanche effect

The full class of irreducible polynomials f(z) of eight degree over all isomorphic representations of Galois field GF(256) is constructed. The set of optimal pairs {f(z), A}, where A is nonsingular affine transformation matrix is founded which allowed to increase significantly amount of Nyberg construction S-boxes, giving maximum avalanche effect.     

The calibration of gradient heat flux sensors

Test benches for calibrating heat flux sensors at temperatures of 500–1000 K are described, and the results of such calibrations are presented.

The article proposes to estimate electromagnetic energy dissipation in a medium using a new processing method of georadar profiles based on continuous wavelet transform. The proposed method applicability to location of inhomogeneities in a highly electroconductive frozen rock mass is illustrated.     

Self-propagating high-temperature synthesis of boron subphosphide B12P2

Two new methods to produce nanopowders of B₁₂P₂ boron subphosphide by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis have been proposed. Bulk polycrystalline B₁₂P₂ with microhardness of H _V = 35(3) GPa and stability in air up to 1300 K has been prepared by sintering these powders at 5.2 GPa and 2500 K.     

EPR Study of Reactivity of Endohedral Metallofullerenes La@C82 and Y@C82

Abstract

Reactivity of La@C₈₂ in the mixture with C₆₀ and C₇₀ vs L₂pt^o, phosphoryl radical ?P(O)(OR)₂, and CF₃COOH has been studied using EPR spectroscopy. Whereas two former reagents did not change EPR spectrum, treatment with CF³COOH in toluene caused the disappearance of minor octet and a new signal was observed. Similar behaviour was found upon treatment of Y@C₈₂ with CF₃COOH. It is interpreted as selective protonation of one isomer of endohedral metallofullerene.
