The charge sharing effect in pixelated CdZnTe (CZT) detectors with a common anode steering grid has been studied. The impact on energy resolution of weighting potential cross-talk and ballistic deficit due to cathode signal shaping has been investigated. A detailed system modeling package considering charge induction, electronic noise, pulse shaping, and ASIC triggering procedures has been developed to study the characteristics of common-grid CZT detectors coupled to the VAS_UM/TAT4 ASIC. A framework is presented for analyzing the inelastic behavior and fracture of polymer matrix composites. Physics-based viscoplastic constitutive equations are used and supplemented with a matrix cracking model and an energy-based debonding model. The capabilities of the framework are illustrated by finite-element solutions of boundary-value problems under plane strain conditions using the unit-cell concept. Multimodal imaging probes have attracted the interest of ongoing research, for example, for the surgical removal of tumors. Modular synthesis approaches allow the construction of hybrid probes consisting of a radiotracer, a fluorophore and a targeting unit. We present the synthesis of a new asymmetric bifunctional cyanine dye that can be used as a structural and functional linker for the construction of such hybrid probes. 68Ga-DOTATATE, a well-characterized radiopeptide targeting the overexpressed somatostatin receptor subtype 2 (SSTR2) in neuroendocrine tumors, was labeled with our cyanine dye, thus providing additional information along with the data obtained from the radiotracer. We tested the SSTR2-targeting and imaging properties of the resulting probe 68Ga-DOTA-ICC-TATE in vitro and in a tumor xenograft mouse model. Despite the close proximity between dye and pharmacophore, we observed a high binding affinity towards SSTR2 as well as elevated uptake in SSTR2-overexpressing tumors in the positron emission tomography (PET) scan and histological examination. 相似文献

In an ongoing effort to discover an effective, topical, dual‐function, non‐surfactant contraceptive vaginal microbicide, a novel series of 2,2′‐disulfanediylbis(3‐(substituted‐1‐yl)propane‐2,1‐diyl) disubstituted‐1‐carbodithioates were designed by using a bioisosterism approach. Thirty‐three compounds were synthesized, and interestingly, most demonstrated multiple activities: they were found to be spermicidal at a minimal effective concentration of 1–0.001 %, trichomonacidal against drug‐susceptible and resistant Trichomonas strains at minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) ranges of 10.81–377.64 and 10.81–754.14 μM , respectively, and fungicidal at MIC 7.93–86.50 μM . These compounds were also found to be non‐cytotoxic to human cervical (HeLa) epithelial cells and vaginal microflora (Lactobacilli) in vitro. The most promising compound, 2,2′‐disulfanediylbis(3‐(pyrrolidin‐1‐yl)propane‐2,1‐diyl)dipyrrolidine‐1‐carbodithioate ( 5 ), exhibited spermicidal activity 15‐fold higher than that of the marketed spermicide Nonoxynol‐9 (N‐9) and also demonstrated microbicidal potency. The physicochemical and fatty acid compositions of seed oil extracted from Thunbergia fragrans were determined. The oil content, free fatty acids, peroxide value, saponification value and iodine value were 21.70 %, 2.25 % (as oleic acid), 9.6 (mequiv. O2/kg), 191.71 (mg KOH/g) and 127.84 (g/100 g oil) respectively. The fatty acid profiles of the methyl esters showed the presence of 90.16 % unsaturated fatty acids and 9.84 % saturated fatty acids. Palmitoleic acid, which is usually found in marine foods and is unique in seed oils of botanical origin, was the major component (79.24 %). The oil can also be used in industries for the preparation of liquid soaps, shampoos and alkyd resin. 相似文献

A previously developed conceptual framework for interpretation of fatigue of polymer matrix composites (PMCs) is revisited for the purpose of the interpretation of fatigue in metal matrix composites (MMCs). With appropriate modifications, the basic features in the mechanisms based fatigue life diagrams of PMCs are found to hold for MMCs as well. Fatigue data for different MMC systems are examined with the interpretative framework and some observed trends are clarified. Thepla is Indian unleavened flatbread made from whole-wheat flour with added spices and vegetables. In the present study, effect of addition of various emulsifiers such as sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate (SSL), di acetyl tartaric acid ester of monoglyceride (DATEM) and glycerol mono-stearate (GMS) were studied. Further hydrocolloids (guar gum, carrageenan) and modified polysaccharides [hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) and carboxymethyl cellulose] were added at the concentration ranging from 0.25 to 1 % on the basis of whole wheat flour to prepared the doughs. These thepla doughs were analyzed for rheology and theplas were analyzed for tear force. Additives helped in improvement of dough and thepla quality. Guar gum increased dough stickiness and strength to the highest (31.12 and 1.76 g respectively). Also, guar gum decreased tear force value of thepla to 208.4 g. Tear force was found to be increasing with the duration of storage. Highest improvement in thepla dough and quality was obtained by the addition of guar gum at 0.75 % which retained the softest texture of thepla. 相似文献

Inactivation of Escherichia coli in liquids was carried out using power ultrasound. Parameters examined included amplitude levels (0.4 µm, 7.5 µm, 37.5 µm), treatment time, cell condition (non-adapted cells, acid adapted cells), liquid media (TSB, model orange juice and model apple juice) and E. coli strain (ATCC 25922, NCTC 12900). The efficacy of ultrasound treatment was found to be a function of amplitude level, treatment time and media (p < 0.05). The kinetics of inactivation followed zero order kinetics (R > 0.95), with the highest inactivation achieved using an amplitude of 37.5 µm. The D-values of E. coli 25922 at all amplitudes in model orange juice were not significantly different than in TSB media. However, at 0.4 µm and 37.5 µm amplitude D-values of E. coli 12900 were significantly different in model orange juice compared to TSB media. When efficacy of ultrasound was assessed in model apple juice and phosphate buffered saline treatment times were significantly reduced by comparison with TSB. Inactivation of E. coli was found to be influenced by strain, prior acid adaptation and suspension liquid, but the effect was negated at the higher amplitude levels.
