Aiming for the simultaneous realization of constant gain, accurate input and output impedance matching and minimum noise figure (NF) over a wide frequency range, the circuit topology and detailed design of wide broadband low noise amplifier (LNA) are presented in this paper. A novel 2.5–3.1 GHz wide-band LNA with unique characteristics has been presented. Its design and layout are done by TSMC 0.18  \(\upmu \hbox {m}\) technology. Common gate stage has been used to improve input matching. In order to enhance output matching and reduce the noise as well, a buffer stage is utilized. Mid-stages which tend to improve the gain and reverse isolation are exploited. The proposed LNA achieves a power gain of 15.9 dB, a NF of 3.5 dB with an input return loss less than \(-\) 11.6, output return loss of \(-\) 19.2 to \(-\) 19 and reverse isolation of \(-\) 38 dB. The LNA consumes 54.6 mW under a supply voltage of 2 V while having some acceptable characteristics.  相似文献

The isothermal crystallization behavior and morphology of a polypropylene (PP)‐based copolymer, a metallocene‐prepared linear low‐density polyethylene (M‐LLDPE) and their three 10/90, 30/70 and 50/50 M‐LLDPE/PP blends have been investigated. The PP and M‐LLDPE contained 5 ethylene and 3.3 mol% hexene‐1 as a comonomer, respectively. Isothermal crystallization studies revealed a different temperature‐dependence on crystallization for M‐LLDPE, PP and their blends and the crystallization half‐life for the M‐LLDPE was higher than either PP or the blends at a certain temperature. The PP‐rich blends also showed a quite similar crystallization rate to that of PP. Investigations on the variation of spherulite growth rate of PP in the blends at different temperatures revealed no significant change and was quite independent of the amount of M‐LLDPE being employed. The morphology studies revealed that the nucleation densities of the PP spherulites decreased by introducing M‐LLDPE into PP and the M‐LLDPE remained as discrete droplets dispersed throughout the PP spherulites. This article presents a low-pass sigma-delta modulator for Analogue-to-Digital conversion. The circuit uses a switched-current technique which presents a well known drawback called clock feedthrough. This phenomenon induces an error on the output signal value. In order to cancel the clock feedthrough effect, we use a new method based on a current feedback loop. The circuit is designed in 0.8 μm AMS “Austria Mikro Systems” single poly CMOS process. Measurements of the modulator are performed under A/D converters characterisation system, and show 55 dB dynamic range at 2.048 MHz sampling rate with 8 kHz input frequency bandwidth. The hydrodynamic characteristics of propeller-induced toroidal flow in a loop reactor were investigated by performing an RTD analysis. The experimental determination of circulation time allows the calculation of the mean axial velocity with respect to the rotational speed of the impeller. RTD measurements are interpreted with the aid of the dispersion plug flow model, and it is shown that axial dispersion is relatively weak in the torus reactor. The mixing time was also determined experimentally and related to the circulation time. A direct relationship between mixing time and axial dispersion coefficient has been established, leading to a correlation for the mixing time in a torus reactor.  相似文献

Temperature‐responsive polymers have become increasingly attractive as carrier for the injectable drug delivery systems. In the present work, we have studied the preparation of poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide‐acrylamide‐vinilpyrrolidone) (NIPAAm‐AAm‐VP terpolymer) nanoparticulated terpolymer and its blend with poly(lactide‐co‐glycolide, PLGA; molar ratio of lactide/glycolid 1/3). Thermosensitive terpolymer, poly(NIPAAm‐AAm‐VP) was prepared by free‐radical polymerization in aqueous solution. The nanoparticles of poly(NIPAAm‐AAm‐VP) and its blend with PLGA containing naltrexone were prepared using the evaporation and w/o emulsion‐solvent evaporation methods, respectively. Nanoparticles prepared from terpolymer‐PLGA blend at low polymer concentration (5%) shows larger particle size (>300 nm) and higher drug content%. Various types of nanoparticles showed a burst release of less than 10% after 24 h . The results suggest that by regulating different variables, desired release profiles of naltrexone can be achieved using a blend of PLGA‐poly(NIPAAm‐AAm‐VP) nanoparticulate system. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. H2S removal from an off‐gas stream was performed in a spray column by H2S reactive absorption into a NaOH solution. The individual and interactive effects of three independent operating variables on the percentage of absorbed H2S were investigated: the initial pH of the scrubbing solution, the initial scrubbing solution temperature, and the volumetric liquid‐to‐gas ratio. The optimum operating variables were determined by response surface methodology (RSM) attaining a percentage of absorbed H2S of 98.7 ± 0.2 %. Additionally, the process performance was modeled by an artificial neural network (ANN) to predict the percentage of absorbed H2S. The results showed that the experimental data agreed better with the ANN model than with the RSM results.  相似文献

Once the performance characteristics of a system have been determined, engineers are often faced with the task of identifying the critical components. The objective of this identification is to prioritise improvements in the systems and the efforts to bring these about in the areas that will have the most effect on the system’s performance. Availability is an important metric, used to assess the performance of complex systems. Having the availability importance measure (AIM), which determines the importance of items regarding the availability of the system, can help designers and managers to improve performance and minimise the life cost of the system. This paper has developed an AIM for complex systems. Thereafter, the application of the developed importance measure is illustrated by a case study.  相似文献
