This paper presents a method and architecture to analyze streaming media and multimedia conferencing traffic. Our method is based on detecting the transport protocol and port numbers that are dynamically assigned during the setup between communicating parties. We then apply such information to analyze traffic generated by the most popular streaming media and multimedia conferencing applications, namely, Windows Media, Real Networks, QuickTime, SIP and H.323. We also describe a prototype implementation of a traffic monitoring and analysis system that uses our method and architecture.  相似文献

We propose an efficient scheme for camera motion characterization in MPEG‐compressed video. The proposed scheme detects six types of basic camera motions through threshold‐based qualitative interpretation, in which fixed thresholds are applied to motion model parameters estimated from MPEG motion vectors (MVs). The efficiency and robustness of the scheme are validated by the experiment with real compressed video sequences.  相似文献

A novel reconfigurable microstrip antenna with switchable polarization sense is proposed. The proposed antenna has a simple structure, consisting of a corner-truncated square radiating patch, four small triangular conductors, and a microstrip line feed. Using independently biased PIN diodes on the patch, it can produce linear polarization, or left- or right-hand circular polarization according to bias voltages. From the measured results, low cross-polarization levels when operated in the linear state and good axial ratios in the circular state are observed.  相似文献

This letter integrates the tracking robustness of two-degrees-of-freedom control and fast dynamic response of flux-based, pulse-width modulation to develop a new current controller for high performance, three-phase electronic converter control. Theoretical analysis shows that the controller can simultaneously achieve good steady-state, transient and harmonic performance, which are challenges not previously met by existing current controllers reported in the literature. Experimental results are presented to verify the performance and practicality of the proposed controller.  相似文献

This paper describes the fabrication and evaluation of folic acid (FA)‐conjugated nanodiamond (ND) nanoclusters for selective photothermal tumor therapy. ND nanoclusters with surface carboxyl groups are aminated using ethylenediamine and conjugated with FA via carbodiimide chemistry. The temperature of an aqueous ND dispersion (10 μg mL?1) is increased to 54 °C upon laser exposure for 5 min. FA‐ND nanoclusters are preferentially taken up by KB cells (folate receptor positive) compared to WI‐38 (folate receptor negative) cells, suggesting specificity for tumor cells that overexpress folate receptors. Cell viability tests reveal that FA‐ND nanoclusters effectively and selectively ablate KB cells upon near‐infrared (NIR) laser exposure. In addition, fluorescence microscopy images confirm that only KB cells treated with FA‐ND nanoclusters are ablated in a spot (200 μm in diameter) by NIR laser exposure. In an animal model, a large amount of FA‐ND nanoclusters is accumulated into tumor tissue, resulting in dramatically reduced tumor volume post‐NIR laser exposure as compared to ND nanoclusters.  相似文献

There is a great need for silicon microelectrodes that can simultaneously monitor the activity of many neurons in the brain. However, one of the existing processes for fabricating silicon microelectrodes-reactive-ion etching in combination with anisotropic KOH etching-breaks down at the wet-etching step for device release. Here we describe a modified wet-etching sidewall-protection technique for the high-yield fabrication of well-defined silicon probe structures, using a Teflon shield and low-pressure chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD) silicon nitride. In the proposed method, a micro-tab holds each individual probe to the central scaffold, allowing uniform anisotropic KOH etching. Using this approach, we obtained a well-defined probe structure without device loss during the wet-etching process. This simple method yielded more accurate fabrication and an improved mechanical profile.  相似文献

Recently, graphene-based organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) were successfully demonstrated using graphene as anodes. However, the graphene electrodes have not been utilized for polymer light emitting diodes (PLEDs) yet, although the simpler device structure and the solution-based fabrication process of PLEDs are expected to be more advantageous in terms of time and cost. Here we demonstrate high-performance polymer light emitting diodes (PLEDs) with simple two-layer structures using interface-engineered single-layer graphene films as anodes. The single-layer graphene synthesized by chemical vapor deposition methods was transferred onto a glass substrate utilizing an elastic stamp, and its work function was engineered by varying the duration and the power of ultraviolet ozone (UVO) treatment. Thus, we were able to optimize the contact between silver electrodes and the graphene anodes, leading to the considerable enhancement of light-emitting performance.  相似文献

A ZnO nanoarchitecture, i.e., ZnO nanosheet (NS) framework, is demonstrated to be a promising electron acceptor and direct electron transport matrix for polymer‐inorganic hybrid solar cells. The ZnO NS framework is constructed on nanoneedles/indium tin oxide substrate via a room‐temperature chemical bath deposition (RT CBD). The framework morphology can be simply tailored by varying the concentration of precursor solution in the RT CBD. The ZnO nanoarchitecture with an appropriate free space between the NSs is consequently demonstrated to facilitate poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT) infiltration, resulting in superior interface properties, i.e., more efficient charge separation and less charge recombination, in the hybrid. Moreover, apart from the characteristics similar to the ZnO nanorod (NR) array, including vertical feature and single crystalline structure, the ZnO NS framework exhibits a slightly larger absorption edge and a faster electron transport rate. A notable efficiency of 0.88% is therefore attained in the ZnO NS‐P3HT hybrid solar cell, which is higher than that of the ZnO NR‐P3HT hybrid solar cell.  相似文献

A photomultiplication (PM)-type organic photodetector (OPD) that exploits the ionic motion in CsPbI3 perovskite quantum dots (QDs) is demonstrated. The device uses a QD monolayer as a PM-inducing interlayer and a donor–acceptor bulk heterojunction (BHJ) layer as a photoactive layer. When the device is illuminated, negative ions in the CsPbI3 QD migrate and accumulate near the interface between the QDs and the electrode; these processes induce hole injection from the electrode and yield the PM phenomenon with an external quantum efficiency (EQE) >2000% at a 3 V applied bias. It is confirmed that the ionic motion of the CsPbI3 QDs can induce a shift in the work function of the QD/electrode interface and that the dynamics of ionic motion determines the response speed of the device. The PM OPD showed a large EQE-bandwidth product >106 Hz with a −3 dB frequency of 125 kHz at 3 V, which is one of the highest response speeds reported for a PM OPD. The PM-inducing strategy that exploits ionic motion of the interlayer is a potential approach to achieving high-efficiency PM OPDs.  相似文献

Adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) is a powerful technique to enhance the link performance by adjusting the transmission power, channel coding rates and modulation levels according to channel state information. In order to efficiently utilize the AMC scheme, an accurate signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) value is normally required for determining the AMC level. In this paper, we propose a simple method to represent the SNR values for maximum likelihood (ML) detector in multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems. By analyzing the relation between the upper bound and the lower bound of the ML detector performance, we introduce an efficient way to determine the SNR for the ML receiver. Based on the proposed SNR representation, an AMC scheme for single antenna systems can be extended to MIMO systems with ML detector. From computer simulations, we confirm that the proposed SNR representation allows us to achieve almost the same system throughput as the optimum AMC systems in frequency selective channels with reduced complexity.  相似文献
