Nanosheets have thicknesses on the order of nanometers and planar dimensions in the micrometer range. Nanomaterials that are capable of converting reversibly between 2D nanosheets and 3D structures in response to specific triggers can enable construction of nanodevices. Supra‐molecular lipid nanosheets and their triggered conversions to 3D structures including vesicles and cups are reported. They are produced from lipid vesicles upon addition of amphiphilic peptides and cationic copolymers that act as peptide chaperones. By regulation of the chaperoning activity of the copolymer, 2D to 3D conversions are reversibly triggered, allowing tuning of lipid bilayer structures and functionalities.  相似文献

Photoinduced phase transitions are of special interest in condensed matter physics because they can be used to change complex macroscopic material properties on the ultrafast timescale. Cooperative interactions between microscopic degrees of freedom greatly enhance the number and nature of accessible states, making it possible to switch electronic, magnetic or structural properties in new ways. Photons with high energies, of the order of electron volts, in particular are able to access electronic states that may differ greatly from states produced with stimuli close to equilibrium. In this study we report the photoinduced change in the lattice structure of a charge and orbitally ordered Nd(0.5)Sr(0.5)MnO(3) thin film using picosecond time-resolved X-ray diffraction. The photoinduced state is structurally ordered, homogeneous, metastable and has crystallographic parameters different from any thermodynamically accessible state. A femtosecond time-resolved spectroscopic study shows the formation of an electronic gap in this state. In addition, the threshold-like behaviour and high efficiency in photo-generation yield of this gapped state highlight the important role of cooperative interactions in the formation process. These combined observations point towards a 'hidden insulating phase' distinct from that found in the hitherto known phase diagram.  相似文献

In mammals, oocyte growth and follicular development are known to be regulated by KIT, a tyrosine kinase receptor. Fas is a member of the death receptor family inducing apoptosis. Here, we investigated germ cell survival, oocyte growth and follicular development in KIT-deficient (Wv/Wv:Fas+/+), Fas-deficient (+/+:Fas-/-), and both KIT- and Fas-deficient (Wv/Wv:Fas-/-) mice during fetal and postnatal periods. Further, the ovaries of these mice were transplanted in immunodeficient mice to compare oocyte growth and follicular development under a condition isolated from the extraovarian effects of KIT- and Fas-deficiency. Higher numbers of germ cells were found in the fetal and postnatal ovaries of Fas-deficient mice than in the same-aged wild-type mice. In KIT-deficient mice, ovaries at 13 days postcoitum (dpc) contained 1106+/-72 (n=3) germ cells, but the ovaries contained no oocytes after birth. Twenty-one days after transplantation of the ovaries at 13 dpc, no oocytes/germ cells were found. A higher number of germ cells (3843+/-108; n=3) were observed in the Wv/Wv:Fas-/- genotypes than in Wv/Wv:Fas+/+ mice at 13 dpc. Furthermore, Wv/Wv:Fas-/- mice contained 528+/-91 (n=3) oocytes at 2 days, and follicles developed to the antral stage at 14 days of age. After transplantation of fetal and neonatal ovaries from Wv/Wv:Fas-/- mice, increased numbers of growing oocytes and developing follicles were obtained compared with those in 14-day old ovaries in vivo. These results show that oocytes grow and follicles develop without KIT signaling, although KIT might be essential for the survival of germ cells/oocytes in mice.  相似文献

Bandgap tunable lanthanum niobium oxynitride [LaNb2O7-xNx](1+x)− nanosheet is prepared by the delamination of a Ruddlesden−Popper phase perovskite oxynitride via ion−exchange and two−step intercalation processes. The lanthanum niobium oxynitride nanosheets have a homogeneous thickness of 1.6 nm and exhibit a variety of chromatic colors depending on the nitridation temperature of the parent-layered oxynitride. The bandgap energy of the nanosheets is determined by ultraviolet photoemission spectroscopy, Mott–Schottky, and photoelectrochemical measurements and is found to be tunable in the range of 2.03–2.63 eV. Furthermore, the oxide/oxynitride superlattice structures are fabricated by face−to−face stacking of 2D crystals using oxynitride [LaNb2O7-xNx](1+x)− and oxide [Ca2Nb3O10] nanosheets as building blocks. Moreover, the superlattices-like restacked oxynitride/oxide nanosheets hybrid exhibits unique proton conductivity and dielectric properties strongly influenced by the oxynitride nanosheets and enhanced photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation.  相似文献

Indolizidine alkaloids, which have versatile bioactivities, are produced by various organisms. Although the biosynthesis of some indolizidine alkaloids has been studied, the enzymatic machinery for their biosynthesis in Streptomyces remains elusive. Here, we report the identification and analysis of the biosynthetic gene cluster for iminimycin, an indolizidine alkaloid with a 6-5-3 tricyclic system containing an iminium cation from Streptomyces griseus. The gene cluster has 22 genes, including four genes encoding polyketide synthases (PKSs), which consist of eight modules in total. In vitro analysis of the first module revealed that its acyltransferase domain selects malonyl-CoA, although predicted to select methylmalonyl-CoA. Inactivation of seven tailoring enzyme-encoding genes and structural elucidation of four compounds accumulated in mutants provided important insights into iminimycin biosynthesis, although some of these compounds appeared to be shunt products. This study expands our knowledge of the biosynthetic machinery of indolizidine alkaloids and the enzymatic chemistry of PKS.  相似文献
