This study concerns the investigation of dissipation, adsorption, and degradation of triazophos in different soils from Pakistan. These processes help in the disappearance of pesticide from the environment. Gas chromatography was used for dissipation and adsorption analysis while for degradation study mass spectrometer was used in addition of gas chromatography (GC-MS). The dissipation rate of triazophos in three different soils was 90% over 30 days with average half-life of 9.059 days. From dissipation study it was inferred that rate is variable in each soil due to climatic changes, soil nature and soil-pesticide interactions. Adsorption experiment has revealed that the adsorption of this pesticide to soil follows the pseudo first order kinetic model with rate constant value of 0.479/h and Freundlich isotherm with adsorption capacity of 1.832 mol/g. Degradation study has displayed two major metabolites, one is phosphorothioic acid, S-[2-[(1-cyano-1-methylethyl) amino]-2-oxoethyl] O,O-diethyl ester at retention time of 9.136 and the other is sulfotep at 14.304 min. The leaching potential of triazophos was also calculated from its half-life and organic carbon content present in soil which was 1.688 representing it as non leacher pesticide.  相似文献

The effect of a drag-reducing polymer (DRP) in the water phase during horizontal oil–water flow was investigated in a 14 mm ID acrylic pipe. Oil (5.5 mPa s, 828 kg/m3) and a co-polymer (Magnafloc 1011) of polyacrylamide and sodium acrylate were used. Two polymer concentrations were tested, 20 ppm and 50 ppm, made from a 1000 ppm master solution. The results showed a strong effect of DRP on flow patterns. The presence of DRP extended the region of stratified flow and delayed transition to slug flow. The addition of the polymer clearly damped interfacial waves. Annular flow changed in all cases investigated to stratified or dual continuous flow, while slug flow changed in most cases to stratified flow. In the cases where the slug and bubble flow patterns still appeared after the addition of the polymer, the oil slugs and bubbles were seen to flow closer together than in the flow without the polymer. The DRP caused a decrease in pressure gradient and a maximum drag reduction of about 50% was found when the polymer was introduced into annular flow. The height of the interface and the water hold up increased with DRP. There were no large differences on pressure gradient and hold up between the two DRP concentrations. Using a two-fluid model it was found that the addition of the polymer results in a decrease in both the interfacial and the water wall shear stresses.  相似文献

HLA antigens were examined by microdroplet lymphocyte cytotoxicity in 31 patients with Sj?grens syndrome. Fifty percent of 22 Causcasian patients (7 of 17 females and 4 of 5 males) had HLA-B8, as compared to 21% of 1205 controls (P=0.002). The presence of HLA-B8 was not correlated with parotid salivary flow, keratoconjunctivitis sicca, or focus score. Because of its association with a number of autoimmune diseases, including Sj?gren's syndrome, it is suggested that HLA-B8 is genetically liked to an immune response gene(s) that predisposes the individual to autoimmune phenomena. The expression of autoimmunity may be determined by infectious or environmental factors.  相似文献

Prussian blue CsNiCr nanoparticles are used to decorate selected portions of a Si substrate. For successful grafting to take place, the Si surface needs first to be chemically functionalized. Low‐dose focused ion beam patterning on uniformly functionalized surfaces selects those portions that will not participate in the grafting process. Step‐by‐step control is assured by atomic force and high‐resolution scanning electron microscopy, revealing a submonolayer distribution of the grafted nanoparticles. By novel scanning Hall‐probe microscopy, an in‐depth investigation of the magnetic response of the nanoparticles to varying temperature and applied magnetic field is provided. The magnetic images acquired suggest that low‐temperature canted ferromagnetism is found in the grafted nanoparticles, similar to what is observed in the equivalent bulk material.  相似文献

CsNiCr(CN)6 coordination nanoparticles with sizes ranging from 6 to 30 nm are highly diluted in an organic polymer matrix. Their static and dynamic magnetic behaviour allows unravelling of surface anisotropy and interparticle dipolar interaction effects. The single magnetic domain critical size is thus evaluated to be around 22 nm with a blocking temperature of 21 K (at ν = 1 Hz) and an effective energy barrier for the reversal of the magnetization of 426 K.  相似文献

Periodontitis affects around 15 per cent of human adult populations. While periodontal treatment aimed at removing the bacterial cause of the disease is generally very successful, the ability predictably to regenerate the damaged tissues remains a major unmet objective for new treatment strategies. Existing treatments include the use of space-maintaining barrier membranes (guided tissue regeneration), use of graft materials, and application of bioactive molecules to induce regeneration, but their overall effects are relatively modest and restricted in application. The periodontal ligament is rich in mesenchymal stem cells, and the understanding of the signalling molecules that may regulate their differentation has increased enormously in recent years. Applying these principles for the development of new tissue engineering strategies for periodontal regeneration will require further work to determine the efficacy of current experimental preclinical treatments, including pharmacological application of growth factors such as bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) or Wnts, use of autologous stem cell reimplantation strategies, and development of improved biomaterial scaffolds. This article describes the background to this problem, addresses the current status of periodontal regeneration, including the background biology, and discusses the potential for some of these experimental therapies to achieve the goal of clinically predictable periodontal regeneration.  相似文献

India is facing great challenges in its economic development due to the impact on climate change. Energy is the important driver of economy. At present Indian energy sector is dominated by fossil fuel. Due to international pressure for green house gas reduction in atmosphere there is a need of clean energy supply for energy security and sustainable development. The nuclear energy is a sustainable solution in this context to overcome the environmental problem due to fossil fuel electricity generation. This paper examines the implications of penetration of nuclear energy in Indian power sector. Four scenarios, including base case scenario, have been developed using MARKAL energy modeling software for Indian power sector. The least-cost solution of energy mix has been measured. The result shows that more than 50% of the electricity market will be captured by nuclear energy in the year 2045. This ambitious goal can be expected to be achieved due to Indo-US nuclear deal. The advanced nuclear energy with conservation potential scenario shows that huge amounts of CO2 can be reduced in the year 2045 with respect to the business as usual scenario.  相似文献
