In this paper we investigate various issues related to the design of satellite–cellular hybrid systems. First, we review the fundamental problems of channel partitioning and call admission/assignment. Second, we study the impact of different frequency reuse constraints, in both layers, on the optimum channel partitioning. Third, we investigate, analytically and via simulation, the effect of reducing the cell size. We emphasize the blocking‐forced termination probabilities trade‐off for pure cellular and satellite–cellular hybrid systems. Accordingly, an optimization problem with respect to the cell size is formulated. Finally, we search for the optimum dynamic call re‐assignment policy that improves the system capacity at the expense of the complexity associated with tearing down a connection in one system and setting‐up an alternative one in the other system. For a small hybrid system, we characterized the optimum re‐assignment policies that minimize the blocking probability, dropping probability, and a weighted cost function of these probabilities. The aim of this study was to obtain prolonged action by preparing semi-solid matrices (SSM) into hard gelatin capsules using Oxprenolol as a model drug.

SSM formulations were prepared by using different lipophilic and hydrophilic pharmaceutical excipients, polyethylene glycols as channeling agent in the semi solid mass and Gelucires. The release kinetic of drug from these formulations was determined and compared with the commercial preparation in the form of polymeric matrix of this drug.

Among the generally used excipients, we have found that Gelucires were the most appropriate excipients for preparation of SSMs and drug release from these dosage forms can be improved by the method mentioned above depending on quantity and type of channeling agent which was used.  相似文献

An algal-bacterial consortium was tested for the treatment from a coke factory. A Chlorella vulgaris strain and a phenol-degrading Alcaligenes sp. were first isolated from the wastewater treatment plant to serve as inocula in the subsequent biodegradation tests. Batch tests were then conducted with samples from the real wastewater or using a synthetic wastewater containing 325 mg phenol/l and 500 mg NH4+/l as target pollutants. Direct biological treatment of the real wastewater was not possible due to the toxicity of organic compounds. Activated carbon adsorption and UV(A-B)-irradiation were efficient in detoxifying the effluent for subsequent biological treatment as inoculation of pretreated samples with the algal-bacterial consortium was followed by complete phenol removal and NH4+ removal of 45%. Complete phenol removal and 33% NH4+ removal were achieved during the fed-batch treatment of artificial wastewater at 6 d hydraulic retention time (HRT). Under continuous feeding at 3.6 d HRT, phenol and NH4+ removal dropped to 58 and 18%, respectively. However, complete phenol removal and 29% NH4+ removal were achieved when 8 g NaHCO3/l was added to the artificial wastewater to enhance algal growth. This study confirms the potential of solar-based industrial wastewater treatment based on solar-based UV pretreatment followed by algal-bacterial biodegradation.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the derivation of closed-loop Stackelberg (CLS) solutions of a class of continuous-time two-player nonzero-sum differential games characterized by linear state dynamics and quadratic cost functionals. Explicit conditions are obtained for both the finite and infinite horizon problems under which the CLS solution is a representation of the optimal feedback solution of a related team problem which is defined as the joint minimization of the leader's cost function. First, a specific class of representations is considered which depend linearly on the current and initial values of the state, and then the results are extended to encompass a more general class of linear strategies that also incorporate the whole past trajectory. The conditions obtained all involve solutions of linear matrix equations and are amenable to computational analysis for explicit determination of CLS strategies.  相似文献

In this study, annealing influence on crystallization and scratch behavior of neat and multi‐wall carbon nanotube (MWNT) reinforced poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) nanocomposites have been investigated. Crystallization behavior of normal and annealed samples was investigated by using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). Scratch behavior of normal and annealed samples was investigated by using micro scratch tester. In DSC analysis, it was detected that, melting enthalpy of annealed neat PEEK was increased sharply when compared to neat PEEK. Melting enthalpies of annealed PEEK nanocomposites prepared with addition of up to 1 wt% MWNT were increased with a decreased trend. However, nanocomposites with higher contents of MWNTs (>1 wt%) were dramatically affected by annealing process and melting enthalpy decreased sharply. Friction coefficient values of “annealed MWNT reinforced PEEK composites” were found to be lower than “normal PEEK composites.” Annealing process affects scratch hardness of both annealed and MWNT reinforced PEEK. Unlike some lower vertebrates which can completely regenerate their heart, the human heart is a terminally differentiated organ. Cardiomyocytes lost during cardiac injury and heart failure cannot be replaced due to their limited proliferative capacity. Therefore, cardiac injury generally leads to progressive failure. Here, we summarize the latest progress in research on methods to induce cardiomyocyte cell cycle entry and heart repair through the alteration of cardiomyocyte plasticity, which is emerging as an effective strategy to compensate for the loss of functional cardiomyocytes and improve the impaired heart functions.  相似文献

Given the increasing demand for integrated wireless systems in system-on-chip technology, narrow-band low noise amplifier (LNA) designs must be robust against variations in device parameters and passive component values to improve manufacturing yield for high volume applications. In this paper, we develop two design techniques for reducing the impact of component variations on narrow-band LNA performance. The results demonstrate that by increasing the bandwidth of the narrow-band LNA and applying more conservative design constraints, we can mitigate the reliability implications of process variations on impedance matching, gain, and power consumption.  相似文献
