In this article, we present an adaptive color similarity function defined in a modified hue‐saturation‐intensity color space, which can be used directly as a metric to obtain pixel‐wise segmentation of color images among other applications. The color information of every pixel is integrated as a unit by an adaptive similarity function thus avoiding color information scattering. As a direct application we present an efficient interactive, supervised color segmentation method with linear complexity respect to the number of pixels of the input image. The process has three steps: (1) Manual selection of few pixels in a sample of the color to be segmented. (2) Automatic generation of the so called color similarity image (CSI), which is a gray level image with all the gray level tonalities associated with the selected color. (3) Automatic threshold of the CSI to obtain the final segmentation. The proposed technique is direct, simple and computationally inexpensive. The evaluation of the efficiency of the color segmentation method is presented showing good performance in all cases of study. A comparative study is made between the behavior of the proposed method and two comparable segmentation techniques in color images using (1) the Euclidean metric of the a* and b* color channels rejecting L* and (2) a probabilistic approach on a* and b* in the CIE L*a*b* color space. Our testing system can be used either to explore the behavior of a similarity function (or metric) in different color spaces or to explore different metrics (or similarity functions) in the same color space. It was obtained from the results that the color parameters a* and b* are not independent of the luminance parameter L* as one might initially assume in the CIE L*a*b* color space. We show that our solution improves the quality of the proposed color segmentation technique and its quick result is significant with respect to other solutions found in the literature. We investigate the group processes involved in effort estimation in the context of project management. The groups considered are formed by “experts” (people with specific technical competence) and “non-experts” (people with less specific technical competence, usually experts in related fields), because the typically complementary bias of the two classes contribute to a more balanced estimate. In this paper we exploit further the synergies between experts and non-experts in an MCDM framework, aggregating the individual estimates by means of non-additive Choquet integration, and representing the complementary bias by the multiagent interaction structure underlying the capacity. We present some examples and computer simulations whose aggregation results outperform those of the classical weighted mean (additive case), showing lower MMRE (mean magnitude of the relative error between the central estimate and the actual value) and higher HitRate (at which the interval estimate contains the actual value).  相似文献

We investigated the relationships between 11 phenological metrics, topographic shade, and anomalous temperature patterns detected using wavelet analysis in seasonal deciduous forests of south Brazil. To obtain the metrics, we applied the TIMESAT algorithm to the enhanced vegetation index (EVI) from Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS)/Terra. MODIS acquires data from the study area under a large seasonal amplitude in the solar zenith angle (SZA). We evaluated the effect of topography on phenological metrics by correlating the metrics with shaded relief values. To analyse the inter-annual phenological metric variations with anomalous and regular temperature patterns, we calculated standard anomalies for each metric. Finally, we established relationships between the metrics and the minimum, maximum, and mean temperatures from growing seasons that spanned over 10 seasonal cycles between 2002 and 2012. The correlation results with shaded relief showed that the left (LD) and right derivative (RD), small integral (SInt), seasonal amplitude (SA), base level (BL), and maximum VI value (MV) were sensitive to topographic effects. The seasonal cycles with the highest temperatures in the growing season (2006/2007 and 2009/2010) exhibited a delay at the end of the cycle and a higher interval of duration and productivity, which was indicated by the positive standard anomalies for end of season (EOS), length of season (LOS), large integral (LInt), and SInt. We observed a different result for the lowest temperature cycle (2003/2004). The means for these metrics in anomalous seasons differed significantly from the metrics of other regular cycles at the 0.05 significance level using paired t-tests. Statistically significant correlations were observed between the metrics and minimum and mean temperature values of the 10 seasonal cycles.  相似文献

In Brazil, the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) distributes productivity fellowships in research (RS) as a recognition to individuals with outstanding productivity levels in their areas. The aim of this study is to evaluate the scientific production of the Brazilian Pharmacy area, one division of the Health Sciences Great Area of CNPq, considering the profile and productivity levels of RS fellows. The results showed that most of the 156 active RS fellows in 2015 were female, with doctorate completed in the Southeast region (mainly in University of São Paulo) and with research activities developed in the South and Southeast regions. Most of their work was published in journals classified as B1 and B2 Qualis in Pharmacy by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), with high prevalence of publications in local journals and/or specialized on medicinal plants. Besides, they featured much dependence on advising and productivity indexes related to the category and level of RS fellowship. The evolution of such data must be continually evaluated to determine the influence of CNPq productivity fellowships on performance and stratification of researchers in the Pharmacy area in Brazil.  相似文献

The effect of trace quantities of ammonia on oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) on carbon-supported platinum catalysts in perchloric acid solutions is assessed using rotating ring disk electrode (RRDE) technique. The study demonstrates that ammonia has detrimental effects on ORR. The most significant effect takes place in the potential region above 0.7 V vs RHE. The effect is explained by the electrochemical oxidation of ammonia, which blocks Pt active sites and increases the formation of H2O2. This leads to losses in the disk currents and increments in the ring currents. The apparent losses in ORR currents may occur in two ways, namely, through the blocking of the active sites for ORR as well as by generating a small anodic current, which is believed to have a lower contribution. In addition, a detrimental effect of sodium cations in the potential range below 0.75 V vs RHE was demonstrated. This effect is most likely due to the co-adsorption of sodium cations and perchlorate anions on the Pt surface.  相似文献
