A method was developed for the analysis of humic and fulvic acids by size-exclusion chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry using a completely volatile eluent. Humic and fulvic acids were separated into three peaks. These fractions occupied different mass ranges and showed differences in the fine structure of their mass spectra. The low-molecular-weight (LMW) fraction of fulvic acids is most sensitively determined by ESI-MS, and it appears that previous results obtained by infusion-ESI-MS were primarily determined by this fulvic acid fraction. The average molecular weight of this fractions turned out to be lower than that reported from infusion-ESI-MS measurements. Its scan spectra and the product ion spectra of some of its molecular anions perfectly match those previously obtained from whole fulvic acid mixtures. Obviously, a class of well-defined polycarboxylated molecules exist that occurs in all fulvic acid fractions thus far investigated. With decreasing elution time and increasing molecular weight, detection by ESI-MS loses sensitivity as compared to the parallel UV recording, and the fine structure of the scan spectra becomes increasingly uniform for both fulvic and humic acids. The average molecular weight of the HMW fraction exceeds those values calculated from infusion experiments. Scan spectra and product ion spectra of the high-molecular-weight (HMW) fraction of both the humic and the fulvic acids suggest that the HMW fraction consists of several subunits that originate from the LMW fraction.  相似文献

Computational aspects of prospect theory with asset pricing applications   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We develop an algorithm to compute asset allocations for Kahneman and Tversky’s (Econometrica, 47(2), 263–291, 1979) prospect theory. An application to benchmark data as in Fama and French (Journal of Financial Economics, 47(2), 427–465, 1992) shows that the equity premium puzzle is resolved for parameter values similar to those found in the laboratory experiments of Kahneman and Tversky (Econometrica, 47(2), 263–291, 1979). While previous studies like Benartzi and Thaler (The Quarterly Journal of Economics, 110(1), 73–92, 1995), Barberis, Huang and Santos (The Quarterly Journal of Economics, 116(1), 1–53, 2001), and Grüne and Semmler (Asset prices and loss aversion, Germany, Mimeo Bielefeld University, 2005) focussed on dynamic aspects of asset pricing but only used loss aversion to explain the equity premium puzzle our paper explains the unconditional moments of asset pricing by a static two-period optimization problem. However, we incorporate asymmetric risk aversion. Our approach allows reducing the degree of loss aversion from 2.353 to 2.25, which is the value found by Tversky and Kahneman (Journal of Risk and Uncertainty, 5, 297–323, 1992) while increasing the risk aversion from 1 to 0.894, which is a slightly higher value than the 0.88 found by Tversky and Kahneman (Journal of Risk and Uncertainty, 5, 297–323, 1992). The equivalence of these parameter settings is robust to incorporating the size and the value portfolios of Fama and French (Journal of Finance, 47(2), 427–465, 1992). However, the optimal prospect theory portfolios found on this larger set of assets differ drastically from the optimal mean-variance portfolio.  相似文献

Packings of cohesive nanoparticles, that is nanopowders, may be obtained as the result of repeated fragmentation–reagglomeration cycles (Schwager et al. in Phys Rev Lett 100:218002, 2008) such that the resulting sediment reveals a fractal structure. The size distribution of the fragments after a fragmentation step is a superposition of a narrow distribution of large particles (chunks) whose size is determined by the cutting length and a power-law distribution for small particles, representing scale invariant dust. It was shown that the exponent of the power-law, \(\tau \), is in non-trivial relation to the fractal dimension, \(d_f\), via \(d_f(2-\tau )=1\). This poses the question for the structure of the sediment created by repeated fragmentation–reagglomeration cycles when the dust particles are excluded from the reagglomeration step. We found that even in this case, repeated fragmentation–reagglomeration cycles yield a sediment of fractal structure with slightly reduced fractal dimension while the dust exponent, \(\tau \), remains unchanged.  相似文献

Two novel linear control reconfiguration methods for plants subject to actuator failures are described. The common idea is to place a reconfiguration block between the faulty plant and the nominal controller in order to re-route the signals around the broken actuator. The first method uses a computationally simple static reconfiguration block. It recovers the nominal plant input/output-behaviour by assigning the faulty plant the same Markov parameters as the faultless plant. The second method concerns the design of the feedforward part in the virtual actuator using the idea and results of the first approach. The virtual actuator is a dynamical reconfiguration block. Existence conditions and solution algorithms are provided, and it is shown that both approaches guarantee the closed-loop stability if the existence conditions are met. An experimental study demonstrates the practical usability of the proposed approaches.  相似文献

We present an integrated fractional-N low-noise frequency synthesizer for satellite applications. By using two integrated VCOs and combining digital and analog tuning techniques, a PLL lock range from 8 to 12 GHz is achieved. Due to a small VCO fine tuning gain and optimized charge pump output biasing, the phase noise is low and almost constant over the tuning range. All 16 sub-bands show a tuning range above 900 MHz each, allowing temperature compensation without sub-band switching. This makes the synthesizer robust against variations of the device parameters with process, supply voltage, temperature and aging. The measured phase noise is ?87 dBc/Hz and ?106 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz and 1 MHz offset, respectively. In integer-N mode, phase noise values down to ?98 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz and ?111 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset, respectively, were measured.  相似文献

A dual contrast agent for computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was synthesized via microemulsion polymerization. This contrast agent consists of Fe3O4 particles (d = 7 nm) with an iodine-carrying nanopolymeric shell, with overall particle sizes ranging from 50 to 250 nm. 2-Methacryloyloxyethyl(2,3,5-triiodobenzoate) was used as the monomer. Sodium oleate was used as the surfactant and its amount was varied to control the overall particle size. The composite nanoparticles were mainly characterized via dynamic light scattering, with further analyses using transmission electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. The particles provided a highly visible contrast in CT and MR images. A template for biomedical applications was created by adding a comonomer and the particles were further functionalized with the somatostatin analogue Tyr3-octreotate. The particles were tested for specific uptake into somatostatin receptor-positive AR42J cells. The additional uptake of the functionalized particles was investigated. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This article investigates the potential of aluminum oxide nanoparticles for the reduction of process-induced distortions of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP). Therefore the matrix properties, which affect the distortions, are experimentally and mechanistically analyzed in detail at various particle contents. The results clearly show an increasing impact of raised particle content on gelation, chemical and thermal shrinkage, on Young's modulus, as well as on Poisson's ratio. These alterations can be successfully transferred to reduce spring-in of L-shaped CFRP brackets, which are manufactured by infusion technology. However, it is found that particle contents higher than 5 wt % are needed to influence these parameters. For further understanding of the parameters controlling spring-in, a numerical sensitivity analysis is performed by the correlation of various matrix parameters and the induced distortions. The results from a structural simulation reveal that changes in thermal and chemical shrinkage as well as in gelation have a major impact on the distortions, but the modes of action of the particles also have to be taken into consideration. These mechanistical insights about nanoparticle impacts might be a valuable approach to lower or overcome distortions in composite materials in the future. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Summary We operationalize scientific output in a region by means of the number of articles (as in the SciSearch database) per year and technology output by means of the number of patent applications (as in the database of the European Patent Office) per priority year. All informetric analyses were done using the DIALOG online-system. The main research questions are the following: Which scientific and technological fields or topics are most influent within a region and which institutions or companies are mainly publishing articles or holding patents? Do the distributions of regional science and technology fields and of publishing institutions follow the well-known informetric function? Are there - as it is expected - only few fields and few institutions which dominate the region? Is there a connection between the economic power of a region and the regional publication and patent output? Examples studied in detail are seven German regions: Aachen, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Köln (Cologne), Leipzig - Halle - Dessau, München (Munich), and Stuttgart. Three different indicators were used, science and technology attraction of a region (number of scientific articles and patents), science and technology intensity (articles and patents per 1,000 inhabitants), and science and technology density (articles and patents per 1 billion EURO gross value added). Top region concerning both attraction and intensity is Munich, concerning density it is Aachen.  相似文献
