We report on the terahertz emission from femtosecond-laser-irradiated GaAs layers grown on Si(100) and Si(111) substrates. The results show that the terahertz emission from GaAs on Si is stronger than that of a semi-insulating bulk GaAs crystal. This increase is attributed to the strain field at the GaAs/Si interface. In the GaAs of the Si(100) sample, the stronger terahertz emission is observed compared with GaAs on Si(111). Moreover, the effect of changing the doping type of the Si substrate from n-type to semi-insulating was also studied and it was found that the terahertz emission intensity of GaAs on semi-insulating Si(100) is stronger than that of GaAs on n-type Si(100). Finally, strong terahertz emission from GaAs on semi-insulating Si(100) was observed not only in the reflection geometry but also in the transmission geometry. Tandem organic solar cells, in which two single p+in+-homojunctions are connected by a heavily-doped n+p+-ohmic interlayer, were formed in co-deposited films consisting of fullerene and α-sexithiophene simply by doping with molybdenum oxide and cesium carbonate. Resistance spot welding technologies are widely used in industry. A highly reliable monitoring method is needed to effectively weld and create a robust structure. We developed a combined technique using magnetic flux penetration and an eddy current test (ECT). The magnetic measuring system consists of a pair of magnetic probes having an induction coil and detection coil, a lock-in amplifier, a current source, and a personal computer. The magnetic flux penetration through both surfaces at the weld was measured at low frequency. The ECT was performed at each surface with multiple frequencies. The magnetic flux penetration method showed good correlation with the destructive shear test because of the change in permeability due to the formation of the nugget. The ECT method reflected the depth profile of the nugget and was effective for determining a defective product. 相似文献

This paper proposes a novel current‐source multilevel inverter, which is based on a current‐source half‐bridge topology. Multilevel inverters are effective for reducing harmonic distortion in the output voltage and the output current. However, the multilevel inverters require many gate drive power supplies to drive switching devices. The gate drive circuits using a bootstrap circuit and a pulse transformer can reduce the number of the gate drive power supplies, but the pulse width of the output PWM waveform is limited. Furthermore, high‐speed power switching devices are indispensable to create a high‐frequency power converter, but various problems, such as high‐frequency noise, arise due to the high dv/dt rate, especially in high‐side switching devices. The proposed current‐source multilevel inverter is composed of a common emitter topology for all switching devices. Therefore, it is possible to operate it with a single power supply for the gate drive circuit, which allows stabilizing the potential level of all the drive circuits. 本文介绍的联用分析系统是将超临界流体萃取(SFE)系统与超高效液相色谱(UHPLC)系统联用。使用在线SFE-UHPLC系统,可以完成对胡椒粉中胡椒碱成分的高速萃取和分析。整个分析过程包括萃取时间在内只需要7min。将此方法的萃取回收率与其他萃取方法进行比较,SFE方法得到的回收率与其他方法相当。这种在线SFE-UHPLC方法操作简单,分析速度快。这一方法对于分析固体样品中的化合物组分非常有用,可以有效避免繁琐的样品预处理过程。 相似文献

Natural killer (NK) T cells are well known to play important roles in both tumor rejection and the defense against infectious. Therefore, the antitumor potential of NKT cell-activating antigens have been the focus for the development of NKT cell-based immunotherapies. Up to now, several studies have revealed that the administrations of glycolipids (e.g. α-galactosylceramide) can successfully treat certain metastatic tumors. However, liver injuries appeared upon the application of these antigens. We previously examined the potential of using β-glucosylceramide (β-GlcCer) to inhibit tumor metastasis to the liver. The aim of this study was to determine the antimetastatic effects of β-GlcCer and its impact on the activation of NKT cells. Intraperitoneal administration of β-GlcCer enhanced the production of interferon-γ from hepatic lymphocytes containing NKT cells, and increased the cytotoxicity of hepatic lymphocytes against tumor cells. Moreover, β-GlcCer administration suppressed the hepatic metastasis of tumors in wild type (WT) mice, but not in CD1d (-/-) or Jα18 (-/-) mice. The drawback associated with the other glycolipids in liver injury was not noted in WT mice treated with the continuous daily administration of β-GlcCer for 2 weeks. The present study demonstrated that β-GlcCer treatment activates invariant NKT cells, thus resulting in the inhibition of tumor metastasis. 相似文献

The characteristics of an APLF80+3Ce scintillator are presented. Its sufficiently fast decay profile, low afterglow, and an improved light output compared to the recently developed APLF80+3Pr, were experimentally demonstrated. This scintillator material holds promise for applications in neutron imaging diagnostics at the energy regions of 0.27 MeV of DD fusion down-scattered neutron peak at the world's largest inertial confinement fusion facilities such as the National Ignition Facility and the Laser Me?gajoule. 相似文献

Making use of a technique developed by Hu, Kumar, and Maki, we calculate the energies associated with linear singularities, such as vortex lines and disgyrations, and linear structures, such as the Mermin-Ho (MH) and Anderson-Toulouse (AT) structures in superfluid3He-A.
