This paper reports the results of a durability study of the effects of exposing externally-bonded CFRP-concrete beams to three elevated water temperatures (25 °C, 40 °C and 60 °C). The effects of the heated water environments on the adhesive bonding layer between the CFRP and concrete beams were evaluated by quantifying: (1) the changes of delaminations within the adhesive bonding layer, (2) the changes in resistance to direct shear force and (3) the changes of failure mode distribution. Before the exposure, the condition of the adhesive bonding layer was inspected by infrared thermography (IRT). After exposure, the deterioration of the same bonding layer and failure mode distributions were measured by analyzing the visual photos on the failed CFRP strips. The failure modes were found to be affected largely by the combined effect of elevated temperature and moisture ingress, in which three types were identified: failure at concrete beams, at adhesive bonding layer and interface between CFRP strip and concrete. With these methods, results of 54 specimens show that the adhesive bonding layers of all the specimens had gradually deteriorated in the 40 °C and 60 °C water baths. This deterioration was due to the weakening of the adhesive bonding layers when the glass transition temperature (Tg) or the heat distortion temperature (HDT) was approached or even exceeded, and gradual development of delaminations at adhesive bonding layer.  相似文献

This study reports a heuristic genetic algorithm to determine the decoding parameters in a first-order ambisonic system for reconstructing a three-dimensional sound field with an arbitrary quad speaker configuration. On this basis, a hardware prototype has been developed using a field programmable gate array (FPGA) to decode ambisonic signals that are encoded in the standard B-format. To allow direct coupling with digital audio sources, the input and output channels of the decoder are implemented with the I2S interface. Evaluations reveal that the decoding parameters derived by this method are superior to existing approaches in terms of flexibility in loudspeaker configuration and optimisation of some of the essential factors in surround sound reconstruction.  相似文献

This paper describes an improvement of borrowing channel assignment (BCA) for patterned traffic load by using the short-term traffic prediction ability of cellular probabilistic self-organizing map (CPSOM). The fast growing cellular mobile systems demand more efficient and faster channel allocation techniques today. In case of patterned traffic load, the traditional BCA methods are not efficient to further enhance the performance because heavy-traffic cells cannot borrow channels from their neighboring cells with light or medium traffic that may have unused nominal channels. The performance can be increased if the short-term traffic load can be predicted. The predicted results can then be used for channel re-assignment. Therefore, the unused nominal channels of the light-or-medium-traffic cells can be transferred to the heavy-traffic cells that need more nominal channels. In this paper, CPSOM is used online for traffic prediction. In this sense, the proposed CPSOM-based BCA method is able to enhance the performance for patterned traffic load compared with the traditional BCA methods. Simulation results corroborate that the proposed method enables the system to work with better performance for patterned traffic load than the traditional BCA methods.  相似文献

A 54 year-old man had symptoms of acute right hemispheric cerebral ischemia. He was initially considered for participation in a trial of early thrombolysis in stroke, but an innominate artery embolus was found with no apparent arterial source. The embolus was removed by means of a combined brachial and carotid bifurcation approach to protect the cerebral vasculature from embolic fragmentation during extraction. Further investigation revealed deep venous thrombosis, evidence of pulmonary emboli, and a patent foramen ovale, supporting a diagnosis of paradoxic embolus. Additional treatment included anticoagulation and placement of an inferior vena caval filter. The unusual condition of paradoxic embolus is reviewed, and the management of this patient is discussed.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to use high resolution (HR) magnetic resonance (MR) images of the calcaneus to investigate the trabecular structure of patients with and without osteoporotic hip fractures and to compare these techniques with bone mineral density (BMD) in differentiating fracture and nonfracture patients. Axial and sagittal HR MR images of the calcaneus were obtained in 50 female (23 postmenopausal patients with osteoporotic hip fractures and 27 postmenopausal controls). A three-dimensional gradient-echo sequence was used with a slice thickness of 500 micron and in plane resolution of 195 x 195 micron. Texture analysis was performed using morphological features, analogous to standard histomorphometry and fractal dimension. Additionally, BMd measurements of the hip (dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry) were obtained in all patients. Significant differences between both patient groups were obtained using morphological parameters and fractal dimension as well as hip BMD (p < 0.05). Odds ratios for the texture parameters apparent (app.) bone volume/total volume and app. trabecular separation were higher than for hip BMD. Receiver operator characteristic values of texture measures and hip BMD were comparable. In conclusion, trabecular structure measures derived from HR MR images of the calcaneus can differentiate between postmenopausal women with and without osteoporotic hip fractures.  相似文献

We have examined the immunolocalization of beta 1-integrin during feather development in the spino-lumbar tract of the backskin from normal and scaleless chick embryos. beta 1-integrin appears during early feather development in three distinct phases which correspond to important developmental events. The first phase (5-5 1/2 days of incubation; Hamburger and Hamilton [H.H.] stage 27) represents the period prior to the formation of dermis. During this phase, beta 1-integrin antiserum labels mesenchymal cells located in the central region of the spino-lumbar tract where the initiation site for feather development is located. The second phase (5 1/2-7 1/2 days of incubation; H.H. stages 28-32) corresponds to the period during which dermis is formed. The cells that make up the dermis are readily distinguished by their lack of beta 1-integrin immunostaining. The third phase (7 1/2-10 days of incubation; H.H. stages 33-36) begins with the sudden appearance of beta 1-integrin in the central and lateral regions of the dermis. The pattern of beta 1-integrin immunostaining in scaleless backskin becomes different from that of normal backskin during this phase. In normal backskin the dermal condensations of feather germs are not labeled with the beta 1-integrin antiserum. This produces a heterogeneous immunostaining pattern very similar to the pattern seen for Type I collagen (Mauger et al. [1982] Dev. Biol. 94:93-105). In contrast, homogeneous immunostaining is observed in the dermis of scaleless backskin. The initial time of appearance, manner of appearance, and pattern of integrin expression in the third phase suggest that beta 1-integrin may be involved in the stabilization of the feather pattern. We also observed the appearance of beta 1-integrin on the epidermal basal cells during the time of feather follicle formation. The beta 1-integrin antiserum reacts strongly with the baso-lateral surfaces of normal basal cells, yet the basal surfaces of the scaleless basal cells are unstained. This lack of immunostaining along the basal surfaces of the scaleless basal cells may relate to the abnormal adhesion between the epidermis and dermis in scaleless backskin.  相似文献

Although work empowerment is a common theme in the current nursing systems literature, few systematic programs of research have studies the phenomenon from an explicitly theoretical framework. The author summarizes the results of a series of studies in a program of research designed to test Rosabeth Moss Kanter's Structural Theory of Organizational Behavior in the nursing population.
