We report about new easy-to-synthesize deep blue light-emitting organic materials. Various substituted low-molecular-weight triphenylene-derivatives have been prepared in a one-step procedure and are easily available on large scale and high purity. Furthermore, the synthesis of an oxetane functionalized, photo-crosslinkable triphenylene-based emitter material with enhanced film-forming properties is described. The low-molecular-weight emitters were vacuum-deposited, whereas the photo-crosslinkable emitter material derivative was processed from solution. The optical and electrical properties of the compounds were investigated. The corresponding photoluminescence emission spectra exhibit λmax,ems values around 400 nm. Organic light-emitting multi layer devices were fabricated and characterized. OLED devices from these molecules emit deep blue light of 436–456 nm. 相似文献

A novel Self‐assembled Monolayer (SAM) forming molecule bisjulolidyldisulfide (9,9'‐disulfanediylbis(2,3,6,7‐tetrahydro‐1H,5H‐pyrido[3,2,1‐ij]quinoline)) is demonstrated which lowers the work function of metal surfaces by ≈1.2 eV and can be deposited in a 1 min process. Bisjulolidyldisulfide exists in a stable disulfide configuration prior to surface exposure and can therefore be stored, handled, and processed in ambient conditions. SAM from bisjulolidyldisulfide are deposited on metal surfaces (Au and Ag), including inkjet printed Ag on polyethylene terephthalate substrates, investigated by photoelectron and infrared spectroscopy, and used as electrodes in n‐type organic field effect transistor (OFET). Treatment of electrodes in OFET devices with with bisjulolidyldisulfide‐SAMs reduces the contact resistance by two orders of magnitude and improves shelf life with respect to pristine metal electrodes. The presented treatment also increases the surfaces wettability and thereby facilitates solution processing of a subsequent layer. These beneficial properties for device performance, processing, and stability, combined with ease of preparation and handling, render this SAM‐forming molecule an excellent candidate for the high‐throughput production of flexible electronic devices. 相似文献

Monodisperse, indium doped zinc oxide (IZO) nanoparticles were prepared via the polyol-mediated synthesis and incorporated into regular and inverted poly-(3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl) and [6,6]-phenyl C61-butyric acid methyl ester organic photovoltaic devices as buffer layers between the active layer and the cathode. Efficient hole blocking at the particle buffer layers leads to an enhanced open-circuit voltage of the solar cells. This effect is even more pronounced for inverted device architectures. Device degradation studies revealed a solar cell performance reduction upon sample exposition to ambient atmosphere. However, this degradation is fully reversible under UV illumination. In addition, the n-doped IZO particles form suitable charge carrier transport layers for an efficient recombination in an intermediate recombination zone in tandem solar cells. Accordingly we have fabricated fully solution-processed tandem solar cells and investigated their optoelectronic properties. 相似文献

With respect to a first market introduction, one advantage of dye solar cell (DSC) modules is the combination of photovoltaic (PV) solar electricity with decorative aspects. We report on the recent results achieved in the frame of the German project ColorSol. The project focuses on the application field of building-integrated PVs (facades, PV-glazing, etc.). Design concepts, as well as scenarios for the application of the DSC technology in architecture and facade planning are developed and the application potential is quantified in cooperation with potential users. Prototypes of glass facade elements (70 cm×200 cm) have been developed which consist of several serially interconnected DSC modules each with a size of 30 cm×30 cm. The results of module characteristics under various outdoor illumination conditions and under partial shading are reported. Visual impressions of the DSC facade elements are presented. 相似文献

Imperial College London was host to the 24th Annual UK Performance Engineering Workshop in July 2008. UKPEW is an enjoyable workshop that brings together researchers in the performance engineering community to discuss quantitative aspects of, for instance, Grid computing, web and e-commerce, performance modelling techniques, power management and wireless network performance. OBJECTIVE: To establish a profile of injured adult pedestrians and attempt to define the role which alcohol plays in this regard. DESIGN: Prospective survey of injured pedestrians who presented consecutively over 9 weeks to Groote Schuur Hospital. Data on fatally injured pedestrians were retrospectively collected from the State Mortuary. SETTING: Hospital-based study conducted at the trauma unit, Groote Schuur Hospital. PARTICIPANTS: A total of 321 pedestrians--196 injured and 35 'dead on arrival'. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Sociodemographics, blood alcohol concentration (BAC) and injury severity. RESULTS: Patients were predominantly male and, on average, 35.6 years old. They were most frequently injured at night and over weekends. The BAC was positive in 62.1% of pedestrians, and the mean BAC was 0.19 g/dl. Most pedestrians had at least one lower limb injury and nearly half had a head injury; however, BAC-positive pedestrians were 2.6 times more likely to have a head injury (P = 0.0009). Furthermore, BAC-positive pedestrians sustained more severe injuries, more frequently required admission to the ICU, had longer hospital admission and were more likely to die of their injuries. The overall case fatality rate was 19.5%. CONCLUSIONS: The influence of alcohol intoxication among injured adult pedestrians in Cape Town is high, suggesting that alcohol plays a major role in these accidents. Consequently, there should be some degree of culpability in those who cross the road while in an intoxicated state. However, equal attention should be given to safe and convenient crossing points, good lighting and education with regard to the wearing of reflective clothing after dark. 相似文献

The use of multi-component solvent/additive systems can be beneficial in the manufacturing process of organic and printed electronics because they can provide an extended degree of freedom, in terms of optimized wetting properties or their influence on the molecular ordering during solvent evaporation. For a systematic investigation of the drying process of such systems a technique for the measurement of the evaporation kinetics for micrometer to nanometer thin films is required. Since large area films are drying faster at the edges, we determine the drying kinetics spatially resolved in a linear array of 5 reflectometers simultaneously for single and binary solvent systems for polymer–fullerene (P3HT:PCBM) solutions as used in organic photovoltaic.In order to design a specific drying process, e.g. combined fast and slow evaporation of high or less solving solvents, a spatial resolved numerical investigation of solvent mass transfer is addressed. A numerical approach including the effect of a moving drying front shows reasonable agreement for single and binary solvent systems with spatially resolved experimental data. The effect of the moving drying front accelerates the drying kinetics at a distinct position as the front approaches and must also be considered for integral measurements (e.g. gravimetric experiments). 相似文献
