The influence of flux cored arc welding (FCAW) process parameters such as welding current, travel speed, voltage and CO2 shielding gas flow rate on bowing distortion of 409M ferritic stainless steel sheets of 2 mm in thickness was discussed. The bowing distortions of the welded plates were measured using a simple device called profile tracer. An experimental regression equation was developed to predict the bowing distortion and with this equation, it is easy to select optimized process parameters to achieve minimum bowing distortion. It is revealed that the FCAW process parameters have significant influence on bead profile and the bowing distortion. 相似文献

The adoption of light weight and high performance polymer matrix composites are needed for industries related to aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, etc. Polymer fiber reinforced composite material have very good desirable mechanical and thermal properties like low density, higher specific stiffness with high specific strength and a controlled co-efficient of thermal expansion with dimensional stability. The addition of carbon nanoparticle in these composites improved mechanical as well as wear properties of the material, which leads to more applications of these composites in various fields. In the present investigation carbon nanotube addition along with the glass fiber reinforced composite material was used as work material. The sliding wear tests were carried out on pin on disc wear tester. The tribological performance was studied by varying the applied load. The wear surfaces were analyzed by using scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy which are presented in detail. 相似文献

This research investigates the controllability of linear and non-linear fractional dynamical systems with distributed delays in control using the -Caputo fractional derivative. For controllability of linear systems, the positive definiteness of Grammian matrix, which is characterized by Mittag–Leffler functions, is used to provide necessary and sufficient conditions. For the controllability of non-linear systems, the iterative technique with the completeness of is used to obtain sufficient conditions. Using the -Caputo fractional derivative, this study is new since it investigates the ideas of controllability. A couple of numerical results are offered to explain the theoretical results. 相似文献
