A fully differential SC bandpass filter (central frequency, 58 kHz; Q = 15; and voltage gain, 8) based on the switched-opamp approach is designed and implemented in this work. The filter operates from a single 1 V supply voltage and is realized in a 0.35 m CMOS technology. It has been characterized with a sampling frequency of 1 MHz and its power consumption is about 230 W. As a main internal filter component, an appropiate switched opamp was also designed. Its common-mode feedback circuit was implemented by using an error amplifier and sampling of the output common-mode voltage is carried out by applying a DC offset to level shift the common-mode sample. It provides an accurate common-mode output for a wide temperature and supply voltage ranges.  相似文献

The performance of Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) thermal infrared (TIR) data product algorithms was evaluated for low spectral contrast surfaces (such as vegetation and water) in a test site close to Valencia, Spain. Concurrent ground measurements of surface temperature, emissivity, and atmospheric radiosonde profiles were collected at the test site, which is a thermally homogeneous area of rice crops with nearly full vegetation cover in summer. Using the ground data and the local radiosonde profiles, at-sensor radiances were simulated for the ASTER TIR channels and compared with L1B data (calibrated at-sensor radiances) showing discrepancies up to 3% in radiance for channel 10 at 8.3 μm (equivalently, 2.5 °C in temperature or 7% in emissivity), whereas channel 13 (10.7 μm) yielded a closer agreement (maximum difference of 0.5% in radiance or 0.4 °C in temperature). We also tested the ASTER standard products of land surface temperature (LST) and spectral emissivity generated with the Temperature-Emissivity Separation (TES) algorithm with standard atmospheric correction from both global data assimilation system profiles and climatology profiles. These products showed anomalous emissivity spectra with lower emissivity values and larger spectral contrast (or maximum-minimum emissivity difference, MMD) than expected, and as a result, overestimated LSTs. In this work, a scene-based procedure is proposed to obtain more accurate MMD estimates for low spectral contrast materials (vegetation and water) and therefore a better retrieval of LST and emissivity with the TES algorithm. The method uses various gray-bodies or near gray-bodies with known emissivities and assumes that the calibration and atmospheric correction performed with local radiosonde data are accurate for channel 13. Taking the channel 13 temperature (atmospherically and emissivity corrected) as the true LST, the radiances for the other channels were simulated and used to derive linear relationships between ASTER digital numbers and at-ground radiances for each channel. The TES algorithm was applied to the adjusted radiances and the resulting products showed a closer agreement with the ground measurements (differences lower than 1% in channel 13 emissivities and within ± 0.3 °C in temperature for rice and sea pixels).  相似文献

The objective of this study consists, firstly, of quantifying differences between Spanish universities’ output (in terms of publications and citations), and secondly, analysing its determinants. The results obtained show that there are factors which have a positive influence on these indicators, such as having a third-cycle programme, with public financing obtained in competitive selection procedures, having a large number of full-time researchers or involvement in collaborations with international institutions. However, other factors which appear to have the opposite effect were also noted. These include a higher number of students per lecturer or a lower proportion of lecturers with recognised six-year periods.  相似文献

The European Space Agency (ESA) is today autonomously flying three interplanetary missions: Rosetta traveling to the comet Churyumov-Gerasimenko and the two orbiters Mars Express and Venus Express. The capability of supporting these and future deep-space missions is the consequence of a farsighted decision taken in 1996 to expand the ESA network of 15-m tracking antennas into the deep-space domain. The ambitious plan to provide around-the-clock coverage to all ESA interplanetary missions is almost completed: two deep-space antennas, located in New Norcia (Australia) and Cebreros (Spain), have been in operation since 2002 and 2005, respectively, while a third antenna is planned for 2011. This paper presents the two existing antennas starting from the underlying system requirements originated from the Rosetta mission, which was the most demanding in terms of required performance. The selected architecture is then described, followed by a detailed discussion about the critical performances that play a major role in deep-space support and the associated design issues.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a new way to compute a rough approximation solution, to be later used as a warm starting point in a more refined optimization process, for a challenging global optimization problem related to earth imaging in geophysics. The warm start consists of a velocity model that approximately solves a full-waveform inverse problem at low frequency. Our motivation arises from the availability of massively parallel computing platforms and the natural parallelization of evolution strategies as global optimization methods for continuous variables. Our first contribution consists of developing a new and efficient parametrization of the velocity models to significantly reduce the dimension of the original optimization space. Our second contribution is to adapt a class of evolution strategies to the specificity of the physical problem at hands where the objective function evaluation is known to be the most expensive computational part. A third contribution is the development of a parallel evolution strategy solver, taking advantage of a recently proposed modification of these class of evolutionary methods that ensures convergence and promotes better performance under moderate budgets. The numerical results presented demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm on a realistic 3D full-waveform inverse problem in geophysics. The developed numerical approach allows us to successfully solve an acoustic full-waveform inversion problem at low frequencies on a reasonable number of cores of a distributed memory computer.  相似文献

In this paper we show how to accurately estimate the local truncation error of the Chebyshev spectral collocation method using $\tau $ -estimation. This method compares the residuals on a sequence of approximations with different polynomial orders. First, we focus the analysis on one-dimensional scalar linear and non-linear test cases to examine the accuracy of the estimation of the truncation error. Then, we show the validity of the analysis for the incompressible Navier–Stokes equations. First on the Kovasznay flow, where an analytical solution is known, and finally in the lid driven cavity (LDC). We demonstrate that this approach yields a highly accurate estimation of the truncation error if the precision of the approximations increases with the polynomial order.  相似文献

This paper presents a general energy management system for High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters and cloud infrastructures that powers off cluster nodes when they are not being used, and conversely powers them on when they are needed. This system can be integrated with different HPC cluster middleware, such as Batch-Queuing Systems or Cloud Management Systems, and can also use different mechanisms for powering on and off the computing nodes. The presented system makes it possible to implement different energy-saving policies depending on the priorities and particularities of the cluster. It also provides a hook system to extend the functionality, and a sensor system in order to take into account environmental information.  相似文献

A utility tunnel is defined as an underground structure containing one or more utilities, permitting the installation, maintenance and removal of the systems without the necessity of making street cuts or excavations. These underground facilities contain all essential utilities serving large urban areas collected together in a tunnel; therefore they are an inviting target for sabotage or vandalism. This paper proposes an expert system combining color-coded scales, Delphi and AHP methods to analyze criticality and threats on utility tunnels to support planning of security policies for utilities in urban subsurface.  相似文献

Small berry fruits are consumed because of their attractive colour and special taste, and are considered one of the richest sources of natural antioxidants. Their consumption has been linked to the prevention of some chronic and degenerative diseases. The term ‘berry fruits’ encompasses the so‐called ‘soft fruits’, primarily strawberry, currants, gooseberry, blackberry, raspberry, blueberry and cranberry. The objective of this review is to highlight the nutraceutical value of berries and to summarize the factors affecting berry fruit antioxidants. Particular attention is given to postharvest and processing operation factors that may affect fruit phytochemical content. The structure–antioxidant relationships for phenolic compounds – the main group of antioxidants in this fruit group – are presented and major areas for future research are identified. © 2013 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Control strategies such as variations in injection pressure and timing have been used by researchers to reduce in-cylinder exhaust emissions and meet legislation standards. Postinjection has been studied for several years and is now well known as an efficient strategy for reducing soot emission. Diesel gaseous and particle mass emissions have been progressively reduced over the last twenty years as a consequence of increasingly restrictive emission legislation and the application of aftertreatment devices. The main objective of this work is to better understand the effect of postinjection on particle size distribution in diesel exhaust. The approach uses a modern, well-instrumented research engine test cell equipped with a flexible high pressure fuel injection system. The results of this work provide guidelines for developing strategies to reduce particle size distribution in diesel engines. A major improvement in particle size distribution was found in the accumulation mode by using a close postinjection of a small quantity of fuel. For reduction in nucleation mode, a relationship was found with close postinjections of large quantities of fuel.  相似文献
