A straightforward analytical method has been developed for the determination of glyphosate and aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA), its major metabolite in cereals. This method entails a rapid extraction and derivatization with 9-fluorenylmethyl chloroformate followed by separation with a conventional reversed-phase rapid chromatography used in daily routine analysis and detection by electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry. To overcome matrix effects and compensate for any analyte losses during sample treatment, an isotopic dilution approach was used. Since 2010, the monitoring of cereals for the widely used herbicide glyphosate is obligatory to all European Union (EU)-member states, laid down in Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1213/2008. Hence, there is definitively a need for a reliable and easy-to-handle analytical method for monitoring of this compound. The proposed method can be run without having to make time-consuming changes on the equipment used for daily routine analysis. The analytical performance of the method was evaluated according to SANCO/10684/2009 criteria and demonstrated that this method is rugged and cost-effective, therefore suitable for monitoring purposes as well as legislative enforcements within the EU. The apparent recoveries of both analytes were between 97% and 113% with relative standard deviations less than 20%. The limits of quantification of glyphosate and AMPA were 0.02 mg/kg in cereal matrices. Candida guilliermondii (teleomorph Meyerozyma guilliermondii) is an ascomycetous species belonging to the fungal CTG clade. This yeast remains actively studied as a result of its moderate clinical importance and most of all for its potential uses in biotechnology. The aim of the present study was to establish a convenient transformation system for C. guilliermondii by developing both a methionine auxotroph recipient strain and a functional MET gene as selection marker. We first disrupted the MET2 and MET15 genes encoding homoserine‐O‐acetyltransferase and O‐acetylserine O‐acetylhomoserine sulphydrylase, respectively. The met2 mutant was shown to be a methionine auxotroph in contrast to met15 which was not. Interestingly, met2 and met15 mutants formed brown colonies when cultured on lead‐containing medium, contrary to the wild‐type strain, which develop as white colonies on this medium. The MET2 wild‐type allele was successfully used to transfer a yellow fluorescent protein (YFP) gene‐expressing vector into the met2 recipient strain. In addition, we showed that the loss of the MET2‐containing YFP‐expressing plasmid can be easily observed on lead‐containing medium. The MET2 wild‐type allele, flanked by two short repeated sequences, was then used to disrupt the LYS2 gene (encoding the α‐aminoadipate reductase) in the C. guilliermondii met2 recipient strain. The resulting lys2 mutants displayed, as expected, auxotrophy for lysine. Unfortunately, all our attempts to pop‐out the MET2 marker (following the recombination of the bordering repeat sequences) from a target lys2 locus were unsuccessful using white/brown colony colour screening. A study was carried out to determine quantitatively the number and location of spectral bands required to perform general rock type discrimination from spaceborne imaging sensors using only thermal infrared measurements. Beginning with laboratory spectra collected under idealized conditions from relatively well-characterized homogeneous samples, a radiative transfer model was used to transform ground exitance values into the corresponding spectral radiance at the top of the atmosphere. Taking sensor noise into account, analysis of these data revealed that three 1 μ wide spectral bands would permit independent estimations of rock type and sample temperature from a satellite infrared multispectral scanner. This study, which ignores the mixing of terrain elements within the instantaneous field of view of a satellite scanner, indicates that the location of three spectral bands at 8.1–9.1, 9.5–10.5, and 11.0–12.0 μ, and the employment of appropriate preprocessing to minimize atmospheric effects makes it possible to predict general rock type and temperature for a variety of atmospheric states and temperatures. 相似文献

An architecture for building laboratory automation systems was developed using the component-based framework. The requirements to build a flexible and adaptable automation system were exemplified through the architectural design process. Existing tools and technologies facilitated the development of this scalable architecture. Several design patterns were used to model this architecture. The influence of these patterns on systems design and the impact of Unified Modeling Language on component and interface design was explored. A method is developed to analyze the accuracy of the relative head-to-object position and orientation (pose) in augmented reality systems with head-mounted displays. From probabilistic estimates of the errors in optical tracking sensors, the uncertainty in head-to-object pose can be computed in the form of a covariance matrix. The positional uncertainty can be visualized as a 3D ellipsoid. One useful benefit of having an explicit representation of uncertainty is that we can fuse sensor data from a combination of fixed and head-mounted sensors in order to improve the overall registration accuracy. The method was applied to the analysis of an experimental augmented reality system, incorporating an optical see-through head-mounted display, a head-mounted CCD camera, and a fixed optical tracking sensor. The uncertainty of the pose of a movable object with respect to the head-mounted display was analyzed. This paper addresses an adjustable parameter (AP)-based multi-objective fault estimation design for continuous-time/discrete-time dynamic systems. First, a fault estimation observer with AP is constructed to on-line identify the size of occurred faults. The fault estimation design not only possesses a wider application compared with adaptive observers, but also uses the current output information to enhance fault estimation performance. Then a multi-objective approach is proposed to determine the gain matrices of fault estimation observer. Moreover, fault estimation results with the slack-variable technique are obtained to further reduce the conservatism. The advance of the Internet in the past decade has radically changed the way people communicate and col- laborate with each other. Physical distance is no more a barrier in online social networks, but cultural differences (at the individual, community, as well as societal levels) still govern human-human interactions and must be con- sidered and leveraged in the online world. The rapid de-ployment of high-speed Internet allows humans to interact using a rich set of multimedia data such as texts, pictures, and videos. This position paper proposes to define a new research area called ’connected multimedia’, which is the study of a collection of research issues of the super-area social media that receive little attention in the literature. By connected multimedia, we mean the study of the social and technical interactions among users, multimedia data, and devices across cultures and explicitly exploiting the cultural differences. The contribution of this paper is threefold. First, we present the paradigm of snap-stabilization. A snap- stabilizing protocol guarantees that, starting from an arbitrary system configuration, the protocol always behaves
according to its specification. So, a snap-stabilizing protocol is a time optimal self-stabilizing protocol (because it stabilizes
in 0 rounds). Second, we propose a new Propagation of Information with Feedback (PIF) cycle, called Propagation of Information with Feedback and Cleaning (). We show three different implementations of this new PIF. The first one is a basic cycle which is inherently snap-stabilizing. However, the first PIF cycle can be delayed O(h
2) rounds (where h is the height of the tree) due to some undesirable local states. The second algorithm improves the worst delay of the basic
algorithm from O(h
2) to 1 round. The state requirement for the above two algorithms is 3 states per processor, except for the root and leaf processors
that use only 2 states. Also, they work on oriented trees. We then propose a third snap-stabilizing PIF algorithm on un-oriented
tree networks. The state requirement of the third algorithm depends on the degree of the processors, and the delay is at most
h rounds. Next, we analyze the maximum waiting time before a PIF cycle can be initiated whether the PIF cycle is infinitely
and sequentially repeated or launch as an isolated PIF cycle. The analysis is made for both oriented and un-oriented trees.
We show or conjecture that the two best of the above algorithms produce optimal waiting time. Finally, we compute the minimal
number of states the processors require to implement a single PIF cycle, and show that both algorithms for oriented trees
are also (in addition to being time optimal) optimal in terms of the number of states.
WARNING: The concept of snap-stabilization was first introduced in [12]. The concept evolved over the last eight years. We
take this evolution in consideration in this paper, which includes the early results published in [10] and [12]. In particular,
infinite repetition of computation cycles is a requirement of self-stabilizing systems. This is not required in snap-stabilization because snap-stabilization ensures that the first completed computation cycle is executed according to the
