The aim of this paper was to study the biogenic amines (histamine, tyramine, putrescine, cadaverine, agmatine, spermine and
spermidine) production of selected technological important lactic acid bacteria (strains of the genera Lactococcus, Lactobacillus and Streptococcus). Three methods (ion-exchange chromatography (IEC), PCR and cultivation method with pH indicator) were used. Within the 39
strains of lactic acid bacteria tested, the production of tyramine (formed by tyrosine decarboxylase) was detected in eight
strains (3 strains of Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis, three strains of Lactococcus lactis subsp. cremoris, 1 strain of Streptococcus thermophilus and 1 strain of Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus). The other tested biogenic amines were not detected. Cultivation in decarboxylation broth seems to be the least accurate
method for the detection of biogenic amines due to enhanced risk of false-positive reactions. Therefore, in order to detect

This study reports on the first complex data set of emission factors (EFs) of selected pollutants from combustion of five fuel types (lignite, bituminous coal, spruce, beech, and maize) in six different domestic heating appliances of various combustion designs. The effect of fuel as well as the effect of boiler type was studied. In total, 46 combustion runs were performed, during which numerous EFs were measured, including the EFs of particulate matter (PM), carbon monoxide, polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAH), hexachlorobenzene (HxCBz), polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and furans (PCDD/F), etc. The highest EFs of nonchlorinated pollutants were measured for old-type boilers with over-fire and under-fire designs and with manual stoking and natural draft. Emissions of the above-mentioned pollutants from modern-type boilers (automatic, downdraft) were 10 times lower or more. The decisive factor for emission rate of nonchlorinated pollutants was the type of appliance; the type of fuel plays only a minor role. Emissions of chlorinated pollutants were proportional mainly to the chlorine content in fuel, but the type of appliance also influenced the rate of emissions significantly. Surprisingly, higher EFs of PCDD/F from combustion of chlorinated bituminous coal were observed for modern-type boilers (downdraft, automatic) than for old-type ones. On the other hand, when bituminous coal was burned, higher emissions of HxCBz were found for old-type boilers than for modern-type ones. 相似文献

Hot water (45°C) extracts of ten barley varieties and their corresponding malts were analyzed in terms of antioxidant activity. The ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) and radical scavenging activity (ABTS), ranged from 0.23‐0.45 mg GAE/gdw for malt and 0.12‐0.25 mg GAE/gdw for barley. The hull‐less malt KM 1910 was the variety with the best antioxidant properties, whereas the highest antioxidant capacity for barley was detected for the variety Merlin. A significant positive correlation between the methods FRAP, ABTS and ITT was found (p < 0.01). The influence of fertilization (20 kg N/ha) on barley antioxidant capacity was studied. The results obtained suggest that the impact of fertilization was not evident and that it depends significantly on barley genotype. The total polyphenol content, as measured according to Folin‐Ciocalteu's method, ranged from 0.6‐2.9 mg GAE/gdw and correlated positively with all the antioxidant methods used (p < 0.01). Free phenolic compounds were measured by HPLC with a CoulArray detector. The dominant phenolic compound was ferulic acid and its content ranged from 12.5–21.9 and 7.8–56.1 μg/gdw for barley and malt, respectively.
