Magnetoresistance in n-InxGa1?xAs/GaAs (x ≈ 0.18) heterostructures with double quantum wells (DQWs) was studied in the magnetic field parallel to the DQW layer. Specific features of the magnetoresistance, related to the passing of the tunnel gap edges across the Fermi level, are revealed and studied. Agreement between the calculated and experimental positions of the observed features is obtained when the spin splitting of the energy spectrum is taken into account. Earlier, similar features were observed in the magnetoresistance of n-GaAs/AlxGa1?xAs DQW heterostructures, but the spin effects did not manifest themselves.  相似文献

Oxylipins are associated with important processes of the fungal life cycle, such as spore formation. Here, we report the formation of FA metabolites in Agaricus bisporus. Incubation of a crude extract of lamellae with linoleic acid (18∶2) led to the extensive formation of two oxylipins. They were identified as 8(R)-hydroxy-9Z,12Z-octadecadienoic acid (8-HOD) and 8(R),11(S)-dihydroxy-9Z,12Z-octadecadienoic acid (8,11-diHOD) by using RP-HPLC, GC-MS, IR, GC-MS analysis of diastereomeric derivatives, and 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Neither compound has been reported before in A. bisporus. Oleic (18∶1), α-linolenic (18∶3n−3), and γ-linolenic (18∶3n−6) acids were converted into their 8-hydroxy derivatives as well, and 18∶3n−3 was further metabolized to its 8,11-diol derivative. Reactions with [U-13C]18∶2 demonstrated that the compounds 8-HOD and 8,11-diHOD were formed from exogenously supplied 18∶2. When [U-13C]8-HOD was supplied, it was not converted into 8,11-diHOD, indicating that it was not an intermediate in the formation of 8,11-diHOD. When a crude extract of A. bisporus was incubated under an atmosphere of 16O2/18O2, the two hydroxyl groups of 8,11-diHOD contained either two 18O atoms or two 16O atoms. Species that contained one of each isotope could not be detected. We propose that the formation of the 8,11-dihydroxy compounds occurs through either an 8,11-endoperoxy, an 8-peroxo free radical, or an 8-hydroperoxy intermediate. In the latter case, the reaction should be catalyzed by dioxygenase with novel specificity.  相似文献

The rate of oxidation by ozone of potassium cyanide into cyanate has been measured in alkaline aqueous solutions buffered at a pH of 11.8 and a temperature of 20°C. The initial cyanide concentration has mostly been 100 g m−3. Under these conditions the reaction rate can within the experimental error be described by an equation which is of first order in ozone and independent of the cyanide concentration. The reaction rate is so large that the conversion is limited by mass transfer. Mass balances show that one mole of ozone oxidizes one mole of cyanide.The oxidation of cyanide is part of a reaction sequence similar to the ozone decomposition mechanism. For both reactions, cyanide oxidation and ozone decay, mechanisms are proposed. The kinetics predicted for the ozone decay are in agreement with experimental data from the literature.The mechanism proposed for the cyanide oxidation predicts a reaction rate equation given by: with

Fourteen cases of alveolar echinococcosis were examined by computed tomographic (CT) scanning of the liver, including 3 cases before treatment and 11 cases 2.0-7.5 years after long-term continuous albendazole therapy. In 7 cases the hepatic lesions were almost completely calcified and cured, while in 3 cases incomplete calcification of the peripheral margin of the hepatic lesions was observed. CT scanning of the one uncured case and the 3 cases before treatment showed active lesions with heterogeneous hypodense areas in the liver without calcification on the peripheral margin. Long-term continuous albendazole therapy can result in parasitological cure with death of the parasite.  相似文献

Two patients, a Surinamese man aged 50 and a Surinamese woman aged 56 exhibited a mycetoma of the foot, 30 and 28 years, respectively, after a local injury. Pathological examination revealed an aspecific chronic granulomatous inflammation. As causative agents a Fusarium species and a Cladosporium normodendrum, respectively, were cultured. The treatment consisted of curettage of fistulous ducts and administration of itraconazole.  相似文献

To improve the use of ergonomics tools by construction workers, the effect of two guidance strategies – a face-to-face strategy (F2F) and an e-guidance strategy (EG) – of a participatory ergonomics intervention was studied. Twelve construction companies were randomly assigned to the F2F group or the EG group. The primary outcome measure, the percentage of workers using ergonomics tools, and secondary outcome measures – work ability, physical functioning and limitations due to physical problems – were assessed using surveys at baseline and after 6 months. Additionally, a cost-benefit analysis was performed on company level. No differences in primary and secondary outcomes were found with the exception of the use of ergonomics tools to adjust working height (F2F +1%; EG +10%; p?=?.001). Newly-implemented tools were used by 23% (F2F) and 42% (EG) of the workers (p?=?.271). Costs were mainly determined by guidance costs (F2F group) or purchase costs (EG group).

Practitioner Summary: Participatory strategies aim to stimulate behavioural change of stakeholders to increase the use of ergonomics tools. Two guidance strategies – face-to-face or e-mail interventions – among construction companies were studied. Both guidance strategies led to an increase in the use of new ergonomics tools.  相似文献

Polymer foams are cellular solids composed of solid and gas phases, whose mechanical, thermal, and acoustic properties are determined by the composition, volume fraction, and connectivity of both phases. A new high‐throughput additive manufacturing method, referred to as direct bubble writing, for creating polymer foams with locally programmed bubble size, volume fraction, and connectivity is reported. Direct bubble writing relies on rapid generation and patterning of liquid shell–gas core droplets produced using a core–shell nozzle. The printed polymer foams are able to retain their overall shape, since the outer shell of these bubble droplets consist of a low‐viscosity monomer that is rapidly polymerized during the printing process. The transition between open‐ and closed‐cell foams is independently controlled by the gas used, while the foam can be tailored on‐the‐fly by adjusting the gas pressure used to produce the bubble droplets. As exemplars, homogeneous and graded polymer foams in several motifs, including 3D lattices, shells, and out‐of‐plane pillars are fabricated. Conductive composite foams with controlled stiffness for use as soft pressure sensors are also produced.  相似文献

SARS-CoV-2 and other respiratory viruses spread via aerosols generated by infected people. Face masks can limit transmission. However, widespread use of disposable masks consumes tremendous resources and generates waste. Here, a novel material for treating blown polypropylene filtration media used in medical-grade masks to impart antimicrobial activity is reported. To produce thin copper@ZIF-8 core-shell nanowires (Cu@ZIF-8 NWs), Cu NWs are stabilized using a pluronic F-127 block copolymer, followed by growth of ZIF-8 to obtain uniform core-shell structures. The Cu@ZIF-8 NWs are applied to filtration media by dip coating. Aerosol filtration efficiency decreases upon exposure to ethanol (solvent for dip-coating), but increases with addition of Cu@ZIF-8 NWs. Cu@ZIF-8 NWs shows enhanced antibacterial activity, compared to Cu NWs or ZIF-8 alone, against Streptococcus mutans and Escherichia coli. Antiviral activity against SARS-CoV-2 is assayed using virus-infected Vero E6 cells, demonstrating 55% inhibition of virus replication after 48 h by 1 µg of Cu@ZIF-8 NWs per well. Cu@ZIF-8 NWs’ cytotoxicity is tested against four cell lines, and their effect on inflammatory response in A549 cells is examined, demonstrating good biocompatibility. This low-cost, scalable synthesis and straightforward deposition of Cu@ZIF-8 NWs onto filter media has great potential to reduce disease transmission, resource consumption, and environmental impact of waste.  相似文献
