Novel permanent magnet (PM) motor drives have been successfully developed to fulfil the special requirements for electric vehicles such as high power density, high efficiency, high starting torque, and high cruising speed. These PM motors are all brushless and consist of various types, namely rectangular-fed, sinusoidal-fed, surface-magnet, buried-magnet, and hybrid. The advent of novel motor configurations lies on the unique electromagnetic topology, including the concept of multipole magnetic circuit and full slot-pitch coil span arrangements, leading to a reduction in both magnetic yoke and copper, decoupling of each phase flux path, and hence an increase in both power density and efficiency. Moreover, with the use of fractional number of slots per pole per phase, the cogging torque can be eliminated. On the other hand, by employing the claw-type rotor structure and fixing an additional field winding as the inner stator, these PM hybrid motors can further provide excellent controllability and improve efficiency map. In the PM motors, by purposely making use of the transformer EMF to prevent the current regulator from saturation, a novel control approach is developed to allow for attaining high-speed constant-power operation which is particularly essential for electric vehicles during cruising. Their design philosophy, control strategy, theoretical analysis, computer simulation, experimental tests and application to electric vehicles are described  相似文献

Enhancement-mode Si/SiGe n-type modulation-doped transistors with a 0.5-μm-length T-gate have been fabricated. Peak transconductances of 390 mS/mm at room temperature and 520 mS/mm at 77 K have been achieved. These high values are attributable to a combination of the high quality of the material used, having a room temperature mobility of 2600 cm2/V-s at an electron sheet concentration of 1.5×1012 cm2, and an optimized layer design that minimizes the parasitic series resistance and the gate-to-channel distance  相似文献

The authors parallelize the embedding strategy for mapping any two-dimensional grid into its optimal hypercube with minimal dilation. The parallelization allows each hypercube node to independently determine, in constant time, which grid node it will simulate and the communication paths it will take to reach the hypercube nodes that simulate its grid-neighbors. The paths between grid-neighbors are chosen in such a way as to curb the congestion at each hypercube node and across each hypercube edge. Explicity, the node congestion for the embedding is at most 6, one above optimal, while the edge congestion is at most 5  相似文献

By restricting weight functions to satisfy the quadrangle inequality or the inverse quadrangle inequality, significant progress has been made in developing efficient sequential algorithms for the least-weight subsequence problem [10], [9], [12], [16]. However, not much is known on the improvement of the naive parallel algorithm for the problem, which is fast but demands too many processors (i.e., it takesO(log2 n) time on a CREW PRAM with n3/logn processors). In this paper we show that if the weight function satisfies the inverse quadrangle inequality, the problem can be solved on a CREW PRAM in O(log2 n log logn) time withn/log logn processors, or in O(log2 n) time withn logn processors. Notice that the processor-time complexity of our algorithm is much closer to the almost linear-time complexity of the best-known sequential algorithm [12].  相似文献

Highly luminescent semiconductor quantum dots (zinc sulfide-capped cadmium selenide) have been covalently coupled to biomolecules for use in ultrasensitive biological detection. In comparison with organic dyes such as rhodamine, this class of luminescent labels is 20 times as bright, 100 times as stable against photobleaching, and one-third as wide in spectral linewidth. These nanometer-sized conjugates are water-soluble and biocompatible. Quantum dots that were labeled with the protein transferrin underwent receptor-mediated endocytosis in cultured HeLa cells, and those dots that were labeled with immunomolecules recognized specific antibodies or antigens.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to test the hypothesis that prolactin may up- and down-regulate prolactin receptor gene expression in the anterior pituitary gland and hypothalamus respectively. Experiments were carried out in bantams (Gallus domesticus). Comparisons were made of concentrations of PRLR mRNA in the anterior pituitary gland and basal and preoptic hypothalamus in adult males and females held on long days (low vs high plasma prolactin); in 3-week-old juvenile male and females on short days (high vs low plasma prolactin); in 8-week-old juvenile male and females on short days (both low plasma prolactin); in adult laying, incubating, and out-of-lay (high, very high, and low plasma prolactin, respectively); in adult cockerels exposed to long or short days (high vs low prolactin); and in adult hens exposed to long or short days (high vs low prolactin). There was a sex difference in anterior pituitary and basal hypothalamic PRLR mRNA, with lower values in both tissues in females than in males. Compared with laying and out-of-lay hens, anterior pituitary and basal hypothalamic PRLR mRNA concentrations in incubating hens were increased and decreased, respectively. In adult birds of either sex held on long or short days, there was no difference in pituitary PRLR mRNA, while basal hypothalamic PRLR mRNA was lower on short days. PRLR mRNA in the preoptic hypothalamus was not affected by sex, reproductive state, or photoperiod. It is concluded that there is no consistent relationship between plasma prolactin, in the physiological range, and the concentration of PRLR mRNA in the anterior pituitary gland, basal hypothalamus, and preoptic hypothalamus.  相似文献

Inhalation of hypertonic saline stimulates mucociliary clearance (MCC) in healthy subjects and those with obstructive lung disease. We investigated the effect of inhaling the osmotic agent mannitol on MCC. We used a dry-powder preparation of mannitol British Pharmacopea (BP) which was encapsulated and delivered using a Dinkihaler. MCC was measured for 75 min in six asthmatic and six healthy subjects on two occasions before and after the mannitol inhalation or its control, using 99mTc-sulphur colloid and a gamma camera. The inhaled dose of mannitol was 267+/-171 mg (mean+/-SD) and 400 mg and the percentage fall in forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) was 22+/-3 and 4+/-2% in the asthmatic and healthy subjects, respectively. The total clearance in the whole right lung for the 60 min from the start of inhalation of mannitol was greater by 263+/-11.9% in the asthmatic and 18.1+/-4.9% in the healthy subjects compared to the control. The total clearance over 75 min was 54.7+/-9.6% and 33.6+/-9.4% on the mannitol and control day (p<0.002), respectively, in the asthmatic subjects and 40.5+/-7.1% and 24.8+/-7.8% (p<0.002) in the healthy subjects. In conclusion, inhalation of dry-powder mannitol increases mucociliary clearance in asthmatic and healthy subjects and may benefit patients with abnormal mucociliary clearance.  相似文献

The effects of number of predictors, predictor intercorrelations, validity, and level of subgroup difference on composite validity, adverse impact ratios, and mean subgroup difference associated with various predictor composites, including and excluding a "high impact" ability measure, were assessed. The size of subgroup differences is substantially smaller when low-impact predictors are combined with a high-impact predictor, but hiring ratios for majority and minority groups still indicate a prima facie case of discrimination, using the fourth-fifths rule for most predictor-criterion combinations. However, the validity of a composite of alternate predictors and cognitive ability may exceed the validity of cognitive ability alone and reduce the size of subgroup differences.
