Columnar and (100)-oriented LaNiO3 thin films were prepared on silicon substrates by a chemical solution deposition (CSD) process using a 0.05 M solution. By reducing the individual layer thickness to 10 nm, columnar LaNiO3 films with a lateral grain size of ∼120 nm were obtained. The success of this approach required restricting the individual layer thickness to a value below the grain size observed for equiaxed films. This change in microstructure resulted in an improvement in conductivity. The columnar LaNiO3 film with a thickness of 300 nm showed a resistivity of 4.5 × 10−5 Ω·cm, which is lower by one order of magnitude than that of fine-grain equiaxed films that typically result from CSD methods. 相似文献

A methodology for scaling in situ bioremediation problems is presented. This methodology is based on multiphase, muiticomponent transport theory and employs inspectional analysis and numerical sensitivity studies. A general mathematical model that describes subsurface aerobic biotransformation of organic chemical species in a multiphase setting is first presented. This general model is applied to the specific case of microbial enhanced vapor-vacuum extraction (MEVVE) in a one-dimensional zone of immobile liquids. The resulting simplified MEVVE model considers rate-dependent interphase mass transfer, a flowing gaseous phase, a single hydrocarbon pseudo-component, and either oxygen or hydrocarbon limited microbial activity. By inspectional analysis a set of dimensionless groups are derived that represent the various model parameters. A scries of numerical sensitivity studies are presented that examine the impact of selected dimensionless groups on overall system biotransformation rates. This analysis demonstrates that overall biotranformation rates can be significantly limited not only by insufficient transport of oxygen in the gaseous phase, but also by interfacial mass transfer resistance between nonaqueous phase liquid globules and adjacent fluids. Finally, an examination of the selected dimensionless groups reveals the parameter requirements for properly scaled MEVVE tests. These results indicate the need for further investigation of the importantance of fluid distributions in the pore space and their impact on the design of laboratory and field tests. 相似文献

The relationship between heart failure (HF), sleep-disordered breathing and cardiac arrhythmias is complex and poorly understood. Whereas the frequency of predominantly obstructive sleep apnea in HF patients is low and similar or moderately higher to that observed in the general population, central sleep apnea (CSA) has been observed in approximately 50% of HF patients, depending on the methods used to detect CSA and patient selection. Despite this high prevalence, it is still unclear whether CSA is merely a marker or an independent risk factor for an adverse prognosis in HF patients and whether CSA is associated with an increased risk for supraventricular as well as ventricular arrhythmias in HF patients. The current review focuses on the relationship between CSA and atrial fibrillation as the most common atrial arrhythmia in HF patients, and on the relationship between CSA and ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation as the most frequent cause of sudden cardiac death in HF patients. 相似文献

The lateral bracing system of a building should ensure the stability of the building, in terms of the usability and the total load capacity. The governing loads for the lateral bracing system are horizontal loads due to wind and earthquake. The horizontal loads are traditionally distributed to the bracing elements according to the uncracked elastic state dependent on the bending stiffness in the elastic (uncracked) state. This method does not allow consideration of non‐linear effects and load redistribution. Within the framework of the PRB Research Cooperation – Improving the Practical Use of Structural Design Standards through pre‐normative work – Subcontract 5: Masonry Construction, Subproject 3: “Large Shear Walls” [7], the cracked or plastic state can be taken into account through a displacement based approach. In order to account for complex interactions between humans climate and the water cycle, the research consortium GLOWA-Danube (www.glowa-danube.de) has developed the simulation system DANUBIA which consists of 17 coupled models. DANUBIA was applied to investigate various impacts of global-change between 2011 and 2060 in the Upper Danube Catchment. This article describes part 2 of an article series with investigations of socio-economic aspects, while part 1 (Barthel et al. in Grundwasser 16(4), doi:10.1007/s007-011-01794, 2011) deals with natural-spatial aspects. The principles of socio-economic actor-modeling and interactions between socio-economic and natural science model components are described here. We present selected simulations that show impacts on groundwater from changes in agriculture, tourism, economy, domestic water users and water supply. Despite decreases in water consumption, the scenario simulations show significant decreases in groundwater quantity. On the other hand, groundwater quality will likely be influenced more severely by land use changes compared to direct climatic causes. However, overall changes will not be dramatic. 相似文献

In patients after elective abdominal surgery, different fat emulsions were used to compare their efficacy in total parenteral nutrition and in normalizing plasma lipoprotein levels. In five different groups with 5 patients each, half of the nonprotein calories were given as medium-chain triglycerides/long-chain triglycerides (1:1) or as long-chain triglycerides alone in 10 or 20% fat emulsions or as glucose alone in a control group for 7 days. After surgery, an initial decrease of all plasma lipoprotein components was followed by a different behavior of glyceride-glycerol, cholesterol, phospholipids, and apolipoproteins. Glyceride-glycerol in very-low-density lipoproteins and high-density lipoproteins is increasing during infusion of fat emulsions and decreasing during overnight interruption of infusions. After the 7-day infusion period, there was no significant difference in very-low-density lipoprotein glyceride-glycerol as compared with the values before different infusions. Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol is reaching and exceeding preoperative concentrations between the 4th and the 7th day, most during infusion of 10% fat emulsion and especially due to an increase of free cholesterol. High-density lipoprotein cholesterol and apolipoprotein A-I reach preoperative levels during infusion of fat emulsions but not with glucose alone. Higher than preoperative values are reached in phospholipids with all fat infusions already on day 4. Abnormal lipoprotein X occurred least with the medium-chain/long-chain triglyceride 20% fat-infusion. This fat emulsion is suggested as having the best normalizing effect on plasma lipoproteins and best tolerance in patients after surgery. 相似文献
