Directed self‐assembly (DSA) using soft materials is an important method for producing periodic nanostructures because it is a simple, cost‐effective process for fabricating high‐resolution patterns. Most of the previously reported DSA methods exploit the self‐assembly of block copolymers, which generates a wide range of nanostructures. In this study, cylinders obtained from supramolecular dendrimer films with a high resolution (<5 nm) exhibit planar ordering over a macroscopic area via guiding topographical templates with a high aspect ratio (>10) and high spatial resolution (≈20 nm) of guiding line patterns. Theoretical and experimental studies reveal that this property is related to geometrical anchoring on the meniscus region and physical surface anchoring on the sidewall. Furthermore, this DSA of dendrimer cylinders is demonstrated by the non‐regular geometry of the patterned template. The macroscopic planar alignment of the dendrimer nanostructure reveals an extremely small feature size (≈4.7 nm) on the wafer scale (>16 cm2). This study is expected to open avenues for the production of a large family of supramolecular dendrimers with different phases and feature dimensions oriented by the DSA approach.  相似文献

A dense Ce0.9Gd0.1O2−d (GDC) interlayer is an essential component of the SOFCs to inhibit interfacial elemental diffusion between zirconia-based electrolytes (eg YSZ) and cathodes. However, the characteristic high sintering temperature of GDC (>1400°C) makes it challenging to fabricate an effective highly dense interlayer owing to the formation of more resistive (Zr,Ce)O2 interfacial solid solutions with YSZ at those temperatures. To fabricate a useful GDC interlayer, we studied the influence of transition metal (TM) (Co, Cu, Fe, Mn, & Zn) doping on the sintering and electrochemical properties of GDC. Dilatometry data showed dramatic drops in the necking and final sintering temperatures for the TM-doped GDCs, improving the densification of the GDC in the order of Fe > Co > Mn > Cu > Zn. However, the electrochemical impedance data showed that among various transition metal dopants, Mn doping resulted in the best electrochemical properties. Anode supported SOFCs with Mn-doped, nano, and commercial-micron GDC interlayers were compared with regard to their performance and stability levels. Although all of the SOFCs showed stable performance, the SOFC with the Mn-doped GDC interlayer showed the highest power density of 1.14 W cm−2 at 750°C. Hence, Mn-doped GDC is suggested for application as an effective diffusion barrier layer in SOFCs.  相似文献

Li2O/B2O3-added Ba1-xSrxTiO3 (B1-xSxT) ceramics, where 0.2 ≤ x ≤ 0.35, were well densified at 920 °C with pure perovskite structure. The dielectric constant, tunability, and figure of merit (FOM) of B1-xSxT ceramics increased with x because of the decreasing Curie temperature (TC). The specimen with x = 0.35, whose TC was close to room temperature, exhibited a large tunability of 27.4 % and FOM of 110 at 10 kV/cm. A compositionally graded multilayer (CGML), which was sintered at 920 °C, was fabricated using B1-xSxT thick films to produce a temperature-stable tunable capacitor, and it evinced a dense microstructure and a continuous interface between the B1-xSxT thick film and the Ag electrode. This CGML capacitor showed a large tunability (51 %) and FOM (150) at 20 kV/cm. It also exhibited stable tunability (17–28 % at 10 kV/cm) at temperatures between 30–90 °C. Therefore, the B1-xSxT CGML capacitor is a suitable candidate for temperature-stable tunable capacitors.  相似文献

Studying protein–protein interactions (PPIs) is useful for understanding cellular functions and mechanisms. Evaluating these PPIs under conditions as similar as possible to native conditions can be achieved using photo-crosslinking methods because of their on-demand ability to generate reactive species in situ by irradiation with UV light. Various fusion tag, metabolic incorporation, and amber codon suppression approaches using various crosslinkers containing aryl azide, benzophenone, and diazirines have been applied in live cells. Mass spectrometry and immunological techniques are used to identify crosslinked proteins based on their capture transient and context-dependent interactions. Herein we discuss various incorporation methods and crosslinkers that have been used for interactome mapping in live cells.  相似文献

A significant change in the UV-vis absorption of TiO2 nanorods (NRs) was induced by changing electrondonating stabilizer from oleic acid (OA) to acrylic acid (AcA). When TiO2 NRs with an average size of 2.5 nm in diameter and 30 nm in length were dispersed in an aqueous AcA solution, a red shift in the optical absorption (0.73 eV at the band edge and 0.55 eV at the onset) was observed. The red shift was attributed to an increase in the electron density inside the TiO2 NRs. The applicability of the AcA-exchanged TiO2 NRs for the photocatalyst as well as a UV sensor was evaluated. The AcA-exchanged TiO2 NRs showed significant photocatalytic activity on the degradation of toluene in the visible light region. Moreover, thin film of the AcA-exchanged TiO2 NRs on a quartz plate was tested as a UV sensor and it exhibited a good response to a wide range of the UV light.  相似文献

To identify potential biomarkers for improving diagnosis of melioidosis, we compared plasma metabolome profiles of melioidosis patients compared to patients with other bacteremia and controls without active infection, using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-quadruple time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Principal component analysis (PCA) showed that the metabolomic profiles of melioidosis patients are distinguishable from bacteremia patients and controls. Using multivariate and univariate analysis, 12 significant metabolites from four lipid classes, acylcarnitine (n = 6), lysophosphatidylethanolamine (LysoPE) (n = 3), sphingomyelins (SM) (n = 2) and phosphatidylcholine (PC) (n = 1), with significantly higher levels in melioidosis patients than bacteremia patients and controls, were identified. Ten of the 12 metabolites showed area-under-receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) >0.80 when compared both between melioidosis and bacteremia patients, and between melioidosis patients and controls. SM(d18:2/16:0) possessed the largest AUC when compared, both between melioidosis and bacteremia patients (AUC 0.998, sensitivity 100% and specificity 91.7%), and between melioidosis patients and controls (AUC 1.000, sensitivity 96.7% and specificity 100%). Our results indicate that metabolome profiling might serve as a promising approach for diagnosis of melioidosis using patient plasma, with SM(d18:2/16:0) representing a potential biomarker. Since the 12 metabolites were related to various pathways for energy and lipid metabolism, further studies may reveal their possible role in the pathogenesis and host response in melioidosis.  相似文献
