Fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) have some limitation which make them less competitor to thermal ones and delay their commercialization. The most important problems as the range, the durability and the cost depend directly on the energy storage problematic issues. In this context, this work presents an optimal sizing methodology for an Energy Storage System (ESS) composed by a fuel cell and an assistant source to supply a lightweight vehicle with 700 km driving range. Firstly, a comparative study between single and hybrid source is carried out to show the benefits of hybridization according to the range in terms of weight, cost and fuel consumption. Moreover, in order to improve the hybrid source characteristics, three technologies of the secondary source are tested and evaluated to be chosen for hybridization with fuel cell system purposes. Furthermore, the influence of three Energy Management Strategies (EMSs) on ESS sizing is studied where an optimal strategy provides the most favorable dimensions of the hybrid system. Simulation results give us the best technology needed for hybridization and allow us adopting the optimal management strategy to design the hybrid source. Finally, in order to show the influence of the driving cycles on the ESS design, a comparison study using the New European Driving Cycle “NEDC” and the Assessment and Reliability of Transport Emission Models Inventory Systems (ARTEMIS) confirms that there is a slow influence of the driving cycle on the ESS sizes.  相似文献

The present study proposes a new approach for the assessment of the human balance control. This approach is based on the decomposition of the center of pressure displacement using empirical mode decomposition (EMD) that provides an effective time-frequency analysis of non-stationary signals. Twenty-eight healthy subjects performed quiet standing in four conditions—feet apart/together with respect to eyes open/closed—while recording the stabilometric signals in the anteroposterior (AP) and mediolateral (ML) directions. The EMD method decomposes each stabilometric signal into several subsignals called intrinsic mode functions (IMFs). Stabilogram-diffusion analysis technique is applied to generate the diffusion curve of each IMF signal. Each diffusion curve is modeled as a second-order system and provides representative features, such as the gain parameter. Analysis of the gain parameter shows the major effect of visual input and feet conditions on the strategy to control/stabilize the balance. Significant differences were found between young and elderly, and between women and men. In addition, the impact of feet position seems to be higher in ML direction than in AP direction.  相似文献

The deteriorated area of the multicrystalline silicon (mc‐Si) ingots grown by directional solidification, commonly known as the Red Zone, is usually removed before wafering. This area, characterized by poor minority carrier lifetime, is located on the sides, at the top, and the bottom of the mc‐Si ingots. In this study, the effect of internal gettering by oxygen precipitates and structural defects has been investigated on the bottom zone of a mc‐Si ingot. Nucleation and growth of oxygen precipitates as well as low temperature annealing were studied. Photoluminescence imaging, lifetime mapping, and interstitial iron measurements performed by μ‐PCD reveal a considerable reduction of the bottom Red Zone. An improvement of lifetime from below 1 µs to about 20 µs and a reduction of interstitial iron concentration from 1.32 × 1013 at/cm3 to 8.4 × 1010 at/cm3 are demonstrated in this paper. MIL-101@g-C3N4 nanocomposite was prepared by solvothermal synthesis and used for CO2 adsorption. The parent materials (MIL-101 and g-C3N4) and the MIL-101@g-C3N4 were characterized by X-ray diffraction, argon adsorption/desorption, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermal analysis (TG/DTA), transmission electronic microscopy, and Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The results confirmed the formation of well-defined MIL-101@g-C3N4 with interesting surface area and pore volume. Furthermore, both MIL-101 and MIL-101@g-C3N4 were accomplished in carbon dioxide capture at different temperatures (280, 288, 273 and 298 K) at lower pressure. The adsorption isotherms show that the nanocomposite has a good CO2 adsorption affinity compared to MIL-101. The best adsorption capacity is about 1.6 mmol g?1 obtained for the nanocomposite material which is two times higher than that of MIL-101, indicating strong interactions between CO2 and MIL-101@g-C3N4. This difference in efficacy is mainly due to the presence of the amine groups dispersed in the nanocomposite. Finally, we have developed a simple route for the preparation of an effective and new adsorbent for the removal of CO2, which can be used as an excellent candidate for gas storage, catalysis, and adsorption.  相似文献

The goal of our study was to potentiate the effects of the ((R,R)-trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane)-platinum(II) fragment [(DACH)Pt], known for its cytotoxic properties, either with tamoxifen (Tam), the most widely used antiestrogen in the treatment of hormone-dependent breast cancers, or with its active metabolite hydroxytamoxifen (hydroxy-Tam). We coupled Tam or hydroxy-Tam derivatives bearing a malonato group at the para position of the beta aromatic ring with the (DACH)Pt fragment. The malonato-Tam and malonato-hydroxy-Tam compounds were prepared through McMurry coupling of the appropriate ketones. The presence of the malonate group resulted in a pronounced stereospecificity in the reaction, since malonato-Tam was obtained only as the Z isomer, while malonato-hydroxy-Tam was obtained as an 80/20 E/Z mixture. Attribution of the isomeric structures was achieved by 2D NMR spectroscopy. The platinum complexes (DACH)Pt-malonato-Tam and (DACH)Pt-malonato-hydroxy-Tam were then prepared by coupling the barium salts derived from the malonato-Tam and malonato-hydroxy-Tam with the nitrate derived from (DACH)PtCl(2). Study of the biochemical properties of these two platinum complexes showed that, while the hydroxy-Tam complex is satisfactorily recognized by the estrogen receptor (relative binding affinity, RBA=6.4 %), the Tam complex is less well recognized (RBA=0.5 %). The effects of these complexes on two hormone-dependent breast cancer cell lines (MCF7 and MVLN) were studied in vitro. Both complexes showed an antiproliferative effect on MCF7 cells, and an antiestrogenic effect on MVLN cells. The observed effects appear to be essentially antihormonal, since incorporation of the (DACH)Pt fragment into the tamoxifen skeleton did not cause an increase in the cytotoxicity of the complexes.  相似文献

This paper investigates a new front-end processing that aims at improving the performance of speech recognition in noisy mobile environments. This approach combines features based on conventional Mel-cepstral Coefficients (MFCCs), Line Spectral Frequencies (LSFs) and formant-like (FL) features to constitute robust multivariate feature vectors. The resulting front-end constitutes an alternative to the DSR-XAFE (XAFE: eXtended Audio Front-End) available in GSM mobile communications. Our results showed that for highly noisy speech, using the paradigm that combines these spectral cues leads to a significant improvement in recognition accuracy on the Aurora 2 task.  相似文献

Deflection of a crack at the bimaterial interface is the initial mechanism required for obtaining enhanced toughness in bimaterial system. In this paper, a criterion is presented to predict the competition between crack deflection and penetration at the interface, using an energy release rate criterion. The finite element methods are used to calculate the strain energy release rates at the crack tip of alumina–metal bimaterial that either deflect or penetrate at the interface as a function of elastic mismatch and length of the deflected or penetrated crack. The effects of the elastic properties of two bonded materials were highlighted in order to evaluate the conditions for the crack deflection by the interface as well as the distance between the crack tip and the interface.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose two adaptive routing algorithms based on reinforcement learning. In the first algorithm, we have used a neural network to approximate the reinforcement signal, allowing the learner to take into account various parameters such as local queue size, for distance estimation. Moreover, each router uses an online learning module to optimize the path in terms of average packet delivery time, by taking into account the waiting queue states of neighbouring routers. In the second algorithm, the exploration of paths is limited to N‐best non‐loop paths in terms of hops number (number of routers in a path), leading to a substantial reduction of convergence time. The performances of the proposed algorithms are evaluated experimentally with OPNET simulator for different levels of traffic's load and compared with standard shortest‐path and Q‐routing algorithms. Our approach proves superior to classical algorithms and is able to route efficiently even when the network load varies in an irregular manner. We address the problem of generating compact code from software pipelined loops. Although software pipelining is a powerful technique to extract fine-grain parallelism, it generates lifetime intervals spanning multiple loop iterations. These intervals require periodic register allocation (also called variable expansion), which in turn yields a code generation challenge. We are looking for the minimal unrolling factor enabling the periodic register allocation of software pipelined kernels. This challenge is generally addressed through one of: (1) hardware support in the form of rotating register files, which solve the unrolling problem but are expensive in hardware; (2) register renaming by inserting register moves, which increase the number of operations in the loop, and may damage the schedule of the software pipeline and reduce throughput; (3) post-pass loop unrolling that does not compromise throughput but often leads to impractical code growth. The latter approach relies on the proof that MAXLIVE registers (maximal number of values simultaneously alive) are sufficient for periodic register allocation (Eisenbeis et al. in PACT ’95: Proceedings of the IFIP WG10.3 working conference on Parallel Architectures and Compilation Techniques, pages 264–267, Manchester, UK, 1995; Hendren et al. in CC ’92: Proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Compiler Construction, pages 176–191, London, UK, 1992). However, the best existing heuristic for controlling this code growth—modulo variable expansion (Lam in SIGPLAN Not 23(7):318–328, 1988)—may not apply the correct amount of loop unrolling to guarantee that MAXLIVE registers are enough, which may result in register spills Eisenbeis et al. in PACT ’95: Proceedings of the IFIP WG10.3 working conference on Parallel Architectures and Compilation Techniques, pages 264–267, Manchester, UK, 1995. This paper presents our research results on the open problem of minimal loop unrolling, allowing a software-only code generation that does not trade the optimality of the initiation interval (II) for the compactness of the generated code. Our novel idea is to use the remaining free registers after periodic register allocation to relax the constraints on register reuse. The problem of minimal loop unrolling arises either before or after software pipelining, either with a single or with multiple register types (classes). We provide a formal problem definition for each scenario, and we propose and study a dedicated algorithm for each problem. Our solutions are implemented within an industrial-strength compiler for a VLIW embedded processor from STMicroelectronics, and validated on multiple benchmarks suites.  相似文献

Ambient intelligence, ubiquitous and networked robots, and cloud robotics are new research hot topics that have started to gain popularity among the robotics community. They enable robots to acquire richer functionalities and open the way for the composition of a variety of robotic services with three functions: semantic perception, reasoning and actuation. Ubiquitous robots (ubirobots) overcome the limitations of stand-alone robots by integrating them with web services and ambient intelligence technologies. The overlap that exists now between ubirobots and ambient intelligence makes their integration worthwhile. It targets to create a hybrid physical–digital space rich with a myriad of proactive intelligent services that enhance the quality and the way of our living and working. Furthermore, the emergence of cloud computing initiates the massive use of a new generation of ubirobots that enrich their cognitive capabilities and share their knowledge by connecting themselves to cloud infrastructures. The future of ubirobots will certainly be open to an unlimited space of applications such as physical and virtual companions assisting people in their daily living, ubirobots that are able to co-work alongside people and cooperate with them in the same environment, and physical and virtual autonomic guards that are able to protect people, monitor their security and safety, and rescue them in indoor and outdoor spaces. This paper introduces the recent challenges and future trends on these topics.  相似文献
