The effect of TiO2 content on the oxidation of sintered bodies from the conventional Si3N4-Y2O3-Al2O3-AlN system was investigated. Sintered specimens composed of Si3N4, Y2O3, Al2O3, and AlN, with a ratio of 100 : 5 : 3 : 3 wt% and containing TiO2 in the range of 0 to 5 wt% to Si3N4, were fabricated at 1775 °C for 4 h at 0.5 MPa of N2. Oxidation at 1200 to 1400 °C for a maximum of 100 h was performed in atmospheres of dry and wet air flows. The relation between weight gain and oxidation time was confirmed to obey the parabolic law. The activation energies decreased with TiO2 content. In the phases present in the specimens oxidized at 1300 °C for 100 h in dry air, Y3Al5O12 and TiN, which had existed before oxidation, disappeared. Alpha-cristobalite and Y2O3·2TiO2 (Y2T) appeared in their place and increased with increasing TiO2 content. In those oxidized at 1400 °C, -cristobalite was dominant and very small amounts of Y2O3·2SiO2 and Y2T were contained. There was a tendency for more -cristobalite to form in oxidation in wet air than in dry air. Therefore, moisture was confirmed to affect the crystallization of SiO2 formed during oxidation. Judging from the lower activation energy, the crystallization, and the pores formation, we concluded that the addition of TiO2 decreases oxidation resistance. 相似文献

We proposed surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters composed of interdigital Schottky and ohmic contacts on AlGaN/GaN heterostructures. The contribution of the SAWs appeared in the radio frequency characteristics of the filters when the Schottky contacts were reverse biased. Onsets of the SAW signals and the threshold voltage of simultaneously fabricated high-electron mobility transistors were found to almost agree with one another. We also obtained an isolation of >40 dB. These results suggest that SAW-based functional devices are likely to be realized using AlGaN/GaN heterostructures with interdigital Schottky and ohmic contacts 相似文献

The Lit-Sphere model proposed by Sloan et al. (Proceedings of Graphics Interface 2001, pp. 143–150, 2001) is a method for emulating expressive artistic shading styles for 3D scenes. Assuming that artistic shading styles are described by view space normals, this model produces a variety of stylized shading scenes beyond traditional 3D lighting control. However, it is limited to the static lighting case: the shading effect is only dependent on the camera view. In addition, it cannot support small-scale brush stroke styles. In this paper, we propose a scheme to extend the Lit-Sphere model based on light space normals rather than view space normals. Owing to the light space representation, our shading model addresses the issues of the original Lit-Sphere approach, and allows artists to use a light source to obtain dynamic diffuse and specular shading. Then the shading appearance can be refined using stylization effects including highlight shape control, sub-lighting effects, and brush stroke styles. This paper proposes a control system which improves OPU (Optical Pick Up) control performance in an optical disk system. This system can be realized by adding a correction pulse control block which is based on a position error signal onto a conventional position control loop composed of the PID control rule. Using this function, the position error resulting from a physical distortion and acceleration disturbance to the disk can be decreased sharply. Furthermore, this system can decrease the deviation caused by the shock disturbance which cannot be controlled by the PID control rule. In addition, it becomes possible to decrease the overshoot in the impulse response sharply, and realize stable capture of a target position. We have developed a magnetic flux leakage (MFL) system using magnetic resistive (MR) sensors for detecting two dimensional magnetic field components, and an induction coil that generates low magnetic field strengths and extremely low frequencies. The signal at each scanned measurement point (i) was divided by the signal strength Mmes,i and phase αi by a lock-in amplifier. Using the strength Mmes,i and phase αi, we calculated the imaginary part of the signal using the common phase β. By optimization of the common phase β to the imaginary part, the analyzed scanning data curve was shown to be effective in estimating the size (depth and diameter) of back-side pits on a ferrous plate. Comparing the two dimensional magnetic field components of leakage, the imaginary part of the y-component parallel to the induced magnetic field was found to be suitable for detecting the back-side pits. 相似文献

Biodiesel fuels (BDF) have many problems in the cold due to their crystallization properties. In particular, precipitation of large crystals of high‐melting fractions in BDF at low temperatures remarkably changes cold flow property of BDF and, thereby, it increases the values of cold filter plugging point. In this study, we evaluated polyglycerol esters of fatty acids (PGE) and ethylene‐vinyl acetate co‐polymer (EVA) as chemical additives to improve the cold flow property of palm oil‐based FAME (PFME). The results of solid fat content measurement indicate that the simultaneous addition of PGE and EVA showed synergistic effects on suppression of crystallization of PFME, however such effect was not observed when EVA was used alone. DSC thermograms indicated that the PGE additives not only decreased the crystallization temperature but also kinetically suppressed the crystal growth. Polarized light microscopy showed that the simultaneous addition of PGE and EVA led to the formation of considerably small and fine‐dispersed crystals of PFME. These results indicate that combined effects of PGE and EVA caused the formation of fine‐dispersed PFME crystals, which could improve the viscous properties of palm oil‐based BDF at relatively cold temperatures. 相似文献

The numerical simulation of an ammonothermal process for growing GaN bulk single crystals has been performed by using the SC/Tetra computational fluid dynamics software. The autoclave is assumed to be axisymmetric. Heat transfer by natural convection is discussed in the case of flat and funnel-shaped baffles. Simulation results show that the optimum baffle angle is approximately 20°. This result is identical to that obtained in our previous study on the hydrothermal ZnO crystal growth process. 相似文献
