Quaternary ammonium salts are frequently used as antibacterial agent that disrupts cell membrane through the binding of their ammonium cations to anionic sites in the outer layer tissue of bacteria. This article describes the synthesis of quaternary ammonium salt-type antibacterial agents with a phosphate group that strongly binds to hydroxyapatite and bromide ion as counterion. Evaluation of the antibacterial activity of the synthesized compounds in terms of minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC test) showed that the compounds exhibit an excellent antibacterial activity on a variety of bacteria including Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and fungi.  相似文献

This study investigated the effect of the viscosity of the ECAs using a low-melting-point alloy (LMPA) filler on its bonding characteristics. The curing behaviors of the ECAs were determined using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), and ECA temperature-dependant viscosity characteristics were observed using a torsional parallel rheometer. The wetting test was conducted to investigate the reduction capability of ECAs and the flow-coalescence-wetting behavior of the LMPAs in ECAs. Electrical and mechanical properties were determined and compared to those with commercial ECAs and eutectic tin/lead (Sn/Pb) solder. In the metallurgically interconnected Quad Flat Package (QFP) joint, a typical scallop-type Cu–Sn intermetallic compound (IMC) layer formed at the upper SnBi/Cu interface after curing process. On the other hand, a (Cu, Ni)6Sn5 IMC layer formed on the SnBi/ENIG interface. In addition, the fracture surface exhibited by cleavage fracture mode and the fracture was propagated along the Cu–Sn IMC/SnBi interface. The extremely low-level viscosity of ECAs had a significant influence on the flow-coalescence-wetting behavior of the LMPAs in ECAs and also on the interconnection properties. Stable interconnected assemblies showed good electrical and mechanical properties.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to remediate As-contaminated groundwater using both nanomaterials and metal-reducing bacteria. In the batch experiment, a set of Pd-akaganeite in combination with the bacteria removed 95% of the arsenic from the contaminated groundwater. This result suggested that nanotechnology and biotechnology has the potential to create novel and effective treatment technologies for arsenic-contaminated groundwater.  相似文献

The ability to create and manipulate large arrays of inorganic semiconductor micro/nanostructures for integration on unconventional substrates provides new possibilities in device engineering. Here, simple methods are described for the preparation of structures of single crystalline silicon in suspended and tethered configurations that facilitate their deterministic assembly using transfer-printing techniques. Diverse shapes (e.g., straight or curved edges), thicknesses (between 55 nm and 3 μm), and sizes (areas of 4000 μm(2) to 117 mm(2) ) of structures in varied layouts (regular or irregular arrays, with dense or sparse coverages) can be achieved, using either flat or cylindrical roller-type stamps. To demonstrate the technique, printing with 100% yield onto curved, rigid supports of glass and ceramics and onto thin sheets of plastic is shown. The fabrication of a printed array of silicon p(+) -i-n(+) junction photodiodes on plastic is representative of device-printing capabilities.  相似文献

In Pb–Bi-cooled direct contact boiling water small fast reactor (PBWFR), steam is generated by direct contact of feedwater with primary Pb–Bi coolant above the core, and Pb–Bi coolant is circulated by steam lift pump in chimneys. Safety design has been developed to show safety features of PBWFR. Negative void reactivity is inserted even if whole of the core and upper plenum are voided hypothetically by steam intrusion from above. The control rod ejection due to coolant pressure is prevented using in-vessel type control rod driving mechanism. At coolant leak from reactor vessel and feedwater pipes, Pb–Bi coolant level in the reactor vessel required for decay heat removal is kept using closed guard vessel. Dual pipes for feedwater are employed to avoid leak of water. Although there is no concern of loss of flow accident due to primary pump trip, feedwater pump trip initiates loss of coolant flow (LOF). Injection of high pressure water slows down the flow coast down of feedwater at the LOF event. The unprotected loss of flow and heat sink (ATWS) has been evaluated, which shows that the fuel temperatures are kept lower than the safety limits.  相似文献

Glioblastoma multiforme is a lethal disease and represents the most common and severe type of glioma. Drug resistance and the evasion of cell death are the main characteristics of its malignancy, leading to a high percentage of disease recurrence and the patients’ low survival rate. Exploiting the modulation of cell death mechanisms could be an important strategy to prevent tumor development and reverse the high mortality and morbidity rates in glioblastoma patients. Ferroptosis is a recently described type of cell death, which is characterized by iron accumulation, high levels of polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA)-containing phospholipids, and deficiency in lipid peroxidation repair. Several studies have demonstrated that ferroptosis has a potential role in cancer treatment and could be a promising approach for glioblastoma patients. Thus, here, we present an overview of the mechanisms of the iron-dependent cell death and summarize the current findings of ferroptosis modulation on glioblastoma including its non-canonical pathway. Moreover, we focused on new ferroptosis-inducing compounds for glioma treatment, and we highlight the key ferroptosis-related genes to glioma prognosis, which could be further explored. Thereby, understanding how to trigger ferroptosis in glioblastoma may provide promising pharmacological targets and indicate new therapeutic approaches to increase the survival of glioblastoma patients.  相似文献
