The field and temperature dependence of the Hall coefficient has been used to simultaneously extract information about the p and n layers in very long wave length infrared P/n HgCdTe heterojunctions. The field dependence allows the effects of high mobility electrons to be separated from those of low mobility holes. The higher the magnetic field, the higher the sensitivity to the parameters of the P layer. For a maximum magnetic field of 8000 gauss, the hole sheet concentration must be at least five times the electron sheet concentration to obtain accurate results for the P layer. This criterion is satisfied for typical liquid phase epitaxy (LPE) heterostructures. The analysis determines the hole sheet resistance (concentration times mobility), rather than the hole concentration or mobility separately. Independent knowledge of the P layer thickness and the relationship between hole concentration and resistivity are needed to convert the Hall measurement results to hole concentrations. Analysis of the field-dependent Hall data is complicated by the finding that at least three electrons of different mobilities are needed to fit the field dependence of the Hall coefficient in n-type LPE HgCdTe layers. These results are consistent with previous conclusions that electrons with different mobilities are needed to model bulk n-HgCdTe, and with a range of mobilities in the graded composition interface between the LPE layer and CdTe substrate. Consistent results are obtained for the concentrations and mobilities of the three types of electrons in the n-HgCdTe layer with and without the P layer present. N and P type carrier concentrations are also consistent with dopant concentrations measured by secondary ion mass spectroscopy.  相似文献

Significant hypolipidemic activity was demonstrated by 6-ethoxycarbonyl-3-phenyl-1,3,5-triazabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-2,4-dione, 2-ethoxycarbonyl-5-phenyl-1,3,5-triazine-4,6(1H,5H)-dione and 2-ethoxycarbonyl-5-(4-chlorophenyl)-1,3,5-trizine-4,6(1H,5H)-dione in rodents at 20 mg/kg/day. These agents lowered serum cholesterol and triglyceride levels by approximately 40% in mice after 16 d. Tissue lipids in rat liver, small intestinal mucosa, aortic wall and feces were reduced by treatment with the agents. Very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels were reduced in the rat; high density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol levels were elevated after 14 d of treatment. The activities of regulatory enzymes,e.g., acetyl-CoA synthetase, acyl-CoA:cholesterol acyltransferase, cholesterol 7α-hydroxylase,sn-glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase, phosphatidylate phosphohydrolase and heparin-induced lipoprotein lipase, involved inde novo synthesis of hepatic lipids were affected by the agents. The new compounds may represent another class of potentially useful hypolipidemic agents for the treatment of atherosclerosis since HDL cholesterol levels were increased and VLDL and LDL cholesterol levels were lowered by some of the agents.  相似文献

The complex resonant frequencies of the cylindrical-rectangular microstrip structure loaded with a dielectric superstrate layer is studied using a rigorous full-wave analysis, and the numerical results are obtained using the Galerkin moment method calculation. The numerical convergence for the selected sinusoidal basis functions with and without the edge singularity condition is also discussed. Numerical results for the dependence of the real and imaginary parts of the complex resonant frequencies on the superstrate permittivity and thickness are calculated and analyzed, and are compared with those obtained for the planar microstrip structure  相似文献

With recent developments in ad hoc networks and sensor networks, random-access protocol without feedback is a technique that deserves a closer look. This paper is based on Massey's model on random-access channel without feedback. A central concept of this model is the idea of protocol sequences. For these sequences, it is desirable that their cross correlation should be as low as possible and that the length of their period should not be too long, even if there is a large number of active users. Another useful feature is to be able to support multirate communication. Based on these considerations, a new family of protocol sequences is proposed in this paper. These new protocol sequences are built on the concept of prime sequences. It is shown that these sequences possess properties that make them suitable candidates for designing random access protocols for certain ad hoc or sensor networks  相似文献

By using a novel inverted U-shaped radiating patch in place of the conventional planar patch, compact operation of air-substrate patch antennas is presented. The inverted U-shaped patch is formed by adding two downward rims at the two radiating edges of a planar rectangular or square patch. And owing to the added rims, the excited patch's surface current paths are lengthened, which effectively lowers the antenna's resonant frequency and results in large antenna size reduction (>50%). The proposed compact design has been successfully applied to air-substrate patch antennas fed by an aperture-coupled feed. In addition to large size reduction obtained, the proposed antenna with an air-substrate thickness about 5% the wavelength of the center operating frequency can have an impedance bandwidth (10-dB return loss) greater than 9%, a peak antenna gain of about 6.4 dBi, and good broadside radiation patterns with cross-polarization levels better than 20 dB in principal planes.  相似文献

In this work, the prerequisite and mode of electromagnetic response of Al nanofilms to electromagnetic wave field was suggested.Reflectance, transmittance in infrared region and carrier density of the films was measured. With the carrier density of the films, the dependence of their plasma frequencies on the film thickness was obtained. On the other hand, the dependence of absorptance on the frequency of electromagnetic wave field was set up by using the measured reflectance and transmittance,which provided plasma frequency-film thickness relation as well. Similarity of both plasma frequency-film thickness relations proved plasma resonance as a mode of electromagnetic response in Al nanofilms.  相似文献
