We have investigated GaInNAs-GaAsN multiquantum-well (MQW) lasers with two-QW (DQW), three-QW (TQW), and five-QW (5QW) active regions and emission in the 1.3-/spl mu/m range. A solid-source molecular beam epitaxy system has been used to grow the structures. Operation of a GaInNAs 5QW laser is reported. Low threshold currents of 22 (DQW) to 52 mA (5QWs) and external efficiencies of 0.25 W/A (DQWs) to 0.16 W/A (5QWs) per facet are realized under CW operation. T/sub 0/-values of 121 K are obtained.  相似文献

For the first time, GaAs-based 1.5 /spl mu/m singlemode emission has been realised utilising GaInNAs active-layer material and lateral distributed feedback. The double quantum well separate confinement laser structure was grown by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy. A threshold current of 240 mA and an external efficiency of 0.11 W/A could be demonstrated with a sidemode suppression ratio of better than 26 dB in pulsed operation. Singlemode emission up to 1506.5 nm has been realised.  相似文献

Pyramidal, cubical and truncated octahedral magnetite nanocrystals have been synthesized by thermal de-composition of iron (III) acetylacetone (Fe(acac)3) in the presence of oleic acid under various reaction rate controlled by heating rate. The magnetite nanocrystals were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) was applied to reveal the structural information of single magnetite (Fe3O4) nanocrystals. Magnetization curves of the three types of magnetite nanocrystals show that the pyramidal crystals exhibit a slight hysteresis compared to the other two despite of the similar size range. The results suggest that in addition to the surfactant selective capping and varying reaction temperature, the reaction rate variation is also an effective means for controlling the morphology and functions of the magnetite nanocrystals.  相似文献

The effect of natural-fermentation and roasting on maize physicochemical and functional properties were evaluated. Natural fermented maize seeds were soaked for variable times (0, 24 and 48 h) and directly decorticated or roasted before milling into flour. Generally during the 24 to 48 h natural fermentation, total sugars (80.3–92.0 g/100 g) and proteins contents (4.0–7.6 g/100 g) decreased while they significantly increased with soaking. Soluble sugars content of the unroasted maize significantly decreased with fermentation while that of roasted maize significantly increased. Reverse observations were made on soluble proteins. The antinutrients (phytates and total polyphenols) contents of the grains as well as the functional properties of their flours were observed to have been significantly changed following fermentation and roasting. In particular the least gelation concentration (6 to 18 g/100 mL), an important reverse index of gelating power significantly increased with fermentation and roasting. As consequence the viscosity of the fermented maize flours were systematically significantly lower than that of the unfermented flour. Generally while the effects of duration of fermentation and roasting on the viscosity were not consistent, the 48 h natural fermented and roasted flour was observed to particularly produce flours of much lower viscosity. This highlighted the positive effect of combining fermentation and roasting to improve the quality of weaning flour made from maize.  相似文献

Systolic hypertension was studied in 92 patients, aged 60 to 103 years, some of them being followed-up for periods up to 8 years. The examination included that of haemodynamics, functional state of the heart and gas composition of blood (by the dye dilution technique, polycardiography, teleradiography, Sechenov and van Slyke methods, the micro-Astrup technique). The previously reported concept of the author was proved, i.e. the immediate haemodynamic cause of arterial pressure elevation in this pathology consists in an increased cardiac output against the background of an increased total elastic resistance of the arterial system. The elevation of the cardiac output is due not only to the neuro-humoral disorders in the regulation of arterial pressure in old age, but also to the adaptational factors directed to the improvement of oxygen transport and consumption by the tissues when the premeability of the vascular-tissuemembranes is impaired.  相似文献

A study of the physiological behaviour of the synthetic compound Orthonil (alpha-chloro-beta-(3-chloro-o-tolyl)-propionitrile revealed a strong auxin activity in higher plants. Otherwise, Orthonil appeared not to be a herbicide-auxin. It is metabolized intensively in plant tissues. Among the identified metabolites, two compounds were detected which also exert a high auxin activity. It is concluded that at least a part of the apparent auxin activity of Orthonil may be due to alpha-(3-chloro-o-tolyl) acetic acid, one metabolite of Orthonil. Although Orthonil strongly stimulates elongation growth, this growth is not accompanied by a stimulated ethylene evolution as is the case with other auxins. A possible metabolic pathway of Orthonil is discussed.  相似文献

Distribution and activity of acetylcholinesterase in the intramural nerve apparatus of vessels of the base of the bran have been studied with the histochemical method of Koelle-Gomori. On the whole, 268 arteries have been examined. The activity of the ferment is detected in the effector nerve fibers in the wall of all cerebral vessels constituting the system of the circle of Willis. The periarterial nerve apparatus of cerebral arteries of the anterior and posterior regions of the circle of Willis consists of two cholinergic plexuses - superficial and deep plexus forming a multilayered neural cover. The terminal parts of cholinergic nerve fibres at the border with the muscular coat show a granular structure. Moreover, nerve cells rich in active ferment are found in the cholinergic plexuses. Difference in the character of cholinergic innervation of vessels of the internal carotid and the vertebrobasilar region has been shown. The obtained data indicate that the vessels of the circle of Willis possess a reliable cholinergic system of nerve regulation which along with other systems, such as that of adrenergic nerve fibers, maintains the homeostasis of the cerebral blood flow.  相似文献
