If content providers want to build successful businesses on the Internet, they have to establish viable revenue models online. Because selling content or ads is less profitable online than offline, content providers have begun to generate revenues by selling products or services related to their content. However, this incentivizes content providers to increase sales by manipulating their content and thus may harm the content’s credibility. We conducted a vignette-based online experiment to test the effect of content providers’ revenue models on the credibility of two different types of content. Although our results revealed significant differences between revenue models for one of the content types, we did not find evidence that users distrust content providers employing commerce-oriented revenue models. Our findings shed light on the relationship between credibility and monetization of content on the Internet and provide helpful insights for practitioners in the media industry regarding optimal revenue generation strategies.  相似文献

We present a simple and versatile approach for fabricating terahertz lenses based on compression molding of micropowder polymer materials in a tabletop hydraulic press. To demonstrate the feasibility of this approach, a biconvex lens shape is calculated using a ray-tracing algorithm and lenses based on two different micropowders are fabricated. As the powder materials have different refractive indices, the resulting lenses share the same geometric shape but differ in their respective focal length. The focusing properties of the lenses are evaluated by transversal and sagittal beam profile measurements in a fiber-coupled terahertz time-domain spectroscopy system, confirming the excellent imaging qualities of the compression molded lenses.  相似文献

In this work, the mechanical properties of (1 0 0) and (0 0 1) oriented LaGaO3 single crystals have been studied using sharp indenters. Vickers hardness values for both the (1 0 0) and (0 0 1) samples were found to be in the same range (8 GPa). The values for the indentation fracture toughness (KR) from Vickers indentation on the (1 0 0) samples were determined to be 0.8 ± 0.2 MPa m1/2. Different crack lengths, implying a strong anisotropy in the indentation fracture toughness values, were observed in the two mutually perpendicular directions in the indentations on the (0 0 1) samples. These measurements led to estimates of 0.5 ± 0.1 and 1.3 ± 0.3 MPa m1/2 for the two different sets of cracks on the (0 0 1) samples. In situ nanoindentation inside the SEM using a cube-corner indenter has also been used for studying the indentation fracture response of these samples.  相似文献

For different high-temperature applications like aero engines or turbochargers, metal injection molding (MIM) of superalloys is an interesting processing alternative. For operation at high temperatures, oxidation behavior of superalloys produced by MIM needs to match the standard of cast or forged material. The oxidation behavior of nickel-based superalloys Inconel 713 and MAR-M247 in the temperature interval from 1073 K to 1373 K (800 °C to 1100 °C) is investigated and compared to cast material. Weight gain is measured discontinuously at different oxidation temperatures and times. Analysis of oxidized samples is done via SEM and EDX-measurements. MIM samples exhibit homogeneous oxide layers with a thickness up to 4 µm. After processing by MIM, Inconel 713 exhibits lower weight gain and thinner oxide layers than MAR-M247.  相似文献
