Thermal cycling induced failure in power packages has been studied comparing thermal cycling (TC) with thermal shock (TS) tests by thermo-mechanical analyses. The major question for the time reduction is if the failure mechanism changes and if it depends on loading type and duration. These questions were addressed by theoretical analyses including coupled transient thermal–mechanical analyses and interface fracture mechanics applying the cohesive zone approach. By the latter, critical states for delamination failures could be derived. Finally, critical interface fracture parameters of the package were compared with results from the button shear test.  相似文献

Full-field optical coherence microscopy performed with a supercontinuum light source based on a Q-switched micro-chip laser pumped photonic crystal fiber is shown to provide ultra-high resolution images from the interior of scattering samples. We exemplify our imaging approach by a detailed analysis of fiber reinforced polymer samples: comparative analysis by X-ray computed tomography as well as advanced data processing of the obtained 3D data is used to retrieve information on physical parameters like fiber orientation and distribution of point defect structures.  相似文献

This work examines the contribution of solution phase reactions, especially those involving a chain reaction mechanism, to the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and organic compounds in the presence of dissolved iron and ferrihydrite. In solutions at pH 4, where Fe was introduced as dissolved Fe(III), both H2O2 and 14C-labeled formic acid decomposed at measurable rates that agreed reasonably well with those predicted by a kinetic model of the chain reaction mechanism, using published rate constants extrapolated to pH 4. The ratio of the formic acid and H2O2 decomposition rates, as well as the dramatic effect of tert-butyl alcohol on these rates, confirmed that a solution chain reaction mechanism involving *OH controlled the decomposition kinetics of both compounds. In the presence of ferrihydrite as the iron source, the ratio of the rate of formic acid decomposition to that of H2O2 decomposition was significantly lower than that observed in the presence of only dissolved Fe. Moreover, neither rate diminished drastically upon addition of tert-butyl alcohol, indicating that the solution phase chain reaction is not a dominant decomposition pathway of H2O2 and formic acid. Relative decomposition rates of formic acid and a second *OH probe, benzoic acid, were consistent with oxidation of these compounds by *OH. These observations can be reproduced by a kinetic model including (a) decomposition of H2O2 at the iron oxide surface, producing *OH with lower yield than the reaction sequence with dissolved Fe, and (b) low concentrations of dissolved Fe in the presence of ferrihydrite, preventing propagation of the solution phase chain reaction.  相似文献

This work concerns an innovative solar assisted desiccant and evaporative cooling (DEC) system for building air conditioning. In this system, air-to-air packaged wet heat exchangers are used to maximize the exploitation of the evaporative cooling potential associated with the exhaust air stream.The thermodynamic cycle is first theoretically described, and then an example of a real application is shown.The system presented is an experimental DEC system originally installed at the beginning of 2008 at the Solar Laboratory of the University of Palermo and recently modified and updated. These modifications have been implemented with the aim to foster some problems related to the conventional indirect evaporative process and to increase the overall performance of the process.Different energy performance figures, such as thermal and electrical COP, are presented and discussed.The obtained results are very positive, showing that DEC systems can benefit from the use of wet heat exchangers to efficiently cool the air stream after the adsorption process in the desiccant wheel without any change in moisture content.  相似文献

This study analyzed the methodology and applicability of multivariate cumulative sum (MCUSUM) charts for early mastitis and lameness detection. Data used were recorded on the Karkendamm dairy research farm, Germany, between August 2008 and December 2010. Data of 328 and 315 cows in their first 200 d in milk were analyzed for mastitis and lameness detection, respectively. Mastitis as well as lameness was specified according to veterinary treatments. Both diseases were defined as disease blocks. Different disease definitions for mastitis and lameness (2 for mastitis and 3 for lameness) varied solely in the sequence length of the blocks. Only the days before the treatment were included in the disease blocks. Milk electrical conductivity, milk yield, and feeding patterns (feed intake, number of trough visits, and feeding time) were used for the recognition of mastitis. Pedometer activity and feeding patterns were used for lameness detection. To exclude biological trends and obtain independent observations, the values of each input variable were either preprocessed by wavelet filters or a multivariate vector autoregressive model. The residuals generated between the observed and filtered or observed and forecast values, respectively, were then transferred to a classic or self-starting MCUSUM chart. The combination of the 2 preprocessing methods with each of the 2 MCUSUM sum charts resulted in 4 combined monitoring systems. For mastitis as well as lameness detection requiring a block sensitivity of at least 70%, all 4 of the combined monitoring systems used revealed similar results within each of the disease definitions. Specificities of 73 to 80% and error rates of 99.6% were achieved for mastitis. The results for lameness showed that the definitions used obtained specificities of up to 81% and error rates of 99.1%. The results indicate that the monitoring systems with these study characteristics have appealing features for mastitis and lameness detection. However, they are not yet directly applicable for practical implementations.  相似文献

Limiting bone resorption and regenerating bone tissue are treatment goals in myeloma bone disease (MMBD). Physical stimuli such as mechanical loading prevent bone destruction and enhance bone mass in the MOPC315.BM.Luc model of MMBD. It is unknown whether treatment with the Bruton’s tyrosine kinase inhibitor CC-292 (spebrutinib), which regulates osteoclast differentiation and function, augments the anabolic effect of mechanical loading. CC-292 was administered alone and in combination with axial compressive tibial loading in the MOPC315.BM.Luc model for three weeks. However, neither CC-292 alone nor its use in combination with mechanical loading was more effective in reducing osteolytic bone disease or rescuing bone mass than mechanical stimuli alone, as evidenced by microcomputed tomography (microCT) and histomorphometric analysis. Further studies are needed to investigate novel anti-myeloma and anti-resorptive strategies in combination with physical stimuli to improve treatment of MMBD.  相似文献
