Computational probabilistic noninterference   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Information flow and noninterference are popular concepts for expressing confidentiality and integrity properties. We present the first general definition of probabilistic noninterference in reactive systems that includes a computational case. This case is essential for coping with real cryptography since noninterference properties can usually only be guaranteed if the underlying cryptographic primitives have not been broken. This might happen, but only with negligible probability. We show that our noninterference definition is maintained under simulatability, the notion of secure implementation of modern cryptography. This allows secure composition of systems and yields a general strategy for including cryptographic primitives in information-flow proofs. As an example we study a cryptographic firewall guarding two honest users from their environment.  相似文献

The effect of liming an acidic mineral soil (Dystric Nitosol from southern China), used for arable agriculture, on N2O emission was studied in an incubation experiment. After the soil pH had been raised from pH 4.4 to 5.2, 6.7 and 8.1, soil samples were either amended with NH4 + and incubated aerobically, favoring nitrification or, after application of NO3 , the incubation took place under anaerobic conditions, favoring denitrification. Gas sampling for N2O determination and soil analyses were performed at regular intervals up to 13 days. Under nitrification conditions only small N2O emission rates were observed (max. 6 g N kg–1 d–1) with significant differences between high and low pH values during the first 2 days of incubation. The nitrifying activity was low, even with high pH, and this, together with good aeration conditions, could partly explain the small N2O evolution. During denitrification, however, cumulative N2O emissions reached much higher values (1600 g N kg–1 in comparison to 40 g N kg–1 under nitrification conditions). N2O emission during denitrification was significantly enhanced by increasing soil pH. Under alkaline conditions (pH 8.1) a large nitrite accumulation occurred, which was in line with the highest nitrate reductase activity determined in this treatment. The limited availability of organic carbon is probably the main reason for the absence of further reduction of NO2 to N2O or N2. At pH 6.7 the total N2O emission was slightly higher than at pH 8.1, although the start of pronounced emissions was retarded and only small amounts of NO2 accumulated. Acid soil conditions caused either negligible (pH 4.4) or only small (pH 5.2) N2O emissions. It can be concluded that these kinds of soil, used alternatively for production of upland crops or paddy rice, are prone to high N2O emissions after flooding, particularly under neutral to alkaline conditions. In order to avoid major N2O evolution and accumulation of nitrite, which can be leached into groundwater, the pH should not be raised to values above 5.5–6.  相似文献

The present study investigated the effects of irrelevant stimulus orientation on visually guided grasping movements. Participants had to grasp a rectangular object at either the ends or the sides, depending on the color of a visual stimulus. In this task, correspondence between stimulus orientation and object orientation (stimulus-object congruency) and correspondence between stimulus orientation and hand orientation (stimulus-hand congruency) varied independently. Two experiments, with different sets of object orientations, revealed a consistent pattern of results. In particular, there were significant effects of stimulus-hand congruency, suggesting that perceiving an object activates congruently oriented hand movements. However, stimulus-object congruency had no effects, indicating that participants did not benefit from a preactivation of object orientation in the present task. The pattern of congruency effects implies that the cognitive representation, which is affected by irrelevant visual information, entails only those object or response features that are needed to select and control a response. An operational tool has been designed to enhance the quality of 2D radar reflectivity data for assimilation in COSMO-DE within the German Weather Service (DWD). This article describes the operational algorithms including their testing, the creation of local and composite quality-index fields and their application to improve data assimilation. In the first step, algorithms have been developed and tested to define and identify some of the most severe errors in radar data: corrupt images, low-reflectivity phenomena, which occur under special meteorological conditions, spokes, rings and clutter remnants/speckles. The algorithms use simple but effective tests based on statistical and textural characteristics of spurious signals. The results are stored in an 8-bit quality-index field created concurrently with the radar data at each radar station. It contains quality flags for each individual range bin plus some header information on the overall quality of the underlying data set. The independent coding of error bits enables a differentiated a posteriori decision on whether a range bin is to be used for a given application. These local quality index fields are then used to create a radar precipitation composite, accompanied by a quality-index composite, covering Germany. This tool has now been applied operationally throughout the German radar network. As a result, the radar data quality in data assimilation could be increased.  相似文献

Non-targeted effects (NTE) of ionizing radiation may initiate myeloid neoplasms (MN). Here, protein mediators (I) in irradiated human mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC) as the NTE source, (II) in MSC conditioned supernatant and (III) in human bone marrow CD34+ cells undergoing genotoxic NTE were investigated. Healthy sublethal irradiated MSC showed significantly increased levels of reactive oxygen species. These cells responded by increasing intracellular abundance of proteins involved in proteasomal degradation, protein translation, cytoskeleton dynamics, nucleocytoplasmic shuttling, and those with antioxidant activity. Among the increased proteins were THY1 and GNA11/14, which are signaling proteins with hitherto unknown functions in the radiation response and NTE. In the corresponding MSC conditioned medium, the three chaperones GRP78, CALR, and PDIA3 were increased. Together with GPI, these were the only four altered proteins, which were associated with the observed genotoxic NTE. Healthy CD34+ cells cultured in MSC conditioned medium suffered from more than a six-fold increase in γH2AX focal staining, indicative for DNA double-strand breaks, as well as numerical and structural chromosomal aberrations within three days. At this stage, five proteins were altered, among them IQGAP1, HMGB1, and PA2G4, which are involved in malign development. In summary, our data provide novel insights into three sequential steps of genotoxic signaling from irradiated MSC to CD34+ cells, implicating that induced NTE might initiate the development of MN.  相似文献

We present a design and a top-down fabrication method for realizing diamond nanowires in both bulk single crystal and polycrystalline diamond. Numerical modeling was used to study coupling between a Nitrogen Vacancy (NV) color center and optical modes of a nanowire, and to find an optimal range of nanowire diameters that allows for large collection efficiency of emitted photons. Inductively coupled plasma (ICP) reactive ion etching (RIE) with oxygen is used to fabricate the nanowires. Drop-casted nanoparticles (including Au, SiO2 and Al2O3) as well as electron beam lithography defined spin-on glass and evaporated Au have been used as an etch mask. We found Al2O3 nanoparticles to be the most etch resistant. At the same time FOx e-beam resist (spin-on glass) proved to be a suitable etch mask for fabrication of ordered arrays of diamond nanowires. We were able to obtain nanowires with near-vertical sidewalls in both polycrystalline and single crystal diamond. The heights and diameters of the polycrystalline nanowires presented in this paper are ≈ 1 μm and 120–340 nm, respectively, having a 200 nm/min etch rate. In the case of single crystal diamond (types Ib and IIa) nanowires the height and diameter for different diamonds and masks shown in this paper were 1–2.4 μm and 120–490 nm with etch rates between 190 and 240 nm/min.  相似文献

Quality Management during the Fabrication of Chemical Equipment Made of Special Materials Optimizing a material's resistance to corrosion by the addition of alloying elements up to their solubility limits will make it increasingly difficult to use these frequently unstable alloys for the manufacture of chemical plant. The requirements these materials have to meet in the manufacture of chemical plant in terms of manufacturing technology and quality management, are becoming increasingly stringent. The current situation, for example in the manufacture of domed heads of pressure vessels, forgings, heat exchangers, and filter screens with a high specific surface area as a constituent part of stirred suction filters using advanced metallic materials, is not very satisfactory. Results of fabrication tests necessary for pressure vessel manufacture as well as in-service failures frequently demonstrate insufficient expertise of workshops dealing with high-alloy stainless steels and nickel-based materials. That the in-service failure of compoents clearly leads to considerable costs due to maintenance, delays in supply, and production downtimes. The economic consequences can be substantial. The aim of this paper is to highlight sensitive areas by demonstrating the impact of unintentional and unnoticed fabrication-related changes in welding parameters and to provide information on easily applicable methods of monitoring techniques.  相似文献
