The hot-pressed materials are suggested here as potential luminescent sources in the fabrication of display devices. Two types of electroluminescent diodes were prepared from hot-pressed ZnSe specimens. The current-voltage relationships of these diodes were examined at room temperature and liquid nitrogen temperature. At room temperature the emission spectra of the diodes with and without the Cl coactivator exhibited the usual broad band with a single peak in the red region. At liquid nitrogen temperature, only a slight shift of the emission band was observed in the diodes without the Cl coactivator, but different bands as well as edge emissions appeared from the diodes with the Cl coactivator.  相似文献

We have developed an assay (Endopep-MS) that detects the specific endoproteinase activities of all seven BoNT types by mass spectrometry (MS). Each BoNT type cleaves a unique site on proteins involved in neuronal transmission. Target peptide substrates based on these proteins identify a BoNT type by its enzymatic action on the substrate and the production of two peptide products, which are then detected by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight MS or liquid chromatography electrospray ionization MS/MS. We showed the ability to detect all seven toxin types in a multiplexed assay format. The detection limits achieved range from 0.039 to 0.625 mouse LD(50)/mL for toxin types A, B, E, and F in a buffer system. The Endopep-MS assay is the first to differentiate all seven BoNT types, is sensitive, specific, and has the potential to quantify toxin activity.  相似文献

An often neglected part of proof automation is simply admitting recursive function definitions into a constructive logic. Since function termination in general is undecidable, current generation theorem provers are quick to involve the human. There is, however, a substantial subset of the class of recursive functions for which termination arguments can be provided automatically. In particular, when the ordinal measure used to justify termination is less than , we provide algorithms and proofs that guarantee optimum results, given the capability of existing proof libraries on the theorem-proving system.  相似文献

We present a beam-shaping technique for two-photon excitation (TPE) fluorescence microscopy. We show that by inserting a properly designed three-ring pupil filter in the illumination beam of the microscope, the effective optical sectioning capacity of such a system improves so that the point spread function gets a quasi-spherical shape. Such an improvement, which allows the acquisition of 3D images with isotropic quality, is obtained at the expense of only a small increase of the overall energy in the axial sidelobes. The performance of this technique is illustrated with a scanning TPE microscopy experiment in which the image of small beads is obtained. We demonstrate an effective narrowing of 12.5% in the axial extent of the point spread function, while keeping the 82% of the spot-fluorescence efficiency.  相似文献

Networks based upon the asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) provide for high flexibility to cope with a wide range of applications, some of them producing highly sporadic traffic. Therefore, the problem of burstiness has become in the last few years a key issue for such networks. A basic question is how to dimension network buffers in the presence of bursty traffic? In this paper we investigate the concept of burstiness and its impact on resource management. In burstiness characterization encountered in the literature, special attention has been given to the squared coefficient of variation of inter-arrival time Cv2 in a cell arrival process. In order to observe the impact of bursty traffic on a queue, we develop in the present paper a ‘bursty’ traffic model, namely the two-stage hyper-Bernoulli cell arrival process, HBP2, for short. We numerically solve the HBP2/D/1/K queue. We especially derive the rejection probability Ploss. Numerical results are then thoroughly studied and we discuss the relevance for burstiness characterization of Cv2 and peak to mean rate ratio B. We draw attention to the concept of local overload, i.e. when the arrival rate is greater than the server rate. This seems to be the most relevant phenomenon in the impact of a bursty traffic on a queue. These results are finally applied to the problem of resource management in ATM networks.  相似文献
