This paper describes a robust glottal source estimation method based on a joint source-filter separation technique. In this method, the Liljencrants-Fant (LF) model, which models the glottal flow derivative, is integrated into a time-varying ARX speech production model. These two models are estimated in a joint optimization procedure, in which a Kalman filtering process is embedded for adaptively identifying the vocal tract parameters. Since the formulated joint estimation problem is a multiparameter nonlinear optimization procedure, we separate the optimization procedure into two passes. The first pass initializes the glottal source and vocal tract models by solving a quasi-convex approximate optimization problem. Having robust initial values, the joint estimation procedure determines the accuracy of model estimation implemented with a trust-region descent optimization algorithm. Experiments with synthetic and real voice signals show that the proposed method is a robust glottal source parameter estimation method with a high degree of accuracy.  相似文献

You can measure a software system's value by its modularity. The more modular the system, the easier it is to produce and extend. Aspect-oriented programming technologies aim to improve system modularity by modularizing crosscutting concerns. Global properties and programming and design issues can lead to crosscutting concerns--for example, error handling or transaction code, interacting features, and reliability and security. The guest editors introduce aspect-oriented programming and describe this special issue's articles, which explain the use of aspect-oriented programming to simplify enterprise and system software, the need to expand an interface's meaning in the presence of aspects, and the application of aspects to design and requirements activities.  相似文献

As computing components get smaller and people become accustomed to having computational power at their disposal at any time, mobile computing is developing as an important research area. One of the fundamental problems in mobility is maintaining connectivity through message passing as the user moves through the network. An approach to this is to have a single home node constantly track the current location of the mobile unit and forward messages to this location. One problem with this approach is that, during the update to the home agent after movement, messages are often dropped, especially in the case of frequent movement. In this paper, we present a new algorithm which uses a home agent, but maintains information regarding a subnet within which the mobile unit must be present. We also present a reliable message delivery algorithm which is superimposed on the region maintenance algorithm. Our strategy is based on ideas from diffusing computations as first proposed by Dijkstra and Scholten. Finally, we present a second algorithm which limits the size of the subnet by keeping only a path from the home node to the mobile unit  相似文献

Although fatty acid-binding proteins (FABP) differentially affect fatty acid uptake, nothing is known regarding their role(s) in determining cellular phospholipid levels and phospholipid fatty acid composition. The effects of liver (L)- and intestinal (I)-FABP expression on these parameters were determined using stably transfected L-cells. Expression of L- and I-FABP increased cellular total phospholipid mass (nmol/mg protein) 1.7- and 1.3-fold relative to controls, respectively. L-FABP expression increased the masses of choline glycerophospholipids (ChoGpl) 1.5-fold, phosphatidylserine (PtdSer) 5.6-fold, ethanolamine glycerophospholipids 1.4-fold, sphingomyelin 1.7-fold, and phosphatidylinositol 2.6-fold. In contrast, I-FABP expression only increased the masses of ChoGpl and PtdSer, 1.2- and 3.1-fold, respectively. Surprisingly, both L- and I-FABP expression increased ethanolamine plasmalogen mass 1.6- and 1.1-fold, respectively, while choline plasmalogen mass was increased 2.3- and 1.7-fold, respectively. The increase in phospholipid levels resulted in dramatic 48 and 33% decreases in the cholesterol-to-phospholipid ratio in L- and I-FABP expressing cells, respectively. L-FABP expression generally increased polyunsaturated fatty acids, primarily by increasing 20∶4n−6 and 22∶6n−3, while decreasing 18∶1n−9 and 16∶1n−7. I-FABP expression generally increased only 20∶4n−6 proportions. Hence, expression of both I- and L-FABP differentially affected phospholipid mass, class composition, and acyl chain composition. Although both proteins enhanced phospholipid synthesis, the effect of L-FABP was much greater, consistent with previous work suggesting that these two FABP differentially affect lipid metabolism.  相似文献

We report here on the synthesis and properties of a monosubstituted quaterthiophene derivative asymmetrically functionalized by an electron-withdrawing group using the palladium-catalyzed Stille's coupling reaction. The UV–vis absorption spectrum evidences a strong intramolecular charge transfer transition. Thus oligothiophenes act as electron donors and substituent group as acceptor. The diodes in which monosubstituted quaterthiophenes behave as organic semiconductors, exhibit a rectifying behavior. Photovoltaic measurements show moderate power conversion efficiency.  相似文献

Carboxylate and sulfate groups were introduced at the surface of poly(ethylene) (PE) samples. This was accomplished by coating and immobilizing sodium 10-undecenoate (C11(:)) and 10-undecene sulfate (S11(:)) on the polymer by means of an argon plasma treatment. The composition of the coated surfactant layer was proportional to the composition of the coating solution. The thickness of the surfactant layer on the surface of PE samples, which were precoated from an aqueous solution with a total surfactant concentration of 0.30 M, was about 55 A. The presence of carboxylate and sulfate groups after plasma treatment of the precoated surfaces was confirmed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). About 20% of the initial amount of functional groups of the coated surfactants was retained at the PE surface. The ratio of carboxylate/sulfate groups at the plasma treated surfaces was dependent on the composition of the precoated surfaces. The minimum surface density of these groups on the resulting samples was about one group per 40 A2.  相似文献
