Entwicklung einer kontinuierlichen Mikrowellen‐Vakuumtrocknungsanlage mit hexagonalem Verfahrensraum

A continuous microwave vacuum drying processor with a hexagonal cross‐section of the cavity was constructed. Due to the geometry of the cavity and the continuous movement of the product, homogeneous microwave power absorption of the product can be favored. By the expansion and simultaneous dehydration of non‐expanded, starch‐based extrudates, the applicability of the constructed processor could be shown.     

An Engineering Approach for Estimating the Formation of Nitric Oxide from Fuel‐Nitrogen

Explicit approximate equations for estimating the conversion factor of fuel‐nitrogen into nitric oxide are presented. They depend on the fuel‐nitrogen mole fraction, the initial nitric oxide mole fraction, and the kinetics‐equilibrium mole fraction of nitric oxide. This last parameter expresses a limiting value of fuel‐nitrogen conversion; it includes the complex nitrogen chemistry and depends thus on combustion conditions. Experimental results demonstrate that the kinetics‐equilibrium mole fraction for fuel‐lean and high‐temperature conditions can be well estimated by the chemical‐equilibrium mole fraction, but for lower temperatures the kinetics‐equilibrium mole fraction has to be described by other correlations.     

A Pragmatic Approach to Reuse in Tactical Theorem Proving

In interactive theorem proving, tactics and tacticals have been introduced to automate proof search. In this scenario, user interaction traditionally is restricted to the mode in which the user decides which tactic to apply on the top-level, without being able to interact with the tactic once it has begun running.We propose a technique to allow the implementation of derivational analogy in tactical theorem proving. Instead of replaying tactics including backtracked dead ends our framework makes choice points in tactics explicit and thus avoids dead ends when reusing tactics. Additionally users can override choices a tactic has made or add additional steps to a derivation without terminating the tactic. The technique depends on an efficient replay of tactic executions without repeating search that the original computation may have involved.     

High-Temperature Electrical Properties in the ThO2-Rich Region of ThO2-RE2O3 Systems

In the present study the n -type electronic conduction in terms of the parameter p e, and the phase relations in several ThO₂-RE2O₃ systems were examined. Large fluorite solid solution regions exist at elevated temperatures. It was demonstrated that RE₂O₃-doped thoria compositions feature lower parameters p e, and higher chemical stability than the conventional stabilized ZrO2 electrolytes. The results are given in terms of the characteristic parameter p e, in the temperature range from 1000° to 1600°C. The experimental investigations were made using a new thermodynamic measuring system.
