Shock recovered samples of a coarse grain (10 μm), high density (>99.9% theoretical) alumina from asymmetric impact tests conducted at 6.5 GPa (e.g. 3.2 times its Hugoniot Elastic Limit) in a single stage gas gun and characterized by X-ray diffractometry, scanning and field emission scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy showed prolific presence of reduced crystallite size, higher average microstrain, grain localized micro/nano-scale deformations, micro-cleavages, grain-boundary microcracks, micro-wing crack formation, extensive shear induced deformations and fractures localized at grains, grain boundaries and triple grain junctions, grain localized entanglement of dislocations and their pile up impeded at grain boundaries. A new qualitative model based on micro-shear and micro-twist induced deformation and fracture in single and/or multiple planes in suitably oriented grain and/or grain assembly was developed to explain the experimentally observed damage evolution process.  相似文献

Control of Three-Phase, Four-Wire PWM Rectifier   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
This paper presents the analysis, design, and control of a four-wire rectifier system using split-capacitor topology. The proposed controller does not require any complex transformation or input voltage sensing. A detailed analysis of the distortions in the line and the neutral currents is presented. It is shown that the single-carrier-based, conventional sine-triangle PWM (CSPWM) scheme results in a peak-to-peak neutral current ripple, which is greater than the peak-to-peak ripple of any of the line currents. Also, for the same operating condition, the distortions in the line and the neutral currents increase considerably, when a three-limb boost inductor is used instead of three single-phase inductors. A three-carrier-based SPWM scheme is proposed in this paper. Compared to CSPWM, the proposed scheme significantly reduces the neutral current ripple when three single-phase inductors are used, and reduces both line and neutral current ripples when a three-limb inductor is used. The control scheme is verified through Matlab simulation. It is implemented on an field-programmable gate-array (FPGA)-based digital controller and tested on a prototype. We have investigated the 20 nm p-type double gate junctionless tunnel field effect transistor (P-DGJLTFET) and the impact of variation of different device parameters on the performance parameters of the P-DGJLTFET is discussed. We achieved excellent results of different performance parameters by taking the optimized device parameters of the P-DGJLTFET. Together with a high-k dielectric material (TiO2) of 20 nm gate length, the simulation results of the P-DGJLTFET show excellent characteristics with a high IoN of ~ 0.3 mA/μm, a low/OFF of ~ 30 fA/μm, a high ION/IOFF ratio of ~ 1×10^10, a subthreshold slope (SS) point of ~ 23 mV/decade, and an average SS of ~ 49 mV/decade at a supply voltage of -1 V and at room temperature, which indicates that PDGJLTFET is a promising candidate for sub-22 nm technology nodes in the implementation of integrated circuits.  相似文献

The double perovskite oxide strontium gadolinium tantalate, Sr2GdTaO6 (SGT) is synthesized by solid-state reaction technique. The Rietveld refinement of the X-ray diffraction pattern of the sample shows monoclinic phase at room temperature. FTIR spectrum shows two primary phonon modes of the sample at around 373 cm−1 and 562 cm−1. The electronic structure of SGT has been investigated by Vienna ab-initio simulation package. The eigen frequencies of different phonon modes have been calculated and compared with the experimental data observed by Raman spectroscopy. Dielectric properties of the sample are investigated in a temperature range from 303 K to 673 K and in a frequency range of 42 Hz–1 MHz. The relaxation peaks are observed in the frequency dependent spectra for imaginary part of the dielectric constant. The modified Cole–Cole equation is used to describe the relaxation mechanism in SGT. The frequency dependent conductivity spectra follow the Jonscher power law.  相似文献

This study focused on isolation and identification of possible phosphate‐solubilizing bacteria (PSB ) from the sewage‐fed East Kolkata Wetland (EKWL ), a prospective water resource for pisciculture. In addition, different limnological parameters have been correlated with orthophosphate and seasonal variations. PSB have been isolated in Pikovskaya medium and identified morphologically and biochemically and finally analysed by 16S rDNA gene sequence. Limnological studies involving temperature (potentiometric), pH (potentiometric), dissolved oxygen (iodometric), ammonia‐nitrogen (spectrophotometric) and orthophosphate (spectrophotometric) concentrations were conducted. The results of this study established the presence of Bacillus megaterium , a potential PSB in EKWL . The activity of B. megaterium is also supported by the seasonal orthophosphate variations. The changes in concentration of other limnological parameters were also prominent. The water quality parameters of temperature (r  = 0.886), dissolved oxygen (r  = 0.729) and ammonia‐nitrogen (r  = 0.396) concentrations exhibited a positive correlation with orthophosphate and a negative correlation with pH (r  = ?0.699). The B. megaterium obtained in this study, exhibited a significant alteration in regard to orthophosphate content and relationships with other factors. Further experiment on the soluble phosphorus solubilization potential of B. megaterium revealed the biological availability of phosphorus was increased by threefold after 120 hr of incubation, with the decreasing pH value, although the phytase activity was 0.419 U/ml. PSB have a vital function in plant nutrition in supplying phosphate, essential nutrients and its uptake results in appropriate functioning and metabolism of different aquatic plants and organisms. PSB are competent biofertilizer to amplify aquaculture production for sustainable development.  相似文献

A Ghatshila chalcopyrite concentrate (average particle size, 50 μm) containing primarily CuFeS2 and SiO2 (Cu 16 pct, Fe 26 pct, S 14 pct, Si 5 pct, and O 33 pct) was reduced by a stream of hydrogen in a horizontal tube furnace at 1323 K (1050 °C), producing a mixture of Cu (26 pct), SiO2, Fe2O3, Fe3O4, Cu2O, and Fe. Subsequent acid leaching with 1 M HCl solution of the reduction product removed all iron oxides and iron, and other impurities too, leaving a Cu (53.3 pct) + SiO2 mixture, with a small percentage of Cu2O in it. This result compares well with the predicted final mixture of Cu (59 pct)-SiO2 based on a mass balance on the starting concentrate. Elemental chemical analyses were done by energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, which were crosschecked by atomic absorption spectroscopy in the majority of cases. The phase identification and microstructural characterization of Cu-SiO2 mixtures were done by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Rietveld analysis, scanning electron microscopy, and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). It was found that Cu-SiO2 composites were formed in the final product, with a copper grain size of 385 nm.  相似文献

Amino acid based superabsorbent polymer (SAP) organogel library has been synthesized from Boc-glycine/alanine/valine/leucine/isoleucine/phenylalanine methacryloyl-oxyethyl ester (Boc-Gly/Ala/Val/Leu/Ilu/Phe-HEMA), which can switch over to corresponding hydrogels by simple one step Boc deprotection method. Swelling behaviour of organogels is investigated in various organic solvents (dielectric constant (ε) between 2.25 and 46.7), shows superabsorbent property in nonpolar organic solvents (2.25 ≤ ε ≤ 10.26) and moderate degree of swelling in polar aprotic solvents like acetone, N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), acetonitrile, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), etc. Swelling property of organogels is greatly influenced by the –R group of pendant amino acids and increases as bulkiness and hydrophobicity of –R increased. Organogels release absorbed volatile organic compounds (VOCs) very rapidly at room temperature and bulkiness of –R group accelerate the deswelling kinetic. Deprotection of Boc groups in the organogel network converts them to superabsorbent cationic polyelectrolyte hydrogels with high degree of swelling (∼518 for hydrogel from leucine) due to the presence of –NH3+ ion functionality, and the swelling ratio of hydrogels is drastically affected by the –R group of amino acids moiety, pH of aqueous medium and ionic strength of the solutions.  相似文献

Well-dispersed single phasic flower-like zero valent iron nanoparticles have been synthesized under aerobic conditions using a facile approach without the addition of any additives or templates. The role of hydroxyl groups of polyhydroxy alcohols in controlling surface morphology of nanoparticles has been thoroughly investigated. The obtained nanoparticles have been characterized by TEM, FE-SEM, XRD and BET surface area analyzer. Electron microscopy analyses reveal that the solvent plays a pivotal role in determining the morphology of the particles. With increase in viscosity of the solvent, formations of ‘petal-like’ structures, which are joined at the center are formed. The nitrate removal efficiency of the iron nanoparticles synthesized in different solvents has been studied and it is seen that the “flower-like” iron nanoparticles were most active in the removal of nitrate. Experiments have been done by varying (i) nitrate concentrations, (ii) nanoparticle dose, and (iii) type of nanoparticles. The results conclude that highest removal efficiency (~100%) was achieved when the nanoparticle dose was 2.88 g/L, even for high nitrate concentrations up to 400 mg/L. The major highlight of this work is the fact that even though the nanoparticles synthesized in glycerol-water mixture have larger size in comparison to the other nanoparticles, still they remove the nitrates with highest efficiency.”  相似文献
